Abstract

The PMO design in this study was carried out because the PMO need to strengthen its function so that the PMO can mobilize its full potential according to organizational goals. This study aims to determine the stages of establishing and implementing PMO Initiation, identifying PMO functions and its indicators, analyzing the importance level of results no. 2 towards improving project results & organizational performance, designing business processes & PMO Initiation SOPs. The methods used are expert judgment, AHP, descriptive statistics and BPMN. The results showed that there were 11 stages of establishing and implementing PMO Initiation, 3 PMO functions, 9 PMO function indicators, each 2 success criteria for improving project outcomes and organizational performance. This research also produces business process designs: division (1), department (5) and PMO (3). The managerial implication gives 3 draft PMO SOPs. This PMO design is based on the identification of PMO functions that affect business processes & it is the first time to be done. Modeling and documenting the business processes that occur can identify bottlenecks and improve cross-functional work alignment throughout project activities [1].Keywords: Design, PMO Functions, Project Results, Organization Performance, Business Process.

Abstract

COVID 19 and other diseases with high risk of transmission lead to hospital occupancy restrictions. On the other hand, the patient’s family needs to know the most recent patient condition. This research aims to design a patient monitoring system. Thus, the patient's family can monitor the patient's condition without visiting the hospital to reduce the transmission risk. The process of designing this monitoring system is carried out using a design thinking approach which consists of an empathy process, define, ideate, prototype, and test. This design thinking approach is combined with the Quality Function Deployment method. This approach was chosen because design thinking can solve problems effectively by understanding user needs and redefining the user experience problems. The result of this research is the patient monitoring system mockup. The mockup usability was tested using usability questionnaire. Respondents who are stakeholders in one of the hospitals agree that the developed patient monitoring system could solve existing problems.

Abstract

The medical device industry company experienced the problem of prolonged accumulation of finished goods in the warehouse, causing one of the safety box items to be defective and damaged. Therefore, this study aims to plan demand forecasting and design inventory policies that consider repair items caused during the buildup of finished goods in the warehouse to minimize total inventory costs using ANN and Continuous Review (s,Q) methods. Demand forecasting is carried out for the next 20 months, from May 2023 to December 2024, using the ANN model with a total forecasting of 17936 units of inner items and 3370 units of outer items. After that, the inventory policy calculation uses the continuous review (s,Q) method. The calculation results show a decrease in the total inventory cost on inner items by 83% and outer items by 79%. After demand forecasting, there was also a decrease in the total initial inventory cost of inner items by 81% and outer items by 80%. This research develops an inventory optimization model that considers repair items due to the accumulation of goods in the warehouse by integrating holding cost, ordering cost, and repair cost variables to develop inventory policies to be more effective and efficient and to utilize damaged products for repair and resale. The limitation of this research is that it only gets demand forecasting results for the next 20 months because the company only started operating in September 2021 and limited data access. It is hoped that future researchers can plan and design an inventory policy strategy with demand forecasting for the next 10 years, focusing on repair items caused by the accumulation of finished goods in the warehouse.

Abstract

A market levy is a type of general service levy collected from traders to cover the costs of using market facilities and obtaining permits from the local government. The benefit of implementing digital levy payment is that the levy payment service can be accessed online, facilitating payment transactions for traders. However, the researchers observed issues in the Trade Sector of the West Bandung Regency’s Department of Industry and Trade, particularly regarding the inefficient collection of market levies. Using a digital fee collection system can reduce several risks for the government, such as preventing leakage of fees that generally occurs with manual collection, errors in refunds and calculations, and providing protection during cash collection. The implementation of this digital levy aims to maximize Regional Original Revenue and reorganize the market system. This digital payment system was designed using the design thinking method. The design thinking method has effectively helped identify user needs and create solutions. The usability testing results using the Useberry application for the West Bandung Industry and Trade Office’s levy application received positive responses, as all 10 respondents of end users completed the tasks given. Furthermore, the 26 UEQ items were grouped into six categories. The assessment of the six categories is generated good scores. Based on this, the user experience of the West Bandung Industry and Trade Office’s levy application can be categorized as good.

Abstract

Pada proses pemetikannya, petani di PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) VIII sudah menggunakan mesin pemetik pucuk daun teh, namun postur tubuh dari petani saat menggunakan mesin tersebut tidak ergonomis yang dapat berisiko kepada Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). Dengan itu, penelitian ini dibuat untuk membuat rancangan alat bantu mesin pemetik pucuk daun teh di PTPN VIII yang dapat mengurangi risiko MSDs. Metode yang digunakan dalam perancangan alat ini yaitu User Centered Design (UCD) di mana metode ini dapat merancang suatu produk yang berorientasi kepada pengguna dalam proses mendesainnya. Postur tubuh petani akan dinilai melalui perhitungan Rapid Upper Limb Assessment(RULA) yang mampu mengevaluasi postur tubuh terhadap risiko ergonomi yang terkait dengan MSDs. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan RULA, didapatkan postur pada petani 1 memiliki skor RULA sebesar 7, petani 2 sebesar 6, dan petani 3 sebesar 3. Setelah dilakukan simulasi terhadap hasil rancangan dengan software Jack 8.2 didapatkan skor sebesar 3 pada petani 1 dan 2 yang memiliki risiko rendah. Hal tersebut menyatakan bahwa alat bantu mesin pemetik pucuk daun teh dapat mengurangi risiko MSDs. Kata Kunci:  Teh, Musculoskeletal Disorders, Ergonomi, User Centered Design

Abstract

The competitive animal feed industry requires efficient production planning to meet market demand, maximize resource use, and sustain profitability. Various raw materials, tools, and techniques are utilized to create animal feed, which results in various variants that might influence throughput rates and thereby alter the accuracy of yield projections. Data mining is applied to train and validate different algorithms to ascertain the most effective model for predicting throughput rates through machine learning. This study uses CRISP-DM to construct an enhanced predictive model for production throughput rate. Due to the model's improved prediction accuracy, scheduling and operational decision-making will be more efficient and cost-effective. The CRISP-DM framework is used to examine historical production data and forecast production levels. Advanced machine learning techniques train and evaluate the model to make accurate predictions that can be mathematically simulated using possible constraints. The findings show that throughput rate predictions are effectively generated by the predictive model that was created using data mining processes. Metrics like Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Mean Squared Error (MSE), and Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) are used to assess the model and identify the optimal model after attempting using different predictive machine learning techniques. With the linear regression algorithm and MAE values of 5,186, MSE of 1,585, and RMSE of 5,970.32, the best prediction model test results have been determined. An optimal scheduling simulation is conducted from the selected model, with the constraint of the customer's delivery requirements and the time capacity, specifically a maximum throughput rate prediction of 23.78 tons/hour. However, this study reveals how the data mining process is applied to the decision-making process with the use of operation research support so that the optimal production rate prediction is 22 tons/hour.

Abstract

 AbstractSorghum silage production is an important process in the animal feed industry. However, manually transferring chopped sorghum with existing shovels can increase workers' risk of musculoskeletal disorders. This study aimed to design an ergonomic shovel to reduce the risk of injury and improve work efficiency. The shovel design was developed based on worker anthropometric data and the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) approach. Ergonomic evaluation was conducted using the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method, while productivity was measured based on worker energy consumption and work capacity. The results showed that the ergonomic shovel reduced the ergonomic risk score from 11 to 4, indicating a significant improvement in work posture. The average heart rate of workers after work decreased from 195–201 beats per minute to 118–122 beats per minute. Productivity increased from 1.06–1.13 kg/kcal to 4.09–4.41 kg/kcal, indicating increased work energy efficiency. The shovel's ergonomic design has a 72 cm handle length, 3 cm handle diameter, and stainless steel material, which has proven more comfortable to use and reduces the worker's physiological burden. This study's results confirm that applying ergonomic principles in designing work tools can improve worker welfare and the efficiency of the sorghum silage industry. Aktivitas pemindahan manual irisan sorgum dengan sekop eksisting dapat meningkatkan risiko gangguan muskuloskeletal pada pekerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang sekop ergonomis untuk mengurangi risiko cedera dan meningkatkan efisiensi kerja. Desain sekop dikembangkan berdasarkan data antropometri pekerja serta pendekatan Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Evaluasi ergonomi dilakukan menggunakan metode Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA), sedangkan produktivitas diukur berdasarkan konsumsi energi dan kapasitas kerja pekerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sekop ergonomis menurunkan skor risiko ergonomi dari 11 menjadi 4 yang mengindikasikan perbaikan postur kerja yang signifikan. Rata-rata denyut nadi pekerja setelah bekerja menurun dari 195–201 denyut per menit menjadi 118–122 denyut per menit. Produktivitas meningkat dari 1,06–1,13 kg/kkal menjadi 4,09–4,41 kg/kkal, menunjukkan peningkatan efisiensi energi kerja. Desain ergonomis sekop dengan panjang gagang 72 cm, diameter pegangan 3 cm, serta material baja tahan karat terbukti lebih nyaman digunakan dan mengurangi beban fisiologis pekerja. Hasil penelitian ini memastikan bahwa penerapan prinsip ergonomi dalam desain alat kerja dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan pekerja dan efisiensi industri silase sorgum. Abstract

Abstrak — Pupuk anorganik banyak digunakan masyarakatIndonesia karena dampaknya yang terlihat dalam jangkawaktu pendek, namun belakangan ini masyarakat mulaimerasakan dampak buruknya sehingga banyak yang mulaipindah menggunakan pupuk organik. Untuk menunjangaktivitas tersebut maka produksi pupuk organik sangat pentinguntuk dilakukan. Universitas Telkom memiliki green houseyang dapat membuat pupuk kompos dengan memanfaatkansampah daun yang setiap hari terhasilkan. Proses produksipupuk kompos yang dilaksanakan di Universitas Telkomsebagian besar masih dilakukan secara manual dengan alatbantu seadanya, kondisi ini menyebabkan pekerja perlu beradapada postur yang kurang baik sehingga menimbulkan risikoterkena Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). Untukmemperbaiki kondisi tersebut maka dilaksanakan penelitian inidengan tujuan untuk membuat rancangan alat bantupengemasan menggunakan metode Ergonomic FunctionDeployment (EFD) agar rancangan alat bantu sesuai denganaspek ergonomi (ENASE) dan dapat meningkatkan efisiensiproduksi pupuk kompos di Universitas Telkom. Penelitian inimenghasilkan desain alat bantu pengemasan berupa mesinscrew conveyor, serta beberapa usulan pelengkap seperti mejakerja dan kursi. Penggunaan alat bantu ini dapat menurunkannilai Rapid Upper Limb Analysis (RULA) dari 6 (enam)menjadi 2 (dua), serta mempercepat proses pengisian kemasandari 55 detik menjadi 4 detik Kata kunci— ergonomic function deployment,musculoskeletal disorders, tahap pengemasan, ergonomi, screwconveyor, RULA.

Abstract

Abstrak — Sampah adalah masalah serius di Indonesia,dengan total sampah nasional mencapai 36.113.922,58 tonpada tahun 2023, menjadikannya salah satu negara penghasillimbah terbesar di dunia. Jika tidak dikelola dengan baik,sampah dapat menimbulkan masalah besar yang merugikanpemerintah dan masyarakat. Saat ini, Indonesia masihmenggunakan sistem pengangkutan sampah konvensionalsecara door to door dengan aliran informasi yang buruk.Aliran informasi yang buruk ini terjadi karena kurangnyasistem terintegrasi. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, dirancangaplikasi pengelolaan pengangkutan sampah rumah tanggabernama Wasteaways. Aplikasi ini memfasilitasi aliraninformasi dari hulu ke hilir dengan fitur seperti Lihat Jadwal,New Updates, Ajukan Pengangkutan, Feedback, dan Insight.
