Abstract

ABSTRAKPenyebaran COVID-19 telah menyita perhatian masyarakat dunia termasuk di Indonesia. Covid-19 merupakan penyakit infeksi pernafasan yang dapat ditularkan melalui percikan batuk dan bersin.  Tujuan Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini adalah Untuk mengedukasi masyarakat tentang pentingnya menggunakan handsanitizer, dan memberikan pengetahuan bahwa hand sanitizer dapat dibuat menggunakan bahan alami yang ada di lingkungan sekitar. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Taman Seruni, Kelurahan Taman Sari,Kecamatan Ampenan,Kota Mataram.  Metode pengabdian ada dua tahap yaitu sosialisasi tentang pentingnya penggunaan handsanitizer, diiringi dengan pelatihan pembuatan handsanitizer secara mandiri, dan pembagian handsanitizer kepada warga. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu 100 warga paham pentingnya penggunaan mendapatkan handsanitizer, selain itu warga mendapatkan handsanitizer dari proses pelatihan. Dengan demikian, masyarakat sekitar pada akhirnya dapat menggunakan handsanitizer pada saat keluar rumah. Kata kunci: covid-19; handsanitizer; bahan alami. ABSTRACTThe wide-spread of COVID-19 has confiscates the world community’s attention, Indonesia, too. Covid-19 is a disease of infected respiration which can be transmitted through coughs and sneezes. The aims of the Community Service Activity are to educate people about the importance of using a hand-sanitizer, and to provide knowledge on that hand sanitizers can be produced by using natural materials in the environments. This service activity was carried out in Taman Seruni, Taman Sari Village, Ampenan sub-district, Mataram. The method of the community service consists of two stages,the first stage was socialization about how important to using handsanitizer and how to make independently hand-sanitizers as well as distributing hand-sanitizers to people of Taman Seruni. The result was that 100 residents know the importance of using hand sanitizer,beside the residents get a hand-sanitizer from the training process. Thus, they can use hand-sanitizers when they leave the house. Keywords: covid-19; hand-sanitizer; natural materials

Abstract

Household waste is the main source of waste accumulation, both organic waste and inorganic waste. The size and lifestyle of each household can be used as a reflection of the amount of waste produced. Waste will increase if it is not processed and of course it will cause risks such as disease and strong odors. Until now, the waste problem has not been resolved properly, therefore, in this mentoring activity, outreach and application of one product from household organic waste, namely eco-enzyme, is carried out. The method of assistance is through counseling and practicing how to apply eco-enzymes so that people can utilize and apply eco-enzymes well. The results of mentoring activities show that the activity was welcomed enthusiastically by the community from the start of the activity to the end. Furthermore, after the extension activities, the implementing team succeeded in assisting the community to be able to apply good eco enzymes in this case to garden plants. The evaluation results showed an increase in knowledge of 75% and skills of 65%.

Abstract

Waste is a by-product of all activities carried out while on campus, both in the form of organic and non-organic waste. High volume waste can be a problem for the environment so it needs to be managed properly. The purpose of this mentoring activity is to equip the cleaning staff so that waste in the University of Muhammadiyah Mataram (UMMAT) can be managed into organic fertilizer and ecobricks. There are three methods of mentoring, namely socialization, training, and evaluation. The socialization was carried out to provide an overview to participants regarding waste processing technology. Meanwhile, the training is to prove that the theoretical ability of partners from socialization can be applied to training and evaluation is carried out to see the level of success of mentoring activities. After the mentoring activities were carried out, it was proven that the knowledge of partners had increased and the waste within the Muhammadiyah University of Mataram was able to be managed slowly in the manufacture of organic fertilizers and echobrick.

Abstract

Lahan pekarangan adalah sebidang tanah darat yang terletak langsung di sekitar rumah tinggal dan memiliki batas, yang dapat ditanami dengan satu atau berbagai jenis tanaman. Perkarangan adalah bidang tanah yang masih mempunyai hubungan kepemilikan dan fungsional dengan rumah yang bersangkutan. Dusun Bebidas merupakan salah satu Desa di Pagesangan Kecamatan Mataram. Jumlah penduduk di Kecamatan Mataram sebanyak 67.659 jiwa yang sebagian warganya bermata pencarian sebagai petani. Maksud dan tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan bagaimana cara mengelola sampah organik dari persiapan media hingga aplikasi pupuk organik dan cara memanfaatkan limbah disekitar lingkungan sebagai wadah tanaman secara baik dan benar sehingga lahan perkarangan dapat dimanfaatkan secara maksimal. Kesimpulan yang didapatkan dari permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh warga masyarakat Bebidas adalah melakukan pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan dengan budi daya tanaman yang dapat memberikan sumber pendapatan bagi keluarga dengan memanfaatkan limbah organik sebagai pupuk.

Abstract

Free MUI Halal Certification (SEHATI) is one of the government's programmes to increase the amount of halal-labelled MSME products that can be exported to Muslim countries around the world. The SEHATI programme has been implemented since March 2022 and will be intensified in 2023 to achieve the target of 10 million halal certificates in 2024. One of the obstacles in the implementation of the SEHATI programme is the lack of socialisation, especially in the regions, so there are still many MSEs that have not been touched by this programme, for example in NTB. Therefore, the purpose of this service activity is to socialise the importance of Halal labelling on MSE products and to assist partners in applying for MUI Halal certification through the SEHATI programme. The stages of this activity are: initial data collection from MSEs, socialisation activities (counselling on the urgency of halal certification) and assistance in applying for halal certification of partner MSE products. Apart from the lack of knowledge of the partner members in terms of online administration, the main obstacle we face is the large number of MSEs that only use PDAM water (not yet halal certified) as a means of washing or production, so that only 5 MSEs out of a total of 15 MSEs supported by this service programme can obtain halal certificates.

Abstract

Pada pembuatan dendeng, penambahan gula memberikan rasa manis yang dapat menambah kelezatan dan juga dapat menurunkan kadar air produk serta dapat menambah daya tahan bahan terhadap kerusakan mikroorganisme. Penelitian ini bertujuan Untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan gula merah terhadap sifat kimia dan Organoleptik dendeng ikan lemuru. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimental. Rncangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap ( RAL ) dengan perlakuan satu faktor yaitu penambahan gula merah. Masing-Masing perlakuan membutuhkan berat sampel (ikan lemuru) sebanyak 250 gram. Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis dengan  analisis keragaman(Analysis of variance) pada taraf nyata 5 % dan diuji lanjut dengan uji Beda Nyata Jujur (BNJ) pada taraf nyata yang sama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Penambahan gula merah berpengaruh secara nyata terhadap semua parameter sifat kimia yang diamati yaitu kadar air, kadar protein, dan kadar gula reduksi dan sifat argonoleptik parameter warna, dan aroma, tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter tekstur dan rasa dendeng ikan lemuru yang diamati. Semakin tinggi penambahan gula merah yang digunakan maka kadar air, kadar kadar proteinnya dan kadar gula reduksi semakin tinggi. Semakin tinggi penambahan gula merah yang digunakan maka skor nilai warna, aroma, rasa dan tekstur cenderung semakin meningkat namun disukai oleh panelis. Perlakuan yang paling disukai oleh panelis yaitu pada perlakuan kelima dengan penambahan gula merah 10%.

Abstract

Simple Drip Irrigation is automatic and cheap plant watering. Simple Drip Irrigation is a plant watering technique that uses a water reservoir or water reservoir can be a used bottle that is given a channel to drip the planting media little by little constantly, so that the planting media remains fulfilled its water needs, without becoming muddy and the water supply remains sufficient. This study aims to determine the water efficiency by using drip irrigation method on the growth of lettuce plants. The method used in this research is an experimental method using a Randomised Group Design (RAK) consisting of 3 treatments, namely 3 replications so as to obtain 12 experimental units, first P1 = 300ml water application, second P2 = 200ml water application, and P3 = 100ml water application and analysed using analysis of variance (Anova) at a real level of 5% and if there is a treatment that has a real effect then a test is carried out using the honest real difference test (BNJ) at a real level of 5%. The results of field research conducted by researchers that the provision of drip irrigation has no significant effect on the parameters of plant height, dry trimmed weight, stem diameter, soil texture but significantly different on wet trimmed weight and for the best treatment obtained in the P2 treatment which produces the highest wet trimmed weight of 93 grams.

Abstract

Dry land is productive land that can operate all year round, but with minimal water availability it is one of the obstacles for chili farmers. Therefore, the right solution for this problem is by applying drip irrigation techniques. The purpose of this research was to design and test the performance of the design on chili cultivation in dry land. This study used an experimental method with a direct experimental design on community agricultural land, by making 3 treatment groups, namely P1: surface drip irrigation, P2: subsurface drip irrigation, and P3: open channel irrigation. In this study, the parameters to be studied were designing and conducting performance tests on emitter discharge, water drop uniformity, and wetted areas. The results showed that the drip irrigation design consisted of several components, including primary reservoirs, secondary reservoirs, emitters and pressure regulators. The results of the performance test of the drip irrigation technique design can be said to be feasible to apply based on the discharge value and the drop uniformity coefficient, and the growth of chili plants, both with subsurface and above-surface drip irrigation techniques, does not have a significant effect. So it can be concluded that the method of providing water with subsurface and above-surface irrigation is both said to be effective and efficient

Abstract

Community service activities through Field Study and Community Service (KKN) program on the urgency of the role of environmental health in preventing dengue fever in children in Pasie Lamgarot village aim to increase understanding and awareness of the community, especially parents and communities, about the importance of maintaining environmental hygiene to prevent the development of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes that cause dengue fever. This activity is in line with the Tri Dharma of higher education and provides students with learning and working experience through community socialization activities in Pasie Lamgarot village, Ingin Jaya District, Aceh Besar Regency, Aceh Province. So that it can be utilized as a potential to develop and provide new knowledge to the community in Pasie Lamgarot Village, Ingin Jaya District, Aceh Besar Regency, Aceh Province. The target group together with KKN students accompanied by field supervisors carry out activities (KKN) together. The socialization activity carried out is the literacy of the urgency of the role of environmental health in preventing dengue fever in children in Pasie Lamgarot Village. The results of community service activities through the KKN program have increased community understanding which is expected to create a healthier environment and minimize the incidence of dengue fever in children in Pasie Lamgarot Village.

Abstract

Telah dilaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Desa Gondang, Kecamatan Gangga, Kabupaten Lombok Utara, Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. Mitra dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah para pelaku UMKM yang tergabung dalam Koperasi Wanita (Kopwan) 'Aisyiyyah Lombok Utara. Tahapan pelaksanaan pengabdian terdiri dari dua kegiatan utama, yaitu kegiatan penyuluhan dengan tema “Pentingnya Literasi Pembukuan Bagi Pelaku UMKM” dan pelatihan pembukuan sederhana, dimana para mitra secara langsung didampingi untuk mengisi buku kas sebagai salah satu unsur pembukuan sederhana. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh perwakilan dari 14 UMKM yang merupakan anggota aktif Kopwan 'Aisyiyyah Lombok Utara. Hasil dari kegiatan ini, mitra memahami pentingnya pembukuan bagi pelaku UMKM, jenis-jenis pembukuan sederhana, dan mampu mengisi buku kas secara mandiri yang dibagikan kepada mitra secara gratis. Saran untuk kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat selanjutnya antara lain melatih mitra dalam pemasaran digital agar penjualan produk mitra dapat diperluas ke tingkat nasional bahkan internasional.
