Abstract

Pasar bebas Asean sudah mulai tahun 2015 harus dijadikan tantangan sekaligus peluang untuk pengembangan pariwisata Bali yang berkelanjutan. Makalah ini mengkaji bagaimana strategi pengembangan pariwisata Bali berkelanjutan menghadapi pasar bebas Asean sejak 2015. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi lapangan, studi dokumen dan wawancara mendalam dengan 10 informan yang berasal dari pengambil kebijakan, pengamat dan pelaku bisnis pariwisata di Bali. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif dengan menerapkan dua teori, yaitu teori hirarki kebutuhan dan teori stakeholder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pariwisata budaya telah menjadi sector andalan pembangunan daerah yang mampu mensejahterakan masyarakat Bali. Keberlangsung pariwisata Bali ditopang oleh strategi keberlanjutan politik, ekonomi, keberlanjutan ekologis dan sosial-budaya masyarakat Bali. Disamping meningkatkan mutu layanan wisata, profesionalitas tenaga kerja pariwisata Bali juga perlu ditingkatkan agar mampu berperan dalam persaingan pasar bebas Asean mulai sejak tahun 2015.

Abstract

Catch Me Up! is a pioneering online media that has innovation through daily newsletters. In addition, the language features brought by Catch Me Up! using everyday Indonesian which is used by many millennial generations. This study aims to determine how the implementation of the Catch Me Up! in the face of competition in the online media industry. This research is reviewed based on the application of media management and editorial strategies used using 4 management functions of George R Terry with implementation of actuating process from Tommy Suprapto. To describe it, this research uses qualitative research methods. Primary data was obtained based on the results of in-depth interviews with 2 key-informants, while secondary data was obtained from the study of literature. The results of this study show the editorial strategy of Catch Me Up! included in the implementation stage. Analysis of the functions of planning, organizing, actuating and controlling shows Catch Me Up! has an editorial strategy in facing the online media industry competition, namely by making a daily newsletter using everyday language that is easily understood by the public. Everything is done through editorial management so that the quality of the content produced is in accordance with the standards.

Abstract

Among the problems of teenagers in today's digital technology era is sexual violence through social media which is more targeted at youth groups. This research report discusses: (1) What are the forms of sexual violence through social media that kill teenagers? (2) How is the transformation of the Catur Guru teaching in preventing sexual violence against teenagers? As a result of qualitative research, research data were obtained through document study, observation, and in-depth interviews with students or youth, educators, and stakeholders related to the problems studied. The data collected was analyzed by descriptive qualitatively and applying the theory of symbolic interactionism and the theory of developmental ecology. The results of the study show that first, the form of sexual violence that is spread by social media to adolescents is the dissemination of content in the form of photos and videos by students that leads to violence in the form of threats and the real of pornography, so, based on the case of sexual violence, education is needed. in the form of understanding to be wiser in using media and assistance to students or teenagers in using social media. Second, the sexual violence experienced by teenagers can be anticipated by implementing the Catur Guru teachings, namely: (a) maintaining religious awareness (Guru Swadyaya) so that teenagers do not fall into sexual behavior that violates religious norms, (b) parental assistance for teenagers (Guru Rupaka), which is adequate, (c) there is a sufficient direction and sexual education by teachers at the school (Guru Pengajian) which is quite intensive so that teenagers do not become victims of sexual violence, and (d) the implementation of strict policies by the government (Guru Wisesa) in brake the negative influence of social media. Socialization of Catur Guru teachings in curbing the negative influence of social media through outreach activities about the dangers of sexual violence and legal action for violators. The socialization of Catur Guru teachings in anticipating sexual violence against teenagers from social media needs to be developed. In addition, strict legal action must be put in place so that violators of sexual violence can be anticipated.

Abstract

Besides having a wealth of arts and culture, Bali's cultural tourism potential is also in the form of traditional culinary products. What is the variety of traditional Balinese culinary? Why can traditional Balinese culinary products be used as an effective means of communication and Balinese cultural diplomacy? As a form of qualitative research, research data was collected through literature, observation and interviews with observers of Balinese culture. The collected data is then analyzed with the semiotic theory of communication. The results of the study show that traditional Balinese food and beverage culinary products are part of the archipelago's cuisine which are formulated from local agricultural ingredients, packaged and served in a distinctive way, and have tantalizing flavors so that they develop into culinary tourism objects favored by tourists. Apart from being the cultural identity of the Balinese people, traditional Balinese culinary products are also an effective means of communication and Balinese cultural diplomacy. People who enjoy traditional Balinese culinary dishes will be more familiar with Balinese traditions and culture. Traditional Balinese culinary tourism needs to be maintained and developed. Abstract

Creative strategy is a planning carried out to achieve a specific goal to be achieved in an advertising. The problems want to be appointed is the thing that concerned with creative strategy Indoeskrim Nusantara "Kisah Legenda Nusantara" ads in cooperation with MullenLowe Indonesia as advertising agency that created the ads. While the aim of research is to find out how creative advertising strategy "Kisah Legenda Nusantara" ads to build brand awareness for Indoeskrim Nusantara. Researchers also use the Belch theory for the exploration of big ideas and the attractiveness of advertising. And using theory advertising in Morrisan’s book that describes ad execution.The research method used is a case study with a type of descriptive research and qualitative approaches. Techniques of data collection was in-depth interviews with some of the data sources and some documentation writers. The results of the study conclude that the creative strategy of the advertisement "Kisah Legenda Nusantara" uses the appeal of 'superior sense' (rational) of authentic Indonesian taste and the emotional appeal of integration that uses a contradictory combination of colossal (nostalgic) and contemporary elements (relevance). In execution in absurd humor, slice of life and dramatization.

Abstract

As one of the mass communication media, film acts as a medium for delivering messages to audiences through audio and visual. “De Oost/The East” is a film that depicts violence during the Indonesian war of independence. This study aims to see the representation of human rights violations in the film "De Oost/The East". The researcher uses a qualitative approach and examines data with the concept of human rights issues and human rights violations, Hall's Representation Theory and Peirce's Triangle of Meaning Theory. The results showed that the film "De Oost/The East" represented gross human rights violations in the form of: (1) Torture, (2) Murder, (3) Extermination. Various forms of human rights violations in the film in accordance with the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court Article 7 is a form of gross human rights violations, namely crimes against humanity. Abstract

Indonesia's Next Top Model Cycle 2 is a reality show program with an R13+ rating and aired during prime time, but this program has verbal violence in it. This study aims to describe the verbal violence displayed in Indonesia's Next Top Model Cycle 2. This qualitative research using John Fiske's semiotic analysis focuses on episodes 1, 32, and 38. Based on the results of the research, the dominant verbal violence seen is 1) cursing with harsh expressions/yelling with a high tone of voice, 2) insulting/mocking, 3) demonizing someone behind, and 4) humiliating/cornering in front of others. At the level of reality, verbal violence is seen in dialog, expressions, and the environment. Verbal violence is also highlighted in the aspects of camera, sound, editing, and lighting. Abstract

Television is one of the most common media for Indonesian citizens. Almost all citizens have television and at least watched television. There are varieties of content in television, and advertisement is one of the most seen contents. One of the most seen advertisements in television is online e-commerce advertisements. Some e-commerces that actively advertising through television are Shopee and Tokopedia. This study aims to compare the effectivity of Shopee and Tokopedia e-commerce Shopee and Tokopedia advertising in television to citizen in Surabaya. This study is using positivist paradigm with descriptive-quantitative method. This study is taking sample by using non-probability sampling and using purposive sampling method. Data was collected by distributing questionnaire. This study is using several analytical techniques to analyse the data, specifically by using arithmetic means analytical technique, and average difference T-test, and conclusion. This study shows different effectivity in Shopee and Tokopedia e-commerce advertising in television on Surabaya citizens. This study shows average score EPIC Model dimension where Shopee e-commerce advertisements excel Tokopedia e-commerce advertisement by 0,06.Keywords: Shopee, Tokopedia, Advertisement through Television, Surabaya Citizen.

Abstract

Songs are a kind of mass communication where messages are sent one-way from performers to listeners. The song Diri by Tulus was released on March 3, 2022 and occupied the 3rd trending on March 9, 2022 in Youtube. The meaning of self-acceptance motivation, or liking yourself, is contained in the song Diri. This research find out the meaning of the message received by Udayana University students by the lyrics of the song Diri by Tulus. The analysis used is Reception Analysis with Stuart Hall's Encoding/Decoding Theory. Descriptive qualitative research methodology is employed. As a result, informants now occupy a more dominant position. Two informants were in the dominating position because they fully agreed with the meaning included in the preferred reading. The positions of the remaining three informants are mixed, namely dominat-position and oppositional-position because the majority agree and reject one meaning contained in the preferred reading. Abstract

ABSTRAKWacana Ekonomi Alternatif dalam Film “The Take”Film merupakan media massa yang dapat digunakan untuk menyebarkan ideologi bagi kepentingan kelas dominan, sekaligus menjadi instrumen perlawanan bagi kaum tertindas dengan menghadirkan ideologi tandingan. Film The Take menampilkan tema besar pengambil alihan pabrik dan praktik pengelolaan pabrik tanpa campur tangan pemiliknya sebagai jawaban atas krisis ekonomi yang terjadi di Argentina pada awal 2000an. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan analisis wacana kritis model Teun A. Van Dijk. Analisis wacana dalam penelitian ini terbatas pada level teks dengan menjabarkan struktur makro, superstruktur dan struktur mikro. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya wacana ekonomi alternatif yang dilakukan setelah pengambilalihan pabrik. Para pekerja melakukan pengelolaan pabrik secara bersama dengan menerapkan sistem koperasi sebagai ideologi tandingan atas kapitalisme.
