Abstract

ABSTRACT The study explains the effect of using #skincareviral on the interest on buying facial serum skincare products on social media that is TikTok. TikTok is a social media that provides a place for its users to express themselves through video content. In today’s digital era, the use of hashtags as a way of marketing communication. Interactive marketing on TikTok has its own potential to become a viral trend. This research is quantitative. The research data collected through a survey method by distributing an online questionnaire as an instrument to 110 respondents with predetermined criteria. The results showed that the variable #skincareviral use on TikTok videos has a strong correlation and positive. This study proves that there is an effect of using #skincareviral in TikTok videos on the interest in buying facial serum skincare products of 89,9%, while the remaining 10,1% is influenced by other factors not mentioned in this research. Kata Kunci: Use of hashtag, Interest of Buys, TikTok.

Abstract

Netflix known as entertainment company specializing in streaming service that allows their members to watch TV shows or movies on an internet-connected device without commercials. Netflix can be use on internet-connected devices that offer the Netflix app, such as tablets, smart TV and smartphone. The purpose of this research are to find the motives and the satisfactions of youth in Denpasar by using Netflix as a streaming service. This study using Uses and Gratification Theory by Dennis McQuail. This research uses descriptive quantitative method with purposive sampling technique. Data obtained by distributing questionnaire. The result shows there are two of the four motives that could be satisfied are information motive and integration and social interaction motive. Besides that, motive that has not been able to satisfied are personal identity motive and entertainment motive. Keyword: Motive, Satisfication, Youth, Netflix

Abstract

The Gua Meze Ritual is a harvest thanksgiving ritual that is carried out in July according to the local community calendar. This ritual has 33 series which are divided into three major stages, namely Preparation, Ritual Celebrations and Restoration. This study examines the nonverbal meanings contained in rituals using the theory of Semiotics by Roland Barthes. Research in Traditional Villages Tutubhada Rendu Tutubhada Village, South Aesesa District, Nagekeo Regency was carried out with the aim of knowing the meaning of nonverbal communication messages in the Gua Meze ritual. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The data source is based on literature review of previous research, observation, interviews, and documentation. The results achieved in this study are an explanation of the meaning of Denotation, Connotation and Myth in the Gua Meze ritual series in the Rendu Tutubhada Traditional Village. Abstract

In mid-2020, a lively Papuan Lives Matter campaign appeared on social media Twitter. The Papuan Lives Matter campaign has emerged after a Black Lives Matter campaign demanded justice for George Floyd's death due to violent officers. The Papuan Lives Matter campaign is a campaign adopted by Black Lives Matter to voice racism experienced by Papuans. During this time, Papua was seen as experiencing racism as it did to black people in the United States. Papuan Lives Matter comes as a form of solidarity and a campaign against racism against Papuans. Papuan Lives Matter has also become widely discussed on social media and mass media. Many mass media outlets preach Papuan Lives Matter with different points of view, including in Tempo.co and Antaranews.com. This study used Zhongdang Pan &Gerald M. Kosicki's framing analysis of Tempo.co and Antaranews.com news to look at the construction of Tempo.co reality and Antaranews.com on Papuan Lives Matter. Abstract

From commercials that aired on television, Line Webtoon became one of the digital comics that advertise their products with the aim of people watching their ads can download online comic apps and increase reading interest in comics. The purpose of this research is to find out the relationship between watching Line Webtoon ads on television to the interest in reading comics online in the people of Denpasar. This research uses a type of associative with quantitative approach. Sampling techniques used are nonprobability sample techniques and purposive sampling methods. Analysis techniques used in research through several stages, namely research instrument test, classical assumption test, Multiple Linear Regression Analysis, Goodness of Fit Test and T Statistical Test and Determination Coefficient. The result of this study is watching Webtoon Line Ads on Television is able to influence the Interest in Reading Comics online in the people of Denpasar. Abstract

Imperfect film features body shaming as the main focus of the story as well as depicting the impact felt by victims due to continuous body shaming. This research was conducted to find out the discourse displayed by Ernest Prakasa as director in the film "Imperfect". This qualitative research uses the method of analysis of the discourse model of Teun A. Van Dijk. The results of this study show that the presence of standards or parameters of beauty is what influences the mindset and way of view of society until finally assessed and embraced as a value of truth and concrete." Imperfect" gives rise to several discourses, namely "criticizing one's own appearance through judgment or comparison with others", "criticizing the appearance of others in front of them", and "criticizing the appearance of others without their knowledge". Abstract

One of the oldest radios in Bali is Menara FM Bali radio, which has been established since October 9, 1971 which was then chosen as the subject of research to know the process of preparing a radio content planning strategy. With the aim to know the strategy of planning radio content of Menara FM Bali in the MILIS program. In fact the most popular program ini Radio Menara FM Bali is a MILIS whose content planning successfully achieves the destination of the radio where the program is sheltered. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method using Philip Lesly's theory. The results of the research showed Philip Lesly's theory in accordance with the content planning strategy of Radio Menara FM Bali, which was done not because of the scientific basis in the field of broadcasting or communication but in accordance with the needs in the field. Abstract

This research is entitled “Amanda Farliany's Deaf Youtuber Communication Strategy in Socializing Indonesian Sign Language (BISINDO)”. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with Harold D. Lasswell's Communication Strategy Theory. The purpose of this research is to find out how communication strategies conducted by deaf youtuber Amanda Farliany in socializing BISINDO on youtube media.The results showed that the communication strategy according to Lasswell's theory on Amanda Farliany's youtube is Amanda Farliany as the main communicator and her husband and children as supporting communicators. The message conveyed is in the form of an educational video with several concepts by providing translated text. Supporting media used are Facebook and Instagram. The communicants on Amanda Farliany's youtube are all people. The effect obtained is positive feedback from the audience. Keywords: Communication Strategy, BISINDO, Youtube

Abstract

Objectivity is necessary to maintain credibility. Some media reports about the presidential election in Indonesia have less than 50% objectivity. The media studied in this study was Trans 7, especially the Mata Najwa show, which was the winner of the 2020 KPI Award in the news-talk show category. This study used quantitative content analysis descriptive approach by analyzing the show entitled Usai Pemilu. This study used the theory of the objectivity theory proposed by McQuail in analyzing, includes two indicators (truth and impartiality). The results of the objectivity study of Mata Najwa Trans 7 Post-election meet the items of accuracy, completeness, relevance, and non-evaluative (KPU, Bawaslu, Kubu 01, and the Survey Institute). However for factual, proportional access, two sides, non-evaluative (Kubu 02), and non-sensational items, these impressions are not presented properly. Abstract

There's 62 radio stations in Bali which makes the competition becomes very tight. FBI Bali Radio made its efforts to attract and increase the number of listeners in order to continue to compete in business of media. The purpose of this research was to examine the communication strategy of FBI Bali radio in increasing the number of listeners for the Hi Bali program. This research type is qualitative descriptive using data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and document studies. The result of this research is that in implementing its communication strategy, FBI Bali Radio using the strategy of knowing the audience, Composing messages, Determining the methods such as Redundancy, Canalizing, Informative, Persuasive, and Educational. Furthermore, in the context of media selection, apart from relying on on air and streaming, FBI Bali radio also uses social media Keywords: FBI Bali radio, Communication Strategy, increasing listeners.
