Abstract

Reading texts are an important component of Comprehensive Chinese courses, consisting of words, sentences, phrases and grammar. In learning reading texts, students use translation to understand the meaning and significance of reading texts. Therefore, to produce good translation results and avoid errors, the use of appropriate translation methods is necessary. The author uses a quantitative research method to find out the translation methods used by the 2020 Batch Students of Mandarin Language Education Study Program Fkip Untan in translating reading texts in Chinese Comprehensive courses as well as their results on equivalence and translation errors, with the research instrument used in the form of a test. Based on Newmark's theory of translation methods, the results of data analysis showed that students use four types of translation methods which are, literal (87.2%), wordfor-word (7.2%), communicative (4.2%) and free translation (1.5%). The translation errors made by the students are caused by their lack of ability in interpreting a word, errors in placing the word order and word reduction which makes the meaning of the whole sentence ambiguous. Therefore, students' understanding and mastery of the source language text still need to be improved to avoid translation errors or vocabulary mismatches, and to be able to adjust the translation to the rules or customs of the target language.

Abstract

To understand the process of learning Mandarin in Pontianak Bilingual Kindergarten, the author took Kinderfield Kindergarten and Adicita Mulia Kindergarten as research objects. The research methods used were purpose sampling, interviews and observations. The author will analyze relevant learning materials, learning objectives, learning evaluation, learning environment and learning methods to determine the situation of learning Mandarin in kindergartens in Pontianak. According to the results of data analysis, Mandarin classes are only given once a week at school. Because there is less time to learn Mandarin, the teacher only introduces everyday vocabulary, the aim is for students to understand the meaning of everyday Mandarin vocabulary. Teachers use translation methods, game methods, and object methods to explain vocabulary. Pontianak Bilingual Kindergarten uses various teaching methods to make the class more active, such as using children's songs, playing games together, etc. so that it can increase children's interest in learning and not put too much pressure on children. Students read the vocabulary words one by one and the teacher will evaluate their learning, to see if students have made progress in Mandarin and what help they still need.

Abstract

The teachers, modules, and the students are three important learning characteristica. Modules are the materials for learning and guidance to the students and can add to the students' knowledge which can be in the form of writing, sound, things based on definite scientific aspects and put together into a book. Choosing the suitable module that suits the students is one of the significant responsibilities of the teachers. It is because the selected module can affect the entire learning process."Mandarin Languange Module Of Kristen Immanuel II Sungai Raya Vocational School" is a module that comes from various teaching materials and is collected by local teachers which is compiled into a book, and which is classified as a self-made module. In this thesis through, literacy collection and module content analysis, the strengths and the weaknesses have been understood and identified. Through research and analysis, the author concluded "Mandarin Languange Module Of Kristen Immanuel II Sungai Raya Vocational School" is a module that is not yet fulfilled the provisions, even though in terms of suitability aspects, it is already good. However, in the scientific aspects, use and interest are still not according to the rules. Therefore, the author provided several suggestions for module improvement.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the government's strategy in empowering small and medium enterprises in North Luwu Regency. The method used in this study is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The results of the research show that in the process of empowering SMEs with indicators of goals, environment, direction, action and learning as well as supporting and inhibiting factors, the government in Luwu Uara Regency has attempted to empower SMEs in North Luwu . With the aim of improving people's welfare as well as being the driving force of the national economy. Through internal and external environmental factors, namely cooperation and support between the government and business actors, the DP2KUKM government then provides direction, namely by conducting outreach among fellow policy implementing actors and between community policy implementers supported by financial institutions

Abstract

Tujcuan dari peneclitian ini adaclah untcuk menyelidiki: (1) Pengaruch kompbetensi pedagogik guru dan kompetensi profesional terhacdap motivcasi belacjar siswca pada kelas ekocnomi khususnya muatan akuntansi di SMAN 11 Luwu Utara; (2) pengcaruh kompcetensi pedagcogik dan komcpetensi profesiconal guru terhadcap moticvasi belcajar siscwa pada mata pelacjaran yang sama; selanjutnya (3) Faktor manakah yang mempengaruhi motivasi siswa untuk belajar lebih banyak?. Variabel penelitiannya adalah Motivasi Belajar (Y), Kompetensi Pedagogis (X2), Kompetensi Profesional (X1), dan Motivasi Belajar (X2). Populasi penelitian adalah 340 siswa terdaftar di SMAN 11 Luwu Utara yang sedang mempelajari akuntansi dan ekonomi. Decngan mencggunakan teknik proporsional stratified random sampling, sampel diambil sebanyak 77 siswa. Data dikumcpulkan melalui kuecsioner dan dokumecntasi. Dengan menggunakan SPSS 22 for Windows, analisis data menggunakan pengujcian instrumcen, pengcujian asumcsi tradisioncal, dan pcengujian hipotcesis. Temduan penelitian menudnjukkan : (1) Pengaruh baik dan signifidkan secadra simudltan Kompedtensi Pedagodgik Guru dan Kompedtensi Prodfesional terhaddap Modtivasi Bdelajar Siswda; (2) Komdpetensi Profesional Guru secara parsial berpedngaruh podsitif dan sigdnifikan terhadadp Motivasi Belajadr Siswda; (3) Maotivasi Baelajar Siaswa sedikit banyak dipeangaruhi secaara signifiakan dan positif oleh Kompetensi Pedaagogik Guru; dan (4) Di SMAN 11 Luwu Utara, Kodmpetensi Profesiondal mdempunyai pendgaruh yang lebih besar terhadadp Mdotivasi Bdelajar Siswda pada kelas akuntansi dan ekonomi.

Abstract

Abstract

Financial performance is a formal effort to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness ofa company in generating profits. The method used is a qualitative method using a descriptive approach; the subject in this study is PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk and the object in this study is the financial statement data of PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk. The data source used in this study is secondary data taken from the official website of PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk. This study aims to determinethe financial performance of PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk using the CurrentRatio, debt-to-equityRatio, and return on assets. It is expected to provide helpful information for companies and investors in making investment decisions. Based on the attached data, it shows that during the 2018-2022 period, the average Ratio of each Ratio in PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk is as follows: at the liquidity ratio of current assets of 8,178,740 and current liabilities of 12,488,997. At the Ratio of total debt solvency of 14,415,546 and total equity of 5,223,178. Theprofitability ratio of total assets amounted to 56,794,724, and net profit amounted to 6,955,753. From the results of this study, the Company's financial performance shows a low level of liquidity, a higher level of risk due to the use of more considerable debt, and suboptimal operational performance. Therefore, companies must pay attention to cost management, debt management, and sales activities to improve financial performance. TheCompanyCompany should increase sales toenhance efficient financial performance. This research is expected to make theoretical contributions to the literature in this context, including in the context of economic and banking management.

Abstract

Synonyms refer to words that have the same or similar meanings, as in the words "liánxù" and "lùxù". "Liánxù" and "lùxù" both have a similar meaning, which means something that happens continuously. However, these two words have different meanings and uses. To understand what mistakes and difficulties were experienced by Chinese Language Education Students of the FKIP UNTAN batch of 2019 in using the words "liánxù" and "lùxù", the author conducted research using the literature review method and the test method. The test results showed that the students did not have a good mastery of using the synonyms "liánxù" and "lùxù". Through multiple choice questions, true-false questions, and translation questions, it can be seen that students are wrong in choosing the correct vocabulary for using the word "liánxù", the error rate is 38%. Error in ordering sentences as much as 19.7%. The error of omission rate is as much as 6.7%. Meanwhile, the error in choosing the correct vocabulary in using the word "lùxù" is 44.7%. Error in ordering sentences is 27.5%. the error of omission is 11%. This may lead to students having the highest average error in using the Chinese synonym "lùxù". The reasons for student errors are negative transference from the mother tongue, generalization of target language rules, and use of communicative strategies. This shows that there are still many students who do not understand the meaning, use, and differences between "liánxù" and "lùxù".

Abstract

Three factors of Chinese language teaching are teacher, student, and teaching materials. Teaching materials are a crucial part of Chinese part of language learning. Some Chinese books published by Chinese publisher, some from indonesia, and others are written by teachers. For a deeper understanding of the utilization of Chinese Teaching Materials at Junior High School at Pontianak, the author conducted interviews with 13 schools. Then, combined with the specific use of Chinese Teaching Materials in Pontianak Junior High Schools, a statistical analisys divided into three points: 1. Analysis of the use of teaching materials from China, 2. Analysis of the use of teaching materials from Indonesia, 3. Analysis of teaching materials written by teachers. The results showed that the Teaching Materials from China used in Pontianak Junior High School were "Hanyu", "Zhongwen" dan "HSK", Teaching Materials from Indonesian are "Zhineng Hanyu", "Chunhui", dan "You Zhongwen Goutong", and Teaching Materials written by teacher "Gen Wo Xuexi Hanyu" Modul Bahasa Tionghoa" and "Hanyu Keben". These proved that most Pontianak Junior High Schools use Chinese Teaching Materials, and most Pontianak Junior High Schools the similiar teaching materials namely "Hanyu". The reasons why the teachers chose "Hanyu" are all the same. All teachers indicated that this set of teaching Materials is easier for stuents to understand. The advantage of "Hanyu" is the vocabularies, because those vocabularies often used in daily life. All teachers indicated that "Hanyu" teaching materials can improve students Chinese proficiency

Abstract

Reading class is an crucial component of Chinese language education, and many individuals, particulary non-Chinese students lacking a foundation in the language, find it challeging due to the difficulties encountered during the learning process. To identify the reasons for these challenges, the author conducted a research study among non-Chinese students majoring in Chinese language educatin at the School of Teacher Education, Tanjung Pura University in 2020 and 2021. The purpose of this research was to gain insight into why nonChinese students in the 2020 and 2021 cohorts of the Teacher Education College at Tanjung Pura University faced difficulties in their reading courses and to learn strategies to overcome these challenges. This study employed quantitative data analysis methods, utilizing a questionnaire survey and test question. Based on the finding of this research, the author concluded that the primary difficulties in comprehending Chinese reading texts stem from challenges in understanding the meanings of new words, a lack of foundational knowledge, complex grammar, and difficulty in grasping the content of the readings. The results of this study demonstrate that the reading comprehension skills of non-Chinese students in the 2020 and 2021 Chinese language programs remain underdeveloped, emphasizing the need for continued improvement in their ability to comprehend Chinese texts
