Abstract

Action research on marine lobster farmer group in the Rumba Rumba Village of the District Kolono performed using Participatory Action Learning System which is a method of community empowerment in regional development. This activity has a purpose, namely to: help create beraitan management cultivation techniques, marketing and bookkeeping better cultivation sea lobster. The results achieved in this activity include: 1) the application of methods of cultivation lobster sea water in a better way for business productivity thereby increasing the revenue of fishermen cultivating lobster 2) management of cultivation of lobster more effectively by arranging bookkeeping cultivation of lobster so that businesses more profitable, 3 ) institutional formation of fishermen. With some methods are introduced, able to contribute to the social, ie unlock insights and ways of thinking group of fishermen to manage their business and create jobs in the village and the ability of the fishermen cultivation in entrepreneurship on their own, which in turn can improve the economics of the household and help the development of the coastal village.Keywords: Institutional, Entrepreneurship, Fishermen, Sea Lobster

Abstract

Feed is one of the key factors for the success of carp cultivation. But the price of feed on the market is quite expensive, causing farmers to reduce the amount of feed. The impact is that the amount of goldfish production is low. This study aims to determine the growth, production and economic value of carp (C. carpio Lin.) Using non-commercial artificial feed. This research was conducted in May-August 2016 at Rakawuta Village, Mowila District, South Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. The study design used was a randomized block design with 5 treatments and 3 replications. The results showed that the treatment of non-commercial artificial feed had a significant effect on absolute growth, specific growth rates, survival rates, production and some economic values. The absolute growth of individuals and the highest specific growth rate resulted in treatment B of 204.04 gr / head (4.38%) and the lowest treatment of 100% commercial feed with absolute growth of 92.80 gr / head (3.09%). The highest survival and production was produced by B at 96.67% (94.75 kg) and the lowest treatment D with survival of 92.89%, while the lowest production resulted in treatment E of 45.74 kg. The highest economic value in the form of a Cost Ratio and Payback period resulted in treatment B amounting to 6.16 with a Payback period of Rp1,894,980 and the lowest treatment E with a cost ratio of 2.97 payback period of Rp914,780. Non-commercial feed use of artificial has not fully provided important growth, production, and economic value for farmers.

Abstract

Efficient use of capital is a major activity and a very important consideration taken into account in a business because it is very determining the size of the profits that can be obtained. The purpose of this study is to analyze the advantages and the level of efficiency of capital use on BBI Abeli Sawah  Konawe district and BBI Ranomeeto South Konawe district. The research type is survey with quantitative approach which can explain the efficiency of cost utilization at BBI Abeli Sawah dan BBI Ranomeeto. The results showed that the average profit of BBI Abeli rice field was Rp 46,492,667, and BBI Ranomeeto was Rp44,030,667. Furthermore the efficiency level of capital use on BBI Abeli Sawah and BBI Ranoomeeto was still low, where each had value RC 1.24 and 1.19

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of wives in supporting fishery activities in the business of milkfish and shrimp fish cultivation in Laosu Jaya Village, Bondoala District, Konawe Regency, and Southeast Sulawesi. The populations in this study are fisherman households of milkfish and shrimp cultivators totaling 123 households. The number of samples selected is 36 households of fish and shrimp farmer’s.The results of this study indicate that the most dominant role of wife to do is to cultivate milkfish and shrimp as much as (38.89)%, crop sales (16.67%), salted fish (13.89)%, repairing the net (11.11%) and selling ice cubes, selling cakes, and making cakes 5.55% each. The high role of wife in conducting the activities of fish and shrimp culture business in Laosu Jaya Village Bondoala District Konawe Regency with the consideration that the fish nener dam and peci shrimp especially in Southeast Sulawesi is available and easy to get, that the ponds that do business is milk itself so that the sales proceeds obtained can meet the needs of household lifeThis study aims to determine the role of wives in supporting fishery activities in the business of milkfish and shrimp fish cultivation in Laosu Jaya Village, Bondoala District, Konawe Regency, and Southeast Sulawesi. Abstract

Epiphytic diatoms are phytoplankton groups commonly attached to substrates such as macroalgae. This study analyzes the community structure and diversity of epiphyte diatoms attached to Eucheuma denticulatum cultivated using the horizontal floating cage method. Six thalli of E. denticulatum propagules were taken randomly from each station. The samples were analyzed and identified in the laboratory. The research results clarified that epiphytic diatom composition consisted of 3 classes, two orders, 38 genera, and 79 species. The three classes that have been found include class Coscinodiscophyceae (10 genera) with percentages ranging between 8-34%, class Fragillaryophyceae (12 genera) with percentages ranging between 34-46%, and class Bacillariophyceae (16 genera) with percentages ranging between 26-46%. The uniformity index was 0.8287-0.9286, which is considered relatively high. The dominance species index was 0.0644-0.2055, categorized as low. Fluctuations in water's physical and chemical factors have no significant effect on the growth of diatom epiphytes in the thallus of E. denticulatum.

Abstract

Striped eel catfish (Plotosus lineatus) are fish that live in coastal waters but there are also those that live in river mouths. This study aimed to determine the growth and survival rate of striped eel catfish fingerlings at different sizes in controlled media. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments (different sizes) and three replications, so there were nine experimental containers. The treatments used were treatment A: maintenance of fingerlings size (3.5-4.0 cm); treatment B: maintenance of fingerlings size (4.9-5.6 cm); and treatment C: maintenance of fingerlings size (7.0-8.0). During maintenance, absolute length gain, relative growth rate, specific growth rate, and fingerlings survival were determined. The results showed that fingerling size had a significant effect on growth performance and survival. Fingerlings measuring 4.9-5.6 cm had the highest growth performance, while fingerlings measuring 7.0-8.0 cm showed the highest survival rate than other sizes. This indicates that the fingerlings measuring 4.9-5.6 cm and 7.0-8.0 cm are suitable for aquaculture.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Labulu-Bulu Village, Parigi District, Muna Regency from November to December 2018, with the aim of this rescardi is to study the business process of milkfish farming in Labulu-Bulu Village and assessing the value added created by the milkfish farmiy business. The number of respondents in this study were 3 business people in milkfish farmiy business obtained through purposive sampling. Data obtained through direct interviews using a questionnaire. The research variables measured and observed are the production process, costs, production quantities and prices. The data obtained were analyzed using profit analysis with the formula π = TR-TC and the added value with the formula NT = G + Pt + Pj + π. The amount of milkfish fish production per cycle was 28,700 kg; fixed costs amount is was to Rp118,313,018,9; variable costs in the amount of Rp172,105,000, with an average total cost of Rp. 96,806,006.3; the amount of milkfish business revenue is Rp.430,500,000, with an average profit of Rp.46,693,993.7 and an average added value of Rp120,806,667. The highest profit gained by the milkfish business man was Rp. 198,000,000 and the lowest profit was Rp76,500,000, while the highest added value was Rp. 167,630,000 and the lowest value added was Rp. 62,280,000. The results of the profit analysis show that the total profit value is Rp140,081,981 and the added value shows an average added value of Rp362,420,000. Keywords: Milkfish Cultivation, Benefits, Value Added

Abstract

Desa Wawobungi Kecamatan Lalonggasumeeto Kabupaten Konawe memiliki potensi perikanan tangkap yang sangat melimpah, yang belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal, karena keterbatasan teknologi alat tangkap. Alat tangkap yang umum digunakan selama ini adalah pancing, rawai, dan jaring insang, yang diperasikan menggunakan perahu bermotor, dan biaya operasionalnya kurang ekonomis bagi nelayan setempat. Hasil tangkapan yang diperoleh pun hanya cukup untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari. Sehingga diperlukan alat tangkap ikan yang sederhana namun tetap menguntungkan bagi nelayan. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, diperlukan solusi melalui program pengabdian kepada masyarakat, dengan memberikan bimbingan teknis pembuatan alat tangkap sero kepada nelayan. Beberapa keunggulan alat tangkap sero adalah mudah dioperasikan karena alat tangkap ini berupa perangkap pasif yang diletakkan di daerah pasang surut. Ikan memasuki perangkap sero sebanyak dua kali sehari setiap air surut. Dibandingkan dengan alat tangkap lain, nelayan harus pergi ke area fishing ground yang jauh dari wilayah pesisir, dan hasil yang diperoleh pun tidak optimal. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan metode demonstrasi. Nelayan secara langsung dibimbing oleh tim pengabdian mempraktikkan teknik pembuatan sero, dan cara pengoperasiannya. Program ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pendapatan nelayan tradisional yang ada di Desa Wawobungi.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Durasi pengangkutan ikan hidup skala domestik rata-rata membutuhkan waktu 8 jam, sedangkan internasional rata-rata membutuhkan waktu 24 jam. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan jenis media terhadap kadar glukosa dan kelangsungan hidup pada transportasi dan pemulihan pasca transportasi cacing echiura. Cacing echiura berukuran 80-120 g disimulasi transpotasikan selama 8 jam menggunakan metode transportasi tertutup. Perlakuan penelitian didasarkan pada perbedaan jenis media pengemasan yang digunakan, yaitu: media air, media air bersubstrat pasir, dan media pasir basah, masing-masing 3 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan jenis media yang digunakan dalam kemasan pengangkutan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kelangsungan hidup cacing echiura (p0.05), namun glukosa pada ketiganya setelah simulasi transportasi selama 8 jam lebih tinggi dibandingkan pada kondisi sebelum ditransportasikan (51,67 mg/dL). Glukosa tertinggi ditemukan pada echiura yang menggunakan media berupa air bersubstrat pasir sebesar 63,61 mg/d, selanjutnya media pasir basah sebesar 62,78 mg/dL, dan terrendah terdapat pada echiura yang pengangkutanya menggunakan media air yaitu 55,83 mg/dL. Tingkat kelangsungan hidup yang semakin turun hingga hari keenam setelah dipelhara di tangki, mengindikasikan bahwa penanganan cacing echiura pada fase pemulihan pascatransportasi belum sesuai dengan kebutuhan biologisnya. Hal tersebut diindikasikan pula oleh konsentrasi kadar glukosa yang tetap lebih tinggi dibandingkan kontrol (51,67 mg/dL), diketahui bahwa kadar glukosa darah banyak digunakan sebagai penanda biologis terjadinya stres sekunder pada ikan. Abstract

Rumput laut Gracilaria verrucosa merupakan salah satu spesies yang banyak dibudidayakan di Indonesia terutama di daerah tambak. G. verrucosa banyak dibudidayakan dengan berbagai cara tergantung pada kondisi dan karakteristik lokasi budidaya. Pengaruh kedalaman yang berbeda juga dapat memicu laju pertumbuhan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui laju pertumbuhan rumput laut G. verrucosa yang dibudidayakan dengan membandingkan tiga kedalaman penanaman yang berbeda yang dibudidayakan di lokasi tambak yang sama. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan juli-agustus 2022 yang bertempat di Kelurahan Tandebura, Kecamatan Watubangga, Kabupaten Kolaka, Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Penelitian ini menggunakan 3 perlakuan dan 18 ulangan dengan Kedalaman 20 cm (perlakuan A), Kedalaman 40 cm (perlakuan B), Kedalaman 60 cm (perlakuan C) dengan berat bibit awal 50 g/rumpun. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Rata-rata pertumbuhan mutlak rumput laut G. verrucosa yang tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan A dengan bobot 500,59 g, kemudian perlakuan B 307,81 g, dan kemudian yang terendah pada perlakuan C yaitu 185,22 g. LPS berkisar antara 2-4% perminggunya. Perbedaan kedalaman memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan, dimana pertumbuhan mutlak tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan A (kedalaman 20 cm) dengan berat bobot akhir 500,59 g. Laju pertumbuhan spesifik rumput laut G. verrucosa tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan A (kedalaman 20 cm) 4,7%, kemudian B (kedalaman 40 cm) 4,03%, dan yang terendah terdapat pada perlakuan C (kedalaman 60 cm) 3,74%. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kedalaman optimum untuk budidaya rumput laut G. verrucosa adalah 20 cm Kata Kunci : Rumput Laut G. verrucosa, Kedalaman Penanaman, Pertumbuhan.
