Abstract

This research aims to develop MPI Google Slides based Pear Deck to increase the motivation and learning outcomes of class VI students at SDN Muneng Leres II on the material Important Events Leading Up to the Proclamation of Indonesian Independence. The method used is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) developed by Reiser and Mollenda. The subjects in this research were all class VI students at SDN Muneng Leres II for the 2024/2025 academic year, totaling 20 people, consisting of 11 male students and 9 female students. They also become test subjects in media development which is carried out through the stages of validation, implementation and evaluation of media effectiveness. Preliminary data obtained from diagnostic tests showed that only 35% of the 20 students had achieved an adequate level of understanding of the material, while the other 65% had not met the Learning Goal Achievement Criteria (KKTP). The research results show that the use of the developed MPI significantly increases students' understanding and learning motivation. Even though the correlation between pre-test and Post-test scores was weak, there was a significant increase in learning scores after the media intervention was implemented. Apart from cognitive improvements, students also show affective developments, such as increased interest, active involvement, self-confidence, and satisfaction in the learning process. This interactive media has proven effective in presenting historical material in an interesting, contextual and participatory manner. Thus, the development of MPI Google Slides based Pear Deck very relevant for enriching students' learning experiences in a comprehensive and meaningful way in social studies learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

The pervasive use of digital devices among elementary school students has given rise to emerging digital phenomena such as Nomophobia, Phubbing, and Fear of Missing Out (FoMO), which are presumed to influence children’s social intelligence. This study aims to examine the impact of these three variables on the social intelligence of upper-grade students at SDN Kanigaran 1, Probolinggo. Employing a quantitative explanatory causal approach, data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire from a purposive sample of 172 students in grades IV to VI. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression via SPSS version 31. Findings reveal that Nomophobia, Phubbing, and FoMO collectively exert a statistically significant effect on social intelligence. Partially, Phubbing and FoMO showed significant effects, whereas Nomophobia did not. These results suggest that emotional dependency on digital devices does not inherently hinder children’s social intelligence, particularly when external regulation by teachers and parents remains strong. Conversely, Phubbing the tendency to ignore real-life interactions in favor of device use and FoMO, characterized by anxiety over missing digital content, were found to detrimentally affect students’ capacity for social engagement. This study underscores the urgent need for digital literacy education and the early cultivation of social skills to ensure a balanced development between digital interaction and authentic social experience.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of utilizing Google Sites on students’ self-regulated learning (SRL) abilities within Integrated Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) instruction, with learning motivation acting as a mediating variable. The research is grounded in the urgent need for educational transformation toward interactive, technology driven learning that cultivates learner autonomy in the context of 21st century education. Employing a quantitative descriptive approach through a case study design, the research involved 100 upper-grade students from SDN Jrebeng Kulon 1, Probolinggo City. Data were gathered using structured questionnaires and analyzed using path analysis to determine both direct and indirect effects among the studied variables. Findings reveal that the integration of Google Sites exerts a positive and statistically significant influence on students’ self-regulated learning, with an R Square value of 0.289, indicating that 28.9% of the variance in SRL is jointly explained by Google Sites usage and learning motivation. Moreover, learning motivation functions as a mediating factor that strengthens this relationship. These results align with Zimmerman’s (2023) Self Regulated Learning Theory and Deci & Ryan’s (2000) Self-Determination Theory, which emphasize autonomy, competence, and social relatedness. Theoretically, the study reinforces the pedagogical potential of digital technology integration in stimulating cognitive, affective, and metacognitive domains. Practically, it recommends that educators employ Google Sites not merely as a content delivery platform but as a transformative medium to cultivate adaptive, technology-based learner autonomy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Problem Based Learning (PBL), audiovisual media, and school environment on students' learning motivation in Social Studies (IPS) at SDN Bantaran 1. Specifically, it investigates the partial and simultaneous effects of the three independent variables on students' learning motivation. The research employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The population consisted of all fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students at SDN Bantaran 1, totaling 77 students, who were also used as the research sample (saturated sampling). Data collection was conducted using a Likert-scale questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression, including t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination (R²), with the assistance of SPSS software. The results showed that only the school environment variable had a significant positive effect on learning motivation (Sig. = 0.002 < 0.05). In contrast, Problem Based Learning and audiovisual media did not show a significant partial effect. However, all three variables together had a significant simultaneous effect on learning motivation (F = 9.045, Sig. = 0.000). The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.271, indicating that 27.1% of the variation in learning motivation could be explained by the three independent variables. These findings suggest that the school environment plays a more dominant role in shaping students' learning motivation, compared to the applied learning model and media used .

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has significantly affected Indonesia’s economic growth, including the performance of food and beverage companies operating in the food and drink industry. This study aims to examine the effect of profitability and liquidity on stock prices, with inflation serving as a moderating variable. The research sample consists of 10 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020–2022 period, selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) approach. The results indicate that profitability has a significant positive effect on stock prices, while liquidity does not have a meaningful impact. Furthermore, inflation is proven to moderate the relationship between independent variables and stock prices, though its moderating effect varies for each variable. These findings provide valuable insights for investors in formulating investment strategies and for companies in designing financial policies to enhance firm value. Additionally, this research contributes to the understanding of how macroeconomic factors, such as inflation, interact with company financial performance in influencing stock market dynamics in the post-pandemic recovery period.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the SCL model and Mind Mapping learning media on student learning outcomes in the IPAS subject through learning motivation. The background of this research is based on the low student achievement at MI Mambaul Ulum Karangduren, which is caused by limited learning independency and low motivation. The SCL model is considered capable of encouraging student activeness and independency during the learning process, while Mind Mapping, as a visual learning medium, is expected to enhance concept understanding and learning interest. This study employed a quantitative approach. The population in this study was 75 fourth-grade students at MI Mambaul Ulum Karangduren for the 2024/2025 academic year, with a sample of 35 students. The data analysis technique used in this research included classical assumption testing, and hypothesis testing using path analysis to determine direct, indirect, and total effects among the variables. The results showed that both the SCL model and Mind Mapping media had a significant influence on learning motivation, which in turn affected the learning outcomes. Furthermore, there was an indirect effect of the SCL model on learning outcomes through motivation, but no indirect effect was found for the Mind Mapping media through motivation. Therefore, there is a total effect of the SCL model and Mind Mapping media on learning outcomes through learning motivation. These findings confirm that the combination of a student-centered learning model and engaging visual media can effectively improve student motivation and academic performance. However, this study is limited by its specific geographical scope at a single institution and does not measure the long-term effectiveness of these models beyond the current academic term.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of multisensory integration through the Cross-Modal Sensory Integration model on the retention and learning motivation of elementary school students. The study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental type and a non-equivalent control group design. The study subjects consisted of 54 elementary school grade V students who were divided into experimental groups and control groups. The experimental group obtained IPAS learning using the Cross-Modal Sensory Integration model, while the control group used conventional learning. Data were collected through learning retention tests and learning motivation questionnaires, then analyzed using descriptive statistics and independent sample t-test. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in the retention and motivation variables of learning with a significance value of p 0.05. Students who participated in learning with the Cross-Modal Sensory Integration model had higher long-term retention abilities and learning motivation than students who participated in conventional learning. These findings show that multisensory integration through the Cross-Modal Sensory Integration model is effectively applied in social studies learning to improve the quality of the learning process and outcomes of elementary school students.

Abstract

Learning independence is a crucial aspect of the human resource development process in education. This study aims to explore the influence of the recitation method, learning motivation, and time management on the learning independence of students in economic subjects at MAN Kota Pasuruan. Using an explanatory research design with a quantitative approach, data were collected from 165 tenth-grade students selected through proportional random sampling. Data collection utilized Likert-scale questionnaires validated for reliability and validity. Multiple linear regression analysis was employed to test the hypotheses. The results of the simultaneous test (F-test) showed a significant influence of all three independent variables on learning independence (p < 0.001). Individually, the t-test results revealed that time management has the most dominant positive influence (coefficient 0.374), followed by the recitation method (0.289) and learning motivation (0.274). The R-square value of 0.620 indicates that these variables collectively explain 62% of the variance in student independence. These findings underscore the importance of integrating structured assignments, psychological encouragement, and time-management skills to foster independent learners.
