Abstract

Interpersonal communication is an important thing that cannot be separated from the process of life both in the residential environment and the school environment. Low interpersonal communication will affect the difficulty in establishing relationships as social beings. This study is intended to improve interpersonal communication with group guidance using role-playing techniques. This study is a classroom action research using the purposive sampling method, the sample used was 35 students in class X PSPT 1. The focus of this study is on interpersonal communication of students at SMK N 1 Surabaya. Data collection through observation, interviews, and interpersonal communication scales, while data analysis uses graphic visual analysis techniques. The results of the study showed that before the service was given, there were 20% of students who had low interpersonal communication, 65.71% were moderate and 14.29% were high. After being given service intervention, there was an increase in the strength of interpersonal communication, this was evidenced by the results of the post-test at the end of the cycle, the number of students with low interpersonal communication decreased drastically to 2.86%, while students with moderate interpersonal communication increased to 37.14%, and the high category increased to 60%. Role-playing techniques have been proven effective in improving students' interpersonal communication skills, helping them interact better with peers, teachers, and the school environment

Abstract

This study aims to assess the level of self-efficacy among students at SMPN 9 Blitar. This study uses a self-efficacy measurement scale developed by the researcher. The research sample, consisting of 79 students, was selected through purposive random sampling. The data analysis method used descriptive statistics using SPSS. The scale used in this study is the self-efficacy scale. The results indicated that 75 students were in the high self-efficacy category, while 4 students were in the moderate self-efficacy category. These findings can assist counselors in designing effective guidance and counseling programs to help students at SMPN 9 Blitar achieve their developmental tasks optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using cinematherapy in group counseling services to improve career planning among 11th-grade students at SMA Dharma Wanita 4 Taman. The background of the research is the students' lack of self-awareness and clear career goals, as well as the limited impact of conventional counseling services in addressing affective and reflective aspects. The study employed a pre-experimental one-group pre-test post-test design with a purposive sample of four students. The treatment was delivered through five group counseling sessions utilizing educational films with career-related messages, such as Monster University and Kung Fu Panda 3. The instrument used was a career planning scale based on three aspects: self-knowledge, attitude, and skills. Data analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test showed an increase in scores, although the results were not statistically significant (p = 0.125). Nevertheless, practical improvements were observed in the participants’ self-understanding and career direction. These findings suggest that cinematherapy holds promise as an innovative approach in school-based career guidance services, especially in fostering emotional reflection, enhancing self-efficacy, and strengthening students’ career orientation

Abstract

Kreativitas mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan program layanan BK dibutuhkan agar mereka dapat menyesuaikan diri dengan tuntutan perubahan situasi pembelajaran, Metodelogi, dan pola belajar siswa yang semakin baru dan kekinian. Namun seringkali mahasiswa mengeluhkan kesulitan untuk menemukan ide kreatif berkenaan dengan program yang akan dikembangkan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hambatan yang dirasakan mahasiswa dalam berkreativitas, sehingga dapat menjadi acuan dalam pegembangan strategi perkuliahan selanjutnya. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, dengan memberikan angket kepada 51 orang sampel penelitian, jawaban pada setiap indikator dipersentasekan kemudian dibandingkan presentase terbesar yang menunjukkan hambatan mahasiswa dalam berkreativitas Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mahasiswa kurang senang dalam berkreativitas dan merasa tidak yakin dengan ide kreatif yang dimiliki. Faktor budaya yang tidak terbiasa bebas berkespresi diperkirakan yang menjadikan hambatan tersebut ada. Oleh karena itu proses pembelajaran yang harus diterapkan adalah menstimulasi mahasiswa untuk bebas mengekspresikan pemikirannya, contohnya dengan banyak melakukan brainstorming.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a phenomenon that is currently happening, namely the COVID-19 pandemic which requires quarantine and self-isolation so that it affects a person being exposed to cabin fever. Cabin fever is an emotion or sad feeling that arises as a result of prolonged isolation in the home or certain places. The method used was quantitative with the pre-experimental research design. The design form used was the pretest-posttest one-group design. Data analysis using non-parametric statistics, namely Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test by SPSS for windows version 24.0. The results of this study can be concluded that there was an increase before receiving treatment that is 40 while after receiving treatment decreased to 29. Thus, there was a decrease of 27.5% so it can be concluded that the guidance of the effective group to reduce cabin fever in students’ guidance and counseling class 2017 Adi Buana University.

Abstract

The phenomenon that occurred in March was Covid-19 Pandemic. It requires all activities at home, including the world of lectures. The lectures are currently conducted online, bringing up many obstacles and complaints felt by students, among them excessive demands for assignments, delayed practice, difficulty in understanding and digesting materials, difficulty with website access, signals that must be stable, related to single tuition payments, and internet quotas, so it can make students become stressed, or what is commonly called academic stress. Academic stress is a pressure experienced by individuals related to academic demands, affecting physical, emotional, behavioral, and cognitive conditions. This study aims to find out the academic stress experienced by students in online lectures. This study represents a qualitative, descriptive type of research approach. The instruments used were questionnaires and interviews. The sample in this study amounted to 98 students. The data analysis techniques are data reduction, presentation, and conclusion withdrawal. The results of this study can be inferred that the 2018 Army Students at X University course online experience academic stress with categories high 37 students, medium 60 students, and low 1 student. Therefore, students are expected to be able to control and adjust to online lectures to minimize academic stress.

Abstract

Creativity is an important aspect for every individual and should be developed from an early age. The development of creativity in children can be done by facilitating the use of creative media. This study aims to develop children's creativity by using art therapy in the guidance program. Art therapy in this guidance program is useful in increasing children's creativity through the process in producing a work. The approach used in this study is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design method. This study carried out the steps from the preliminary study, compiling a hypothetical program based on the preliminary study, revising the program, conducting experiments that were carried out for five treatments, and then data organization and data analysis were carried out using the Wilcoxon test. Based on the results of data analysis tests using SPSS 26 software, it was found that the implementation of art therapy in the guidance program was effective in increasing the creativity of playgroup students.

Abstract

Academic procrastination remains a major challenge for high school students as it often decreases learning achievement and weakens academic responsibility. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of group counseling using the self-management technique in reducing students’ academic procrastination, and the results indicated a significant decrease from the high to the moderate category after six treatment sessions. The research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one group pretest–posttest design involving five tenth-grade students with high levels of procrastination. The instrument used was a Likert-type academic procrastination scale, and data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The analysis revealed a significance value of 0.041 < 0.05, confirming that the hypothesis was accepted. These findings demonstrate that the self-management technique is effective in helping students regulate themselves, improve awareness, and build academic responsibility. Nevertheless, limitations related to sample size, absence of a control group, and short treatment duration suggest the need for further studies with stronger designs.
