Abstract

The pervasive use of digital devices among elementary school students has given rise to emerging digital phenomena such as Nomophobia, Phubbing, and Fear of Missing Out (FoMO), which are presumed to influence children’s social intelligence. This study aims to examine the impact of these three variables on the social intelligence of upper-grade students at SDN Kanigaran 1, Probolinggo. Employing a quantitative explanatory causal approach, data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire from a purposive sample of 172 students in grades IV to VI. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression via SPSS version 31. Findings reveal that Nomophobia, Phubbing, and FoMO collectively exert a statistically significant effect on social intelligence. Partially, Phubbing and FoMO showed significant effects, whereas Nomophobia did not. These results suggest that emotional dependency on digital devices does not inherently hinder children’s social intelligence, particularly when external regulation by teachers and parents remains strong. Conversely, Phubbing the tendency to ignore real-life interactions in favor of device use and FoMO, characterized by anxiety over missing digital content, were found to detrimentally affect students’ capacity for social engagement. This study underscores the urgent need for digital literacy education and the early cultivation of social skills to ensure a balanced development between digital interaction and authentic social experience.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of utilizing Google Sites on students’ self-regulated learning (SRL) abilities within Integrated Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) instruction, with learning motivation acting as a mediating variable. The research is grounded in the urgent need for educational transformation toward interactive, technology driven learning that cultivates learner autonomy in the context of 21st century education. Employing a quantitative descriptive approach through a case study design, the research involved 100 upper-grade students from SDN Jrebeng Kulon 1, Probolinggo City. Data were gathered using structured questionnaires and analyzed using path analysis to determine both direct and indirect effects among the studied variables. Findings reveal that the integration of Google Sites exerts a positive and statistically significant influence on students’ self-regulated learning, with an R Square value of 0.289, indicating that 28.9% of the variance in SRL is jointly explained by Google Sites usage and learning motivation. Moreover, learning motivation functions as a mediating factor that strengthens this relationship. These results align with Zimmerman’s (2023) Self Regulated Learning Theory and Deci & Ryan’s (2000) Self-Determination Theory, which emphasize autonomy, competence, and social relatedness. Theoretically, the study reinforces the pedagogical potential of digital technology integration in stimulating cognitive, affective, and metacognitive domains. Practically, it recommends that educators employ Google Sites not merely as a content delivery platform but as a transformative medium to cultivate adaptive, technology-based learner autonomy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Problem Based Learning (PBL), audiovisual media, and school environment on students' learning motivation in Social Studies (IPS) at SDN Bantaran 1. Specifically, it investigates the partial and simultaneous effects of the three independent variables on students' learning motivation. The research employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The population consisted of all fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students at SDN Bantaran 1, totaling 77 students, who were also used as the research sample (saturated sampling). Data collection was conducted using a Likert-scale questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression, including t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination (R²), with the assistance of SPSS software. The results showed that only the school environment variable had a significant positive effect on learning motivation (Sig. = 0.002 < 0.05). In contrast, Problem Based Learning and audiovisual media did not show a significant partial effect. However, all three variables together had a significant simultaneous effect on learning motivation (F = 9.045, Sig. = 0.000). The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.271, indicating that 27.1% of the variation in learning motivation could be explained by the three independent variables. These findings suggest that the school environment plays a more dominant role in shaping students' learning motivation, compared to the applied learning model and media used .

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has significantly affected Indonesia’s economic growth, including the performance of food and beverage companies operating in the food and drink industry. This study aims to examine the effect of profitability and liquidity on stock prices, with inflation serving as a moderating variable. The research sample consists of 10 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020–2022 period, selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) approach. The results indicate that profitability has a significant positive effect on stock prices, while liquidity does not have a meaningful impact. Furthermore, inflation is proven to moderate the relationship between independent variables and stock prices, though its moderating effect varies for each variable. These findings provide valuable insights for investors in formulating investment strategies and for companies in designing financial policies to enhance firm value. Additionally, this research contributes to the understanding of how macroeconomic factors, such as inflation, interact with company financial performance in influencing stock market dynamics in the post-pandemic recovery period.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the SCL model and Mind Mapping learning media on student learning outcomes in the IPAS subject through learning motivation. The background of this research is based on the low student achievement at MI Mambaul Ulum Karangduren, which is caused by limited learning independency and low motivation. The SCL model is considered capable of encouraging student activeness and independency during the learning process, while Mind Mapping, as a visual learning medium, is expected to enhance concept understanding and learning interest. This study employed a quantitative approach. The population in this study was 75 fourth-grade students at MI Mambaul Ulum Karangduren for the 2024/2025 academic year, with a sample of 35 students. The data analysis technique used in this research included classical assumption testing, and hypothesis testing using path analysis to determine direct, indirect, and total effects among the variables. The results showed that both the SCL model and Mind Mapping media had a significant influence on learning motivation, which in turn affected the learning outcomes. Furthermore, there was an indirect effect of the SCL model on learning outcomes through motivation, but no indirect effect was found for the Mind Mapping media through motivation. Therefore, there is a total effect of the SCL model and Mind Mapping media on learning outcomes through learning motivation. These findings confirm that the combination of a student-centered learning model and engaging visual media can effectively improve student motivation and academic performance. However, this study is limited by its specific geographical scope at a single institution and does not measure the long-term effectiveness of these models beyond the current academic term.

Abstract

Asy-Q mineral water is a business in Islamic boarding schools that produces water to meet the needs of 2900 students spread across 6 Islamic boarding schools and 4 schools within the Asy-Syadzli Pakis Education and Social Foundation Malang. Asy-Q's Mineral Water business has not developed optimally and has not been able to produce to serve the needs of the community outside the pesantren, because it does not yet have a business license. Besides that, there is no standard guide to carry out the management process so this business does not yet have Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to minimize errors. The community service method uses a participatory approach through coaching and mentoring activities in the preparation of business soups for effective and efficient start-ups. The activity consists of three stages, namely 1) Socialization of the importance of SOP availability; 2) SOP preparation training, and 3) Assistance in formulating effective and efficient SOP strategies that are monitored by business leaders independently and continuously. The results of this community service are to create designs and production SOP guidelines that will be used to support business activities in the form of warehouse SOPs, and distribution SOPs which are the biggest obstacles in business.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of deep learning instruction on elementary school students’ learning experience and critical thinking skills, addressing the need for instructional approaches that promote meaningful learning and higher-order thinking. The research employed a quantitative approach using a Quasi-Experimental Nonequivalent Control Group Design involving fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Kedungdalem II, Probolinggo Regency, during the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. The sample consisted of 56 students, with 28 students assigned to the experimental group and 28 students to the control group. The experimental group received deep learning instruction implemented through four stages: concept exploration, analysis and meaning-making, deep reflection, and application of concepts in real-life contexts, while the control group experienced conventional instruction. Data were collected using a learning experience questionnaire and a critical thinking skills test, both of which met validity and reliability criteria. The results showed that the experimental group achieved higher mean scores in learning experience (M = 83.45) and critical thinking skills (M = 78.62) compared to the control group (M = 74.18 and M = 69.07, respectively). Independent Samples t-test results indicated statistically significant differences between the two groups (p < 0.05). These findings demonstrate that deep learning instruction is effective in enhancing meaningful learning experiences and students’ critical thinking skills in elementary education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of coding instruction on improving digital literacy and critical thinking skills among elementary school students. The background of this study is based on the low levels of students’ digital literacy and critical thinking skills, as well as the need for learning approaches that can develop 21st-century competencies in a contextual and meaningful manner. This study employed a quasi-experimental approach using a pretest–posttest control group design. The research subjects consisted of two groups: an experimental group that received interactive activity-based coding instruction and a control group that received conventional instruction. The research instruments included a digital literacy test and a critical thinking test, both of which had undergone validity and reliability testing. Data analysis was conducted using normality tests, homogeneity tests, independent samples t-tests, paired samples t-tests, N-Gain analysis, and effect size calculations (Cohen’s d). The results showed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups in posttest scores for digital literacy and critical thinking skills. The improvement in students’ abilities in the experimental group was categorized as moderate based on N-Gain values, while the control group showed low improvement. In addition, the effect size indicated a very large impact of coding instruction on students’ digital literacy and critical thinking skills. These findings demonstrate that coding instruction is effective in enhancing elementary school students’ digital literacy and critical thinking skills and can serve as an alternative learning strategy to support the development of 21st-century competencies in primary education.
