Abstract

Children with autism have difficulties in social interaction, lack of communication, and repetitive behavior. Thoseconditions make parents come to grips with several drawbacks in taking care of their autistic children. Thepurpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the severity level of autism and the unconditionallove of parents, moderated by religiosity and social support. This study was using a quantitative approach withstructural equation model (SEM) analysis. Participants in this study were 200 parents of children with AutismSpectrum Disorder (ASD) aged 2-17 years old and were selected by the non-probability sampling technique. Themeasurements applied in this study were unconditional love scale, taken from Porter Parent Acceptance scale,which consists of four items (α = .802; AVE = .628), social support scale, which consists of three items (α = .703;AVE= .628), Brief Multidimensional Measure of Religiousness/Spirituality, which consists of ten items (α =.952; AVE= .699), and Childhood Autism Rating Scale, which consists of four items (α = .756; AVE= .574). Theresult indicated that the unconditional love of parents was significantly affected by severity level of autism, b = -.162; t(196) = 2.849, p = .005; religiosity, b = .534; t(196) = 7.101, p = .000; and social support, b = .157; t(196)= 2.426, p = .016. Religiosity was proven to be essential in moderating the relationship of severity level of autismand unconditional love, b = .249; t(196) = 3.262, p = .001); while social support was not, b = -.020; t(196) = .293,p = .770. Religiosity could help maintain the unconditional love of parents for their autistic children, while socialsupport was not enough to buffer stress caused by them. Thus, parents of children with autism are urged toincrease their level of religiosity

Abstract

Seeing the number of Children Against the Law (ABH) in Indonesia and the importance of optimism for the future of ABH, this study aims to examine the effect of social support on the future optimism of Children Against the Law in Jabodetabek. The research method used was quantitative, involving 176 Children Against the Law (ABH) categorized as perpetrators in Jabodetabek selected through non-probability sampling techniques, specifically purposive sampling. The questionnaire used contains modifications of the Life Orientation Test-Revised (LOT-R) measuring instrument and instruments compiled by researchers based on the theory of Sarafino and Smith (2011). Test the validity of each questionnaire item using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), while Multiple Regression Analysis tests the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable. The results showed that ABH's future optimism was significantly influenced by social support by 43.4%. However, based on hypothesis testing regarding the significance of each independent variable regression coefficient, only two social support variables significantly influenced optimism, namely emotional support (sig. 0.029 < 0.05) and information support (sig. 0.00 < 0.05). In contrast, instrumental support and friendship did not significantly influence optimism. The results of this study can be used as a basis for creating programs aimed at increasing ABH's future optimism.

Abstract

Temuan sebelumnya memperlihatkan cukup banyak mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi yang mengalami masalah kesehatan mental, padahal mereka diharapkan dapat mengatasi masalah kesehatan mental. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji faktor yang mempengaruhi Kesehatan Mental mahasiswa Psikologi. Peneliti menguji variabel dukungan sosial dan coping stress sebagai prediktor kesehatan mental pada mahasiswa psikologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yang melibatkan 254 mahasiswa psikologi di salah satu universitas di Jakarta yang diambil dengan teknik non-probability sampling, yakni purposive sampling. Kuesioner dalam penelitian ini merupakan modifikasi dari alat ukur Mental Health Continuum-Short Form (MHC-SF) dan Responses to Stress Questionnaire (RSQ). Analisis faktor konfirmatori (CFA) digunakan untuk menguji validitas dan regresi berganda digunakan untuk uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial dan coping stres berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap terhadap kesehatan mental pada mahasiswa psikologi (r2=25.5%, p=.000). Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis yang menguji pengaruh masing-masing dimensi, terdapat tiga independent variable (IV) yang memiliki pengaruh signifikan pada kesehatan mental, yaitu dimensi dukungan emosional dari variabel dukungan sosial serta dimensi primary control engagement dan secondary control engagement dari variabel coping stress. Implikasinya disarankan untuk mencari dukungan emosi yang tepat dan menggunakan strategi koping primary dan secondary coping engagement.

Abstract

Social support can be a way to foster academic excellence through academic adjustment. To understand how empirically social support can be an antecedent of terrific academic adjustment, we need to test the validity of the scale measuring social support. Sample in this study was taken from population of graduate students at University of Pamulang and Uin Syarif Hidayatullah, with a total of 402 respondents. Confirmatory factor analysis and multiple linear regression were conducted to examine social support scale validity and its role as an antecedent of academic adjustment. Multidimensional model of social support is fit with several modifications to the model with RMSEA = 0.043 and 10 items are valid to measure social support. Social support significantly predicts academic adjustment with R2 = 0.039. One of three dimensions of social support, namely family support, significantly predicts positive academic adjustment which indicates the importance of family presence for graduate students.

Abstract

Kesejahteraan psikologis adalah kondisi dimana individu mampu menerima kelebihan dan kekurangannya, memiliki tujuan hidup, mempunyai relasi positif, mandiri, dan tetap bertumbuh secara personal. Tujuan dari scoping review ini untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kesejahteraan psikologis. Metode yang digunakan yaitu scoping review. Artikel yang direview berkisar tahun 2020-2024 yang ditelusuri melalui database Science Direct, PubMed, dan Google scholar dengan menggunakan metode PRISMA. Berdasarkan 15 artikel penelitian yang ditinjau diketahui bahwa kesejahteraan psikologis dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor. Faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kesejahteraan psikologis adalah resiliensi, optimis, dukungan sosial, stress, stress akademik, kebersyukuran, religiusitas, regulasi emosi, konsep diri, regulasi diri, self-diclosure, berpikir positif, dan ketahanan akademik. Implikasi penelitian ini dapat menjadi acuan untuk penelitian selanjutnya dalam menentukan variabel independen yang mempengaruhi kesejahteraan psikologis.

Abstract

Sekolah yang belum menerima siswa berkebutuhan khusus, berpotensi mempengaruhi perkembangan proses belajar mereka di sekolah inklusi. Bentuk hubungan dengan teman sebaya adalah penerimaan individu di dalam kelompok teman sebayanya (peer accepatance). Maka, perlunya metode psikoedukasi untuk memberikan pengetahuan keistimewaan siswa berkebutuhan khusus sehingga meningkatkan peer acceptance siswa terhadap siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi yang bersekolah di SD Negeri 05 Kembangan Jakarta Barat. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah nonprobability sampling dengan teknik convenience sampling. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian sebanyak 78 siswa, yang terdiri dari kelas 2, 3, 4, 5, dan 6, namun yang mengikuti hingga tuntas (mengikuti kegiatan penelitian sampai post test) sebanyak 69 orang. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh dari psikoedukasi dengan tema Temanku Istimewa terhadap peer acceptance siswa reguler di sekolah Inklusi. Penelitian ini membandingkan rata-rata peer acceptance sebelum dan sesudah perlakukan. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa psikoedukasi temanku istimewa secara signifikan efektif meningkatkan peer acceptance siswa regular terhadap siswa berkebutuhan khusus dengan down syndrome, autis, dan tuna rungu. Namun, siswa yang mengalami lambat belajar psikoedukasi temanku istimewa menunjukkan peningkatan peer acceptance siswa regular, tetapi perubahannya tidak signifikan. Hasil analisis menggunakan MANOVA terlihat bahwa tingkat kelas dan jenis kelamin tidak mempengaruhi peer acceptance. Tingkat kelas hanya berpengaruh pada post-test peer acceptance terhadap tunarungu (p=0.04 kurang dari 0.05). Abstract. Schools that have not accepted students with special needs have the potential to affect the development of their learning process in inclusive schools. The form of relationship with peers is the acceptance of the individual in the peer group (peer acceleration). So, the need for psychoeducation methods to provide knowledge of the privileges of students with special needs so as to increase student peer acceptance of students with special needs. The population in this study were students who attended SD Negeri 05 Kembangan, West Jakarta. The sampling technique used was nonprobability sampling with a convenience sampling technique. The sample used in the study was 78 students, consisting of levels 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, but those who followed it to completion (following research activities to post-test) were 69 people. This study aims to determine the effect of psychoeducation with the theme “Temanku Istimewa” on peer acceptance of regular students in inclusive schools. This study compares the average peer acceptance before and after treatment. The results showed that the Psychoeducation theme “Temanku Istimewa” was significantly effective in increasing peer acceptance of regular students towards students with special needs with Down syndrome, autism, and hearing impairment. However, students who experienced slow learning about “Temanku Istimewa” psychoeducation showed an increase in peer acceptance of regular students, but the change was not significant. The analysis using MANOVA shows that class level and gender do not affect peer acceptance. The class level only affects post-test peer acceptance for deaf people (p = 0.04 less than 0.05).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji validitas konstruk dari instrumen iklim sekolah yang diadaptasi dari Fisher dkk. (2020) menggunakan metode Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Instrumen ini mengukur tiga dimensi iklim sekolah: keterhubungan sekolah (school connectedness), keamanan sekolah (school safety), dan hubungan antar teman (peer relationships). Data dikumpulkan dari 875 siswa Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) di Kota dan Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa model second-order memiliki kecocokan yang baik (RMSEA = 0,049, CFI = 0,953, TLI = 0,941) dan semua item valid dengan muatan faktor yang signifikan (nilai-t > 1,96). Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa instrumen yang diadaptasi adalah ukuran yang andal dan valid untuk mengukur school climate dalam konteks pendidikan di Indonesia khususnya Madrasah Aliyah.

Abstract

Academic buoyancy is the capability to handle and effectively manage daily difficulties and challenges. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the role of positive youth development in mediating the relationship between intentional self-regulation, schools climate, and academic buoyancy. A quantitative method with a cross-sectional design was used, the respondents were 875 students from Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) in Tasikmalaya City, and path analysis was conducted with Mplus 8.4 software. The results showed that positive youth development mediated the relationship between intentional self-reguation, schools climate, and academic buoyancy. Furthermore, the study recommended that schools need to provide programs to facilitate positive youth development. This can be achieved through the development of positive climate and improvement of students' intentional self-reguation ability.

Abstract

Understanding character strengths in adolescents with Down Syndrome (DS) can help identify positive aspects and develop intervention programs so that they have a better quality of life. This study aims to examine the influence of parental religiosity on the character strength of adolescents with DS which is mediated by strength-based parenting (SBP). The participants in this research consisted of 70 parents of teenagers with Down syndrome in Jakarta and the surrounding area, who were obtained through purposive sampling. Research variables were measured by adapting and modifying the Values in Action Inventory of Strength (VIA-IS), Brief Multidimensional Measurement of Religiousness/Spirituality (BMMR/S), and Strength-based Parenting (SBP) scale. Data analysis was carried out using regression-based mediation analysis via the PROCESS syntax in IBM SPSS. The results showed that SBP could significantly mediate the influence of parental religiosity on the character strength of adolescents with DS (indirect effect =.4916; 95% CI=(.265; .8042)). The implication of this research is that parents of adolescents with DS are advised to increase their religiosity and use SBP so that the character strengths of adolescents with DS develop optimally.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan pengaruh qanaah, dimensi spiritualitas yang jarang diteliti namun sangat bermanfaat, terhadap penyesuaian akademik mahasiswa magister lintas disiplin ilmu (mahasiswa yang mengambil bidang studi yang berbeda dengan latar belakang pendidikan mereka). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel nonprobabilitas. Partisipan penelitian ini terdiri dari 201 mahasiswa magister lintas disiplin ilmu di UIN Syarif Hidayatullah di Jakarta, Indonesia. Variabel penelitian diukur dengan mengadaptasi Academic Adjustment Scale (AAS) dengan Cronbach's alpha sebesar 0.752, dan Skala Qanaah dengan Cronbach's alpha sebesar 0.872. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara qanaah dengan penyesuaian akademik dengan koefisien (r) sebesar 0,478. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa qanaah berpengaruh terhadap penyesuaian akademik dengan R Square sebesar 22,8%. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menyarankan untuk meningkatkan qanaah dalam diri setiap mahasiswa untuk mencapai penyesuaian akademik yang baik.
