Abstract

Learning is a process that requires a dialogical relationship between educators and students. In delivering learning materials, appropriate methods are needed to transfer knowledge from teacher to students. Learning methods can be interpreted as the methods used to implement plans that have been prepared on the practical activities to achieve learning objectives. Choosing a learning method that suits the characteristics of students can make it easier for educators to deliver the learning materials. The lecture method is a classical method that is frequently used in various learning. This method uses verbal explanations carried out by educators directly in front of students at the front of the class. This research, which uses the qualitative case study design, aims to determine the implementation of the lecture method in 3rd class students on learning fiqh at Tuban Islamic Elementary School.

Abstract

The ability to think critically and creatively is one of the priority abilities that the millennial generation must have in the 21st century. Efforts to improve students' critical and creative thinking abilities have been found through various learning approaches and models. However, before choosing the right type of approach and learning model in science learning, teachers are required to carry out initial mapping of students' critical and creative thinking abilities so that the chosen learning approach and model is more optimal and efficient. This research aims to describe the level of critical and creative thinking abilities of fourth grade students in science learning at MINU Hidayatun Najah Tuban with a total of 32 students as participants. The research design used is quantitative, survey-based on data that has been collected through test sheet and documentation methods. As a result, even though science learning for grade IV students at MINU Hidayatun Najah Tuban has used student-centered learning, the students' critical thinking abilities are still in the low category. On the other hand, students' creative thinking abilities are considered to be good. Thus, not all learning approaches and models are suitable for improving students' critical and creative thinking abilities, especially in science learning. For this reason, before implementing certain learning approaches and models in science learning, it is recommended to measure students' initial abilities that will be developed so that teachers can choose learning approaches and models according to their needs.

Abstract

The problem of this research is based on such as students who are less active in questioning with the teacher, and students have not been facilitated to carry out various activities such as experimental tools or various experiments, and also the media still does not attract the attention and enthusiasm of students in learning in class. The aims of this study were (1) to describe the application of a guided inquiry model with multimedia to improve science learning outcomes for fifth-grade students at MI Kelopo Telu Tuban (2) to describe science learning outcomes for fifth-grade students at MI Kelopo Telu Tuban (3) to describe improving science learning outcomes in the application of guided inquiry model with multimedia in class V MI Kelopo Telu Tuban. The type of research used is collaborative classroom action research which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects in this study were students V MI Kelopo Telu Tuban, totaling 15 students. The data used are quantitative in the form of evaluation test results and qualitative data in the form of observations and interview sheets to students regarding the application of guided inquiry models with multimedia. Data collection techniques used are test and non-test techniques, namely observation, and interviews. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. From the results of research on student learning outcomes, each cycle experienced an increase in the application of guided inquiry learning science with this multimedia model. in the first cycle, the average is 77.33, and the completeness is 66.66%, while in the second cycle the average is 82.26 and the completeness is 93.33%. It can be said that classical completeness has been fulfilled because it has reached 75%. Thus, the conclusion of this study is that the application of the guided inquiry model with multimedia can improve learning outcomes in class V MI Kelopo Telu Tuban students.

Abstract

Berdasarkan pada masalah yang ditemukan, pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan guru MI Tarbiyatul Athfal II Lamongan dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran digital dan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran digital. Metode pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini yaitu dengan mengumpulkan data dan menganalisi secara menyeluruh terkait kemampuan guru dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran digital, kemudian memberikan pelatihan secara langsung kepada guru dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran digital. Strategi yang digunakan yaitu dengan memberikan pelatihan penggunaan media digitalkepada guru khsususnya aplikasi mindjet, flipbook, dan quiz creator. Hasil dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini disimpulkan bahwa Media pembelajaran berbasis digital telah banyak dimanfaatkan oleh guru MI Tarbiyatul Athfal II Lamongan dan memberikan dampak positif terhadap proses pembelajaran. Namun, ada tantangan yang memerlukan perhatian, seperti infrastruktur dan kompetensi guru.

Abstract

The problem that is the background to this research is that there are students who still have difficulties learning mathematics. Apart from the high level of difficulty in learning mathematics, the teacher's method of delivery, which is considered monotonous, also makes students lazy about learning mathematics and results in most of them having low grades in this subject. This research is to see the validity of developing holistic counting box learning media to improve students' cognitive abilities. (2) To produce practical development of holistic counting box learning media to improve students' cognitive abilities. (3) To produce effective development of holistic counting box learning media to improve students' cognitive abilities. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method, which uses the 4-D development model. The 4-D development model includes 4 stages, namely definition, planning or design, development, and dissemination. Based on the validity test, the media meets the very valid category. Validation of the appropriateness of media expert data received a score of 96%. Validation of material expert eligibility with a score percentage of 97.5%. The level of practicality of the media obtained results with a percentage of 91%, the teacher's response to the media developed by the researcher with a percentage result of 95.5%, and the response of students to the media developed by the researcher with a percentage result of 97%, with each questionnaire result in very high criteria. Good. Student learning outcomes increased after being calculated using the gain normality test, with an average pretest score of 62.5 while the average posttest score was 89 and the average gain normality test calculation was 0.75 in the high category. The results of this research and development can be concluded that the holistic mathematics counting box learning medium is included in the valid, practical, and effective category for use in mathematics learning to improve students' cognitive abilities.

Abstract

The current generation cannot be separated from the use of technology in their daily routines. Several research results show that excessive use of smartphones can have various impacts on health. However, some of them also prove that there is no relationship between a person's nutritional status and the smartphone usage intensity. This research aims to explore the random effect size of smartphone usage intensity on the nutritional status of Indonesian students in terms of educational level using sample of 1679 students. The research design uses meta-analysis. Data sources were taken from 16 Local indonesian studies published in the last six years with filters used including: Correlational research, accessed from Google Scholar, research subjects were students at primary/junior/high school/university levels. The research results showed that there was a significant random effect size correlation between the smartphone usage intensity and nutritional status which was categorized as low effect size (r=0.181; p-value <0.001). This proves that the smartphone usage intensity is very weakly correlated with students' nutritional status. Thus, the higher educational level, also has higher level of significance about the correlation between smartphone usage intensity and the student's nutritional status. We hope that these results can help us understand that smartphone use must be done wisely and according to needs.

Abstract

Internalisasi jiwa kewirausahaan sejak dini menjadi sangat penting untuk membentuk karakter siswa yang kreatif, inovatif, dan mandiri. Kegiatan "Create Your Own Business" merupakan salah satu pendekatan inovatif untuk menumbuhkembangkan potensi kewirausahaan siswa secara komprehensif. Metode pelaksanaan pada kegiatan  pengabdian  kepada  masyarakat  ini  terdiri  dari beberapa tahapan perumusan masalah, penentuan solusi, metode penyelesaian evaluasi kegiatan dan output. Kegiatan penyuluhan yang diadakan di MI Sunan Drajat Bektiharjo Semanding Tuban diikuti oleh 33 siswa dan bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan konsep dasar kewirausahaan, memberikan pemahaman tentang langkah-langkah memulai usaha kecil, serta melakukan evaluasi untuk mengukur pemahaman siswa setelah kegiatan berlangsung. Siswa menunjukkan pemahaman yang baik tentang pengertian dasar kewirausahaan, di mana setelah sesi pengantar, 85% dari mereka mampu menjelaskan secara singkat apa itu kewirausahaan dan menyebutkan ciri-ciri seorang wirausahawan. Diskusi kelompok yang dilakukan membantu siswa dalam berbagi ide dan memperoleh perspektif yang lebih luas. Hasilnya, 78% siswa berhasil membuat rencana usaha sederhana yang mencakup ide produk, target pasar, dan strategi penjualannya. Terdapat 90% siswa merasa lebih percaya diri untuk mencoba berwirausaha di masa depan. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan penelitian, terdapat beberapa kesimpulan sebagai berikut: (1) Program kewirausahaan “Create Your Own Business” di MI Sunan Drajat Bektiharjo Semanding merupakan upaya nyata dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai kewirausahaan (2) Peserta didik menunjukkan jiwa wirausaha, memahami konsep kewirausahaan, mampu mengidentifikasi peluang, serta mendapatkan pengalaman langsung dalam mengembangkan bisnis.

Abstract

Science education at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) level plays a crucial role in fostering critical thinking skills, scientific attitudes, and a fundamental understanding of scientific concepts from an early age. However, challenges such as limited facilities, diverse student characteristics, and the need to integrate Islamic values into the curriculum affect the effectiveness of science learning, particularly at MI Miftahur Rohmah Tasikharjo. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using the experimental method and the cooperative learning model STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) in improving student learning outcomes. This research employed a qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques through direct classroom observation and structured interviews with teachers and students. The data obtained were analyzed to determine the impact of implementing the experimental method and STAD model on students' conceptual understanding and active participation in science learning. The findings reveal that the experimental method enhances students’ understanding of science concepts through hands-on activities, observation, and independent conclusion drawing. This supports the constructivist theory, which emphasizes the active role of learners in constructing knowledge. Meanwhile, the application of the STAD model proved effective in improving teamwork, individual responsibility, and student motivation through group discussions and positive competition.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Sensory Geometry Card media on the cognitive abilities of children aged 5-6 years at Bina Wiyata Kepohagung Plumpang Kindergarten. The problem raised is the lack of interesting and interactive media to introduce basic geometry concepts, so that some children have difficulty distinguishing shapes such as circles, triangles, and squares. The study used a quantitative approach of one-group pretest-posttest design with a sample of 27 children. Data collection techniques used observation, written tests, and documentation. The results of the study from the average pretest value of 18.18, and after being given treatment through the application of sensory geometry card media, the average posttest value increased to 26.74 so that there was an increase of 8.56 points. The results of the t-test showed t count = 13.250> t table = 2.056 and a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, so H₀ was rejected. This means that there is a significant influence of the use of Sensory Geometry Card media on the cognitive abilities of children aged 5-6 years at Bina Wiyata Kepohagung Plumpang Kindergarten. Abstract

Bullying in the school environment is always a serious and urgent issue that must be addressed immediately because of its dangerous and far-reaching impacts. This study investigates bullying cases at MI Al-Musthofawiyah Palang Tuban. It focuses on data from students, teachers, and homeroom teachers. Information was collected through in-depth interviews and observations. The data analysis technique used in this study was the interactive analysis model by Miles & Huberman. This model involves data reduction, display, conclusion, and verification. This article explains the results of the study in more detail. The results include the forms of bullying, its causes, its impacts, ways to prevent it, and solutions for bullying cases at MI Al-Musthofawiyah Palang. Research like this needs to be done again, but on a larger scale. For example, we need to look at different types of students' backgrounds, genders, and educational levels. Also, we need to identify more cases of cyberbullying at the elementary education level. It's also very important for psychologists, health professionals, and the government to work together. The role of religious leaders and the use of social media in the digital age are also highly recommended to prevent bullying cases.
