Abstract

Pengetahuan tentang pertolongan pertama pada korban tenggelam bagi masyarakat pesisir sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan keberhasilan bantuan, terutama para nelayan yang memiliki resiko dari pekerjaaan di wilayah perairan, akan tetapi kondisi saat ini sangat sedikit edukasi yang diberikan kepada masyarakat sebagai penolong pertama di tempat kejadian. Oleh karena itu keris Agroners melakukan edukasi pelatihan pertolongan korban tenggelam pada nelayan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan keberhasilan nelayan saat memberikan pertolongan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan peningkatan pengetahuan nelayan dalam menolong korban tenggelam dengan metode simulasi. Hasil yang didapatkan terdapat nilai p value < 0.005, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahawa terdapat perbedaaan kemampuan nelayan dari sebelum dan setelah dilakukan pelatihan dengan metode simulasi. Metode simulasi yang efektif, dapat mengajarkan seseorang secara mudah dalam memahami pengetahuan baru. Hasil ini menunjukan bahwa metode simulasi sangat efektif digunakan untuk melatih orang awam dalam melakukan pertolongan pertama korban tenggelam.

Abstract

Abstract Knowledge of  COVID-19 patients can be interpreted as the result of knowing from patients about the disease, understanding of the disease, ways of prevention, treatment and complications, Community attitudes to slow transmission, especially among high-risk populations Attitudes are measured according to awareness of social distancing at work and worship , as well as learning from home, Vaccines are substances or substances that function to help the body fight certain diseases. A vaccinated body will form antibodies against certain viruses. Vaccination against Covid-19 is one of the Indonesian government's efforts to deal with the COVID-19 problem. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of the community with the administration of the COVID-19 vaccine in the Waterfall Village, Medan Marelan District. This type of research is a type of quantitative research. The population in this study is the 100 people in the sub-district community. The sample in this study were 80 people from the community. There are 2 sampling techniques, namely probability sampling and accidental sampling. The tool used to conduct the research was a questionnaire sheet, the data were analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed that there was no relationship between knowledge and giving the COVID-19 vaccine (P=0.150), there was a relationship between people's attitudes and giving the COVID-19  vaccine (P=0.000). Suggestions from this study It is hoped that the public can take part in the COVID-19 vaccination to be able to form body protection from exposure to the virus during the Covid-19 pandemic by continuing to implement a healthy and clean lifestyle and continue to carry out health protocols, so that they can avoid exposure to the COVID-19 virus.

Abstract

Stunting merupakan masalah pertumbuhan pada anak di bawah lima tahun, di mana mereka memiliki tinggi badan yang lebih rendah dari seharusnya karena kekurangan nutrisi yang berkepanjangan. Pada tahun 2020, Indonesia memiliki masalah stunting yang serius, dengan angka prevalensi 31,8% menurut data WHO, menjadikannya negara dengan prevalensi stunting tertinggi kedua di Asia TenggaraTarget pemerintah dalam RPJMN 2020-2024, prevalensi stunting turun hingga 14%. Fokus penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang berpotensi menyebabkan stunting pada balita usia 24-59 bulan yang tinggal di Kabupaten Nias Utara. Studi ini menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif analitik observasional dengan desain case control. Populasi yang diteliti mencakup seluruh balita yang tercatat di Wilayah Kabupaten Nias Utara. Studi ini melibatkan 118 balita sebagai sampel, dengan komposisi 59 balita dalam kelompok kasus dan 59 balita dalam kelompok kontrol. Fokus penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang berpotensi menyebabkan stunting pada balita usia 24-59 bulan yang tinggal di Kabupaten Nias Utara. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa kejadian stunting ada hubungannya dengan riwayat pemberian ASI Eksklusif berdasarkan hasil uji statistik didapatkan nila p 0,001, riwayat pemberian MP-ASI nilai p 0,000, usia ibu saat hamil nilai p 0,000, jarak kelahiran nilai p 0,001, status pendidikan ibu didapatkan nilai p 0,000, status pekerjaan ibu nilai p 0,000, status pendapatan keluarga nilai p 0,000, pola nutrisi nilai p 0,000, penyakit infeksi nilai p 0,000, sanitasi lingkungan nilai p 0,008, status imunisasi nilai 0,008 dan pola asuh nilai p = 0,008.

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the factors of stroke. the number of people with hypertension in the elderly is very high. The purpose of the research was determine the relationship between hypertension and the people who get stroke in the elderly at Taman Bodhi Asri Medan, Kecamatan Medan  Sunggal  in 2024. The method of the research was an analytic survey using a cross – sectional design. The population of the research were all hypertension and stroke as many as 46 people. The technique of sampling used by total sampling with 46 elder people who affected by hypertension and stroke. Data was collected by looking at medical records. The statistical test was used by Fisher’s Exact Test. The result of the study obtained in grade 1 of hypertension (140/90 – 159/99 mmHg) were 36 people (78,3), grade 2 of hypertension (160/100 – 179/109) were 10 people (21,7%). There were 17 people (37%) who had a stroke and 29 people (37%) who did not have a stroke. The result obtained by using Fisher’s Exact test showed that the hypertension in grade 2 correlated with stroke’s patients, have 8 people (80%) with p value 0,003 and having an old ratio = 10,106. This is because of hypertension in grade 2 is 10,106 times more possible to get a stroke. It was concluded that the higher of hypertension’s degree,  will get the stroke faster. Therefore, this study is expected that one who with hypertension must be careful. Do not let the degree of hypertension increase because it will be 10.106 times to get a stroke.

Abstract

Dementia is a condition characterized by a decline in memory and cognitive abilities. If left unaddressed, it can result in behavioral changes in the elderly, such as impaired memory, loss of self-recognition, reduced self-care, and hostility toward others. Puzzle therapy involves assembling images that have been divided into pieces, aiming to stimulate cognitive function, train patience, and foster social skills. This group activity therapy was conducted to assess the memory of elderly individuals with dementia. The intervention involved nine elderly participants diagnosed with dementia. Data were collected using the MOCA INA questionnaire and standard operating procedures for puzzle activities. It is recommended that puzzle therapy be implemented regularly for elderly individuals experiencing dementia.

Abstract

Background: Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is the most rapidly spreading mosquito-borne viral disease in the world. It is an emerging disease, episodic and occurring annually.  Aims: This study was to examine the knowledge, attitude, and practice of community in Palmeriam, Jakarta regarding dengue hemorrhagic fever. Methods: A community-based cross-sectional study was designed in this study between June to July 2016. Purposive sampling was done to collect data from 148 respondents. Results: This study found that average age was 47 years old, 75% were women, and 46.6% finished secondary high school. In another hand, 23.6% respondents had good knowledge, and 49.3% had a neutral attitude for preventing dengue hemorrhagic fever. The study found that 68.2% respondents had a mid-level of practice prevention dengue hemorrhagic fever and it can be improved. This study indicated that the community was quite familiar with Dengue hemorrhagic fever, but there was confusion about water storage and environment effect. Conclusion: Health promotion program and community participation should improve dengue awareness. Abstract

Improving outpatient rehabilitation enhances the lives of those battling substance abuse. This study evaluates its impact at the National Narcotics Agency, North Sumatra. The study aims to assess outpatient rehabilitation's effectiveness on individuals with substance abuse history, focusing on physical health, psychological well-being, social support, and the environment. Using quantitative methodology with pre-post design, the entire patient population (n=54) was included. Research findings reveal significant and positive impacts of the rehabilitation program on physical health, psychological well-being, social support, and patient environmental conditions. Statistical analysis, with a significance level of (p < 0.001), confirms the remarkable success of the intervention, emphasizing the crucial role of the program in enhancing the overall quality of life for patients. This study delves into outpatient rehabilitation program effectiveness, highlighting the need for multidimensional support in the recovery journey.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Stunting adalah kondisi terhambatnya pertumbuhan pada anak balita akibat kurang gizi kronis sehingga anak terlibat lebih pendek dari pertumbuhan usianya. Hal tersebut akan berdampak pada perkembangan anak, maka pemantauan pertumbuhan dan perkembang balita sangat penting dilakukan untuk mengetahui hambatan pertumbuhan (growth faltering) sejak dini. Salah satu desa yang sulit dijangkau membuat masyarakat kurang informasi tentang stunting dan tidak menyadari situasi pertumbuhan dan permbangan anak mereka. Tujuan: kegiatan ini untuk mendeteksi secara dini stunting pada anak usia dibawah lima tahun (Balita) di Desa Durin Tunggal dan memberikan informasi penting tentang stunting. Metode kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah pengukuran tinggi Badan dan Berat Badan yang dikonversi dengan nila Z sesuai acuan kementrian kesehatan Republik Indonesia dan juga diberikan pendidikan kesehatan tentang stunting atau mayarakat mengenal dengan sebutan kerdil. Hasil: Sebanyak 18 ibu dengan anak balita mengikuti kegiatan dengan aktif dan 22 balita dilakukan deteksi stunting. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini menunjukan mayoritas masyarakat tidak memahami tentang stunting dan 54,5 % balita laki-laki yang diukur tinggi badan dan berat badan. Mayoritas balita yang dideteksi usia 4-5 tahun (63,6%) dan 2-3 tahun sebanyak 36,4%. Hasil pengukuran menunjukan 86,4 % balita tidak mengalami stunting namun ditemukan 13,6 % balita stunting. Kesimpulan: Maka hal ini perlu menjadi perhatian khusus supaya ibu-ibu bisa menyadari pertumbuhan anaknya dan memberikan asupan nutrisi yang baik untuk mencegah stunting.

Abstract

Rabies is an acute infectious disease in central nervous system which is the effect of a zoonotic virus that spread through direct contact to the wound or mucosa by infected animal saliva or paw. Rabies virus has been transmitted to human through a animal’s rabies transmitters bite like dog, car, and ape. Indonesia is a Country with a high prevalence of rabies. The low level of knowledge and lack of source of informations lead rabies prevention still become a serious problem. Purpose of this research is to knowing factors that influence society level of knowledge about rabies handling in Desa Sekubang, Sintang, West espondent. This research using descriptive quantitative correlation method with cross sectional approaches. There are 146 patriarch respondent in Desa Sekubang that has been comply inclusion criteria. The research result show that 63,7% espondent age 20-40, 49,3% respondent only studied until elementary school, 86,3% got the information from healthcare workers, 91,1% has a risk environment, and 89% have a good knowledge. Kendall’s tau-c and Chi-square correlation test statistically have a relation between age (p=0,114), education (p=0,000), environment (p=0,000), information from healthcare workers and the level of knowledge about rabies handling.Therefore this research shows the source of information from healthcare workers is very important to increase knowledge of rabies handling.
