Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of students in grade 2 Islamic boarding school Darul Mukhlisin Karang Baru Aceh Tamiang to understand al-Qawaid an-Nahwiyah before and after learning using conventional and electronic mind-mapping strategies. Then knowing the effect of using conventional and electronic mind mapping on the understanding of al-Qawaid an-Nahwiyah students in grade 2 Darul Mukhlisin Islamic boarding school Karang Baru Aceh Tamiang. The type of research used is field research with experimental quantitative methods. For data processing, the t-test statistical method was used. The results of this study indicate that students' abilities are still weak in understanding al-Qawaid an-Nahwiyah before using conventional and electronic mind-mapping strategies. This can be seen from their average score which only reached 61.7 with a standard deviation of 19.5. After using this strategy, the students' abilities increased and improved, this can be seen from the results of their average score which reached 73.7 with a standard deviation of 16.6. From the data processing using the t-test, the T-count value is 5.364, then the T-count value is greater than T-table because the T-table value is only 2,042. So it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of using conventional and electronic mind mapping in the understanding of students in grade 2 Islamic boarding school Darul Mukhlisin Karang Baru Aceh Tamiang on al-Qawaid an-Nahwiyah.

Abstract

The implementation of this research focuses on two objectives, namely, firstly, creating a community that guides children with morals based on the perspective of Islamic religious teachings, and secondly, helping the community in educating the Islamic generation to be able to have morals based on the perspective of Islamic religious teachings to the SD Negeri 07 Brohol community, Sei Suka sub-district, Batubara district. Using the Asset Based Communities Development (ABCD) method by obtaining data through the 5D cycle, namely define (determine) discovery (find), dream (dream), design (design), destiny (do) in order to realize change at each stage with the form of mentoring activities, empowering assets owned by the community with the result that students receive moral and moral learning based on the perspective of Islamic religious teachings, schools understand asset-based development that schools can develop with existing potential and the community increasingly trusts schools that can increase change and develop assets with great potential.

Abstract

This study examines strengthening religious and social values through fardu kifayah training using Participatory Action Research (PAR) integrated with Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) principles in Tangga Batu Village, a minority Muslim community in Toba Regency, North Sumatra. Employing descriptive qualitative methodology within a community service framework, this program implemented four cyclical PAR stages: Planning, Action, Observation, and Reflection over 14 days (March 4-17, 2025). Data collection involved participatory observation, in-depth interviews with 25 community members, and comprehensive documentation. The study engaged 45 participants, including youth (60%), religious leaders (20%), and community members (20%). Findings reveal significant community understanding and skills enhancement, particularly among younger generations, in independently performing fardu kifayah rituals. Active involvement of educational institutions and religious figures strengthened the community's collective awareness and social solidarity. The study concludes that the ABCD approach effectively identifies and optimizes local assets, enabling the development of participatory and sustainable religious-based empowerment models in multicultural settings.

Abstract

Abstrak Jamaah kajian Salafi Sumatera Utara sering menggunakan istilah bahasa Arab dalam komunikasi dan ini merupakan fakta menarik, karena hal ini menyebabkan makna baru terbentuk dan penggunaan istilah berupa alih kode atau campur kode. Peneliti bertujuan menganalisis istilah bahasa Arab ditinjau dari perspektif semantik dan sosiolinguistik. Penelitian ini penelitian kualitatif dengan desain etnografi. Data dalam penelitian ini bersumber dari jamaah kajian Salafi Sumatera Utara dengan sampel jamaah kajian Salafi: Binjai Mengaji, Langkat Mengaji dan Medan Mengaji. Instrument penelitian meliputi pedoman observasi, pedoman wawancara, lembar angket, serta kartu dan lembar rekapitulasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis data penelitian kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Penggunaan tersebut terjadi pada berbagai suasana, semi resmi adalah terbanyak 20 peristiwa tutur dan santai paling sedikit 10 peristiwa tutur. (2) Perubahan makna yaitu perluasan makna paling sedikit penggunaannya 7 istilah dan makna tetap terbanyak penggunaannya 37 istilah. (3) Relasi makna yaitu sinonim 79 istilah, antonim paling sedikit penggunaannya yaitu 1 istilah dan homonimi terbanyak penggunaan yaitu 17 istilah. (4) Alih kode dan campur kode ditemukan dari bahasa Indonesia ke bahasa Arab paling banyak 67 dan 1 campur kode dari bahasa Medan ke bahasa Arab. (5) Motivasi mereka lebih menyukai bahasa Arab karena sopan, lebih mudah, dan lebih sederhana digunakan Selain itu mereka berusaha menambah istilah dan bertanya saat ada istilah yang tidak dimengerti. Adapun istilah bahasa Arab yang sering digunakan adalah syukron, afwan, jazzakallahu khairan, barakallahu fiikum, akhi, ukhwati, nadhor, sirwal, laa isbal, dan talim/daurah. Kata kunci: Semantik, sosiolinguistik, Istilah Bahasa Arab. Abstract Jamaah Kajian Salafi North Sumatra often uses the Arabic term in communication. The use of the Arabic term by Jamaah Salafi is an interesting fact, as it causes new meanings to be formed, and the use of this term can be either code transfer or code mixing. This draws the attention of researchers to analyze the Arabic term in terms of semantic and soiolinguistic perspectives. This research uses qualitative research type with desain ethnografi. The data in this research comes from activist Jamaah Kajian Salafi North Sumatra with sample of Binjai Mengaji, Langkat Mengaji and Medan Mengaji. This data collection through observation, interview, questionnaire and documentation. Research instruments include observation guides, interview guides, questionnaires, as well as cards and recapitulation sheets. Data analysis using qualitative research data analysis techniques. The result of the research shows that: (1) The use of Arabic term by Jamaah Salafi occurs in various atmosphere, semi-official is at most 20 speech events and relax is at least 10 speech events. (2) Changes in meaning include the extension of the meaningusing at least 7 terms and the maximum fixed meaning using 37 terms. (3) The relation of meaning includes synonyms there are 79 terms, antonyms with the least use have 1 term, and homony there are the most use 17 terms, (4) The code and code interfaces are found to Mix code from Indonesian to Arabic at most 67 and 1 mix code from Medan language to Arabic. (5) The motivation in using this Arabic term prefer to use Arabic because Arabic is decently, easier and simpler to use. In addition they try to add terms and ask when there are terms that are not understood. The Arabic term that is often used is syukron, afwan, jazzakallahu khairan, barakallahu fiikum, akhi, ukhwati, nadhor, sirwal, laa isbal, dan talim/daurah.. Keywords: Semantics, sociolinguistics, Arabic terms. مستخلص البحث جماعة تعليم السلفي سومطر شمالية كثرة الإستخدام مصطلح اللغة العربية عند الإتصال وهذا الواقعة المعجيبة لأن هذا يسبب تغير المعنى الجديد واستخدام المصطلح يعنى تناوب لغوي أو خلط اللغات. يهدف البحث لتحليل استخدام اللغة العربية من حيث علم الدلالة واللغة الإجتماعية. هذا البحث بحث كيفي بتصميم الاثنوغرافيا . بيان البحث يأخذ من جماعة تعليم السلفي سومطر شمالية بعينة جماعة تعليم السلفي: تعليم البنجاي و تعليم اللنكات و تعليم الميدان. أدوات البحث هي بيان الملاحظة وبيان المقابلة واسمارة الإستبانة و الإستمارة أو البطقة و استمارة الخلاصة العامة. تحليل البيانات بطريقة التحليل البيانات البحث الكيفي. نتائج البحث تبين أن هذا الإستخدام يكون عند عدة الحال يعني غير الرسمي أكثر استخداماً 20 الحوار و في حالة الفراغ أقّل استخداماً 10 الحوار. و تطور دلالي يعني تعميم المعنى أقّل استخداماً 7 المصطلحات وبقاء المعنى أكثره 37 المصطلح. ارتباط المعنى يكون المثرادفة 79 المصطلح والمتضادة أقّل استخداماً الكلمة 1 و اشتراك لفظي أكثره 17 المصطلح. و من تناوب لغوي و الخلط اللغات من اللغة الإندونيسيا إلى العربية أكثره (67) الحوار و (1) من اللغة الميدان إلى اللغة العربية. و دافعهم أن يفضل استخدام اللغة العربية لأن وجود الأدب المستخدم و بسيط و اسهل. وايضا هم يحولون أن يزيدوا المصطلح ويسأل عندما يجد المصطلح لا يفهمها. و مصطلح اللغة العربية التي تستخدمهم كثيراُ كلمة شكراً و عفوا و جزاك الله خيرا و بارك الله فيكم وأخي وأختي ونظار وسروال ولا اسبال وتعليم/دورة. الكلمات المحورية: علم الدلالة، اللغوي الإجتماعي، مصطلح اللغة العربية.

Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this study is whether there is a relationship between Tashrif Mastery and Reading Text Understanding in Class X Students of Ma'had Uluwwul Himmah Marendal? This study aims to see and find out the relationship between Tashrif Mastery and Reading Text Understanding in Class X Students of Ma'had Uluwwul Himmah Marendal. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with a correlation method using statistical data analysis with the Spearman Brown formula to find research results. The results obtained are a relationship between Tashrif Mastery and Reading Text Understanding in Class X Students of Ma'had Uluwwul Himmah Marendal with a correlation value of 0.636 and shows a unidirectional relationship. So the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. And the conclusion is that there is a relationship between variable x and variable y.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to explain the implementation of problem-based learning (PBL) in developing listening skills (maharah istima’) using television as a medium at the As-Sunnah Islamic College, Deli Serdang. This research employs a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, documentation, and data analysis, which encompasses data reduction, data analysis, and drawing conclusions. The focus of the study is on the planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning activities through the application of problem-based learning to enhance maharah istima’ using television as a medium. The findings indicate that problem-based learning in developing maharah istima’ with television as a medium begins with the preparation of a semester learning plan, which is a crucial step to ensure that the learning process is structured and aligned with the intended learning outcomes. The implementation consists of five stages: (1) problem orientation by explaining the thematic issues using television broadcasts; (2) organizing students into small groups; (3) guiding students, either in groups or individually, to gather information; (4) developing solutions, where each group presents their analysis and proposed solutions; and (5) evaluating the learning process by both lecturers and students. الهدف من هذه الدراسة هو شرح مفهوم التعلم القائم على حل المشكلات في سياق تحسين مهارات الاستماع من خلال استخدام وسائل الإعلام التلفزيونية في جامعة السنة الإسلامية  بدلي سردانج، تستخدم الدراسة منهجية البحث النوعي، باستخدام إطار الظواهر، حيث تشمل تقنيات جمع البيانات الملاحظة والمقابلات والتوثيق وعملية تحليل البيانات متعددة الأوجه التي تشمل تقليل البيانات والتحليل المنهجي وصياغة الاستنتاجات. ركز هذا البحث على تخطيط وتنفيذ وتقييم الممارسات التعليمية التي تتضمن التعلم القائم على حل المشكلات بهدف النهوض بالمهارة المنشودة من خلال وسيلة التلفزيون. تشير نتائج البحث إلى أن المراحل الأولى من تطوير التعلم القائم على حل المشكلات لتحسين استخدام وسيلة التلفزيون تبدأ بصياغة خطة التعلم للفصل الدراسي، وهي خطوة مهمة في ضمان توافق عمليات التعلم المنظمة مع النتائج التعليمية المحددة مسبقًا. يتم تفعيل العملية من خلال خمس مراحل مختلفة: تتضمن المرحلة الأولية توجيه المشكلات، حيث يتم شرح المشكلات الموضوعية من خلال البث التلفزيوني؛ تتضمن المرحلة الثانية تنظيم الطلاب في عدة مجموعات صغيرة؛ المرحلة الثالثة توفر التوجيه للطلاب، إما بشكل جماعي أو فردي، لغرض جمع المعلومات؛ المرحلة الرابعة، المعروفة باسم تطوير النتائج، تتطلب من كل مجموعة تقديم نتائجها التحليلية والحلول المقترحة؛ وتشمل المرحلة الخامسة تقييم التعلم العملية التي أجراها كل من المحاضرين والطلاب.

Abstract

The flash flood disaster that struck Batu Busuak, Padang City, in November-December 2025 caused massive damage to residential areas. Within three weeks, this area experienced four consecutive flash floods that swept away 11 houses, severely damaged 46 houses, and forced hundreds of families to evacuate. This community service activity aimed to provide humanitarian aid in the form of necessities to flood victims through international collaboration between Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam (STAI) As-Sunnah Deli Serdang and Bayaan Association Singapore. The service partners were flood-affected communities in Koto Panjang Ikua Koto Sub-district, Koto Tangah District, and Batu Busuak, Lambung Bukik Sub-district, Pauh District, Padang City. Implementation methods included multi-institutional coordination, international fundraising, local procurement of aid, and door-to-door and distribution-point delivery. A total of IDR 57,000,000 was collected and used to procure necessity packages for 150 affected households. The activity was conducted on December 24-27, 2025, and was led directly by the Chairman of STAI As-Sunnah. The results showed that aid distribution successfully reached victims in isolated locations using adaptive methods according to field conditions. Community response was very positive despite high psychosocial trauma, where residents lived in constant vigilance against subsequent flood threats. This activity was also followed by sustainability programs, including plans to build mosques and bore wells, undertaken by Yayasan Peduli Kemanusiaan Arrisalah as long-term recovery efforts. The Singapore-Indonesia international collaboration in this activity demonstrated the effectiveness of global Islamic philanthropy networks for local emergency response.
