Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Aisyiyah in women's empowerment in Bandar Lampung City from 1971-2000. The method used in this study is the historical method, which includes the stages of heuristics (source collection), source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The study results show that Aisyiyah plays an active role in women's empowerment through various programs. In the field of education, Aisyiyah established kindergartens (TK) as part of efforts to educate the younger generation. In the social aspect, this organization initiated the Aisyiyah Foster Children program, the "Aisyiyah Building the People with Social Justice" training, and the Aisyiyah Sakinah Family program. Meanwhile, in the economic sector, Aisyiyah developed the Aisyiyah Family Economic Development (BUEKA) to increase women's financial independence. In the health sector, Aisyiyah carries out Maternal Health and Child Survival (KIKHA) training as well as infectious disease and AIDS prevention programs in Bandar Lampung. This research reveals that the success of Aisyiyah not only lies in innovation in da'wah methods but also in its ability to adapt to social dynamics without leaving Islamic values. This finding makes an important contribution to understanding Islamic da'wah strategies at the local level as well as the strategic role of Aisyiyah in women's empowerment.

Abstract

This study aims to trace the historical roots and developmental dynamics of the Arabic language through a systematic literature review approach. The method involves collecting and analyzing data from a wide range of classical and contemporary sources, which are thematically categorized into three developmental phases: pre-classical, classical, and modern. The findings reveal that the evolution of Arabic has been shaped by multiple factors, including political expansion, cultural transmission, educational developments, and the central role of religion, particularly within the context of Islam. Moreover, the Arabic language demonstrates a remarkable capacity to adapt to modern challenges while retaining its linguistic identity. These insights contribute to a deeper understanding of Arabic’s historical trajectory and the external forces influencing its transformation, offering valuable implications for Arabic linguistic studies and the preservation of Semitic language heritage.

Abstract

Pada era Orde Baru, pemerintah Indonesia menerapkan kebijakan pelarangan jilbab di sekolah-sekolah negeri, yang menimbulkan kontroversi di kalangan umat Islam. Kebijakan ini mencerminkan karakter rezim Orde Baru yang cenderung mengontrol ekspresi keagamaan di ruang publik sebagai bagian dari upaya menjaga stabilitas politik dan nasionalisme sekuler. Dalam konteks sejarah, respons organisasi-organisasi Islam terhadap kebijakan ini merupakan aspek penting dalam memahami dinamika hubungan antara negara dan agama di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sikap dan strategi Muhammadiyah dalam menghadapi kebijakan pelarangan jilbab pada era Orde Baru. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian sejarah, studi ini menggali sumber-sumber primer dan sekunder, termasuk dokumen organisasi, kebijakan pemerintah, serta berbagai pernyataan dan tindakan Muhammadiyah dalam merespons kebijakan tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Muhammadiyah mengambil sikap akomodatif dalam menghadapi kebijakan tersebut dengan melakukan berbagai langkah strategis. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan adalah mengadakan rapat internal untuk merumuskan langkah konkret dalam merespons kebijakan pemerintah. Selain itu, Muhammadiyah juga melakukan konsolidasi dengan berbagai pihak terkait, termasuk kementerian dan lembaga negara, untuk memperjuangkan hak masyarakat dalam menjalankan ajaran agama. Lebih lanjut, Muhammadiyah juga berperan dalam memberikan perlindungan kepada siswi yang mengalami diskriminasi akibat mengenakan jilbab. Hal ini diwujudkan dengan menerima mereka di sekolah-sekolah Muhammadiyah, sehingga mereka tetap dapat mengakses pendidikan yang berlandaskan nilai-nilai Islam. Langkah-langkah ini mencerminkan komitmen Muhammadiyah dalam memperjuangkan kebebasan beragama serta menjaga eksistensinya sebagai organisasi Islam yang aktif dalam membela hak-hak umat Islam di tengah kebijakan pemerintah yang represif.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of interpersonal communication among librarians in supporting the successful preparation of accreditation at the Central Library of Universitas Islam Negeri Raden Intan Lampung. Interpersonal communication is considered a crucial factor in creating effective coordination, accelerating document preparation, and fostering solid teamwork among librarians. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing data collection methods such as direct observation, in-depth interviews with librarians, and documentation review related to the accreditation process. Data analysis is conducted descriptively to provide a detailed depiction of communication dynamics, encountered obstacles, and strategies implemented by librarians during the accreditation preparation. The findings reveal that effective interpersonal communication significantly contributes to smooth coordination and synergy among librarians, despite challenges such as differences in communication styles and limited time availability. The use of digital communication technologies and interpersonal skills training emerge as important solutions to overcome these barriers. This study concludes that strengthening interpersonal communication is a key factor in the success of accreditation preparation and in enhancing the overall quality of library services. These findings provide a foundation for developing communication management and human resource training in academic libraries moving forward. This paper specifically highlights the role of librarian interpersonal communication in the context of library accreditation preparation, including its relation to teamwork dynamics and user perceptions.

Abstract

Communication is essential in studying Arabic as a foreign language to make the lesson interactive. This research aimed to identify and assess three aspects. First, the Teacher Talk (TT) interaction feature appeared in the Arabic Education Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, Raden Intan State Islamic University of Lampung. Second, each lecturer's primary type of TT interaction element. Third, the utilization of code-switching as a component of bilingual learning interactions. This research was a case study of three Arabic lecturers (T1, T2, and T3) who used Google Meets to conduct online learning. Each lecturer was videotaped three times and then examined using Miles and Huberman's qualitative approach. The findings of the L2 investigation demonstrate that 1) T1 produced twelve different types of interaction features. Furthermore, T2 produced eleven different types of interaction features. Finally, T3 produced twelve different types of interaction features. 2) The most dominant TT interaction features in the classrooms by T1 was Scaffolding (18.2 percent), T2 was Display Questions (24.6 percent), and T3 was Confirmation Check (23.1 percent). 3) In the context of bilingual classes, this study also found that L2 lecturers used other interaction features to facilitate interaction, namely code-switching from Arabic (L2) to Indonesian (L1) and vice versa. The total occurrence of code-switching by T1 was 9.1 percent (the least), code-switching by T2 was 27.3 percent, and code-switching by T3 was 63.6 percent (the most dominant). Code-switching can be an excellent alternate approach or interaction tool for facilitating communication in the classroom when learning Arabic; nevertheless, it must be used appropriately and proportionally.

Abstract

This research discusses the factors of the archival readiness and describes the e-archive system tailor-fit by the faculty of Tarbiyah and Teaching Science (FTK) UIN Raden Intan Lampung. The goal is to know the notes in opening historical records of the past, that is learned today, and become future learning. Also as securing archives: 1) either from damage or loss (safe); 2) The archive is easily rediscovered. The research is a qualitative description of the researches using data collection methods through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study are: 1) can advance the effectiveness of the management of archives to implement an e-archive system, namely, the example is using Microsoft Acces, and 2) This E-archive has computer-based archival management and has the database system that can be accessed any time. Therefore, the important thing about the competent role of Archivists is qualified in the field. In addition, the archival and team are able to cooperate in archives management and are committed to developing the management of the archives maximumly.

Abstract

As an institution, a library is charged with providing information in the form of books or collections that readers need. In addition to being a place of inguiry, they can also establish an interpersonal communication between officers and those who visit the library. In advanced development, libraries must also update the various connected elements within the library. Additionally, libraries should provide standardized services to support libraries. Bleaching services at the library can provide access for visitors to information, and the implementation of this services also involves interpersonal communication. Interpersonal communicationbetween visitors and the library can be applied through the update service counseling model. So with the update service counseling model, the library can khow which needs to be met in libraries and visitors can also find relevant information.

Abstract

This study investigates the Arabic linguistic landscape in Islamic universities across West Sumatra by examining its writing patterns, strategies, and related pedagogical practices. Employing a mixed-methods approach with an exploratory sequential design grounded in Creswell’s framework, the research found that bottom-up patterns dominate text production, while the most frequently used strategy is Fragmentary Multilingual Writing. This strategy involves combining Arabic with other languages without complete translation, reflecting a natural yet underutilized linguistic environment in structured pedagogical contexts. Most respondents acknowledged that the presence of Arabic texts in campus public spaces contributes positively to the development of a rich linguistic environment (bi’ah lughawiyah) and can serve as an effective medium for Arabic language instruction. Practically, the findings provide strategic direction for institutions to manage the linguistic landscape as an authentic learning tool and a foundation for institutional language policy. Theoretically, the study broadens the scope of Arabic as a Foreign Language (AFL) research by highlighting the role of multilingual signage within formal Islamic university contexts as part of a dynamic and integrated learning ecosystem.

Abstract

Since their arrival in Indonesia, Pattani Malay students have played a pivotal role in fostering solidarity, strengthening Islamic identity, and expanding intellectual networks. One significant outcome of this dynamic was the establishment of the Association of Pattani Malay Students in Indonesia in Lampung, in 2009. Despite its importance, research on this organization remains limited, with most studies focusing on the broader history of the Pattani student diaspora in Indonesia rather than examining the continuity, transformation, and challenges of PMMPI in the specific local context of Lampung. This study adopts the historical method, comprising four stages: heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Data were collected from organizational documents, activity archives, relevant literature, and interviews with core leaders spanning the period from 2012 to 2024. The findings indicate that PMMPI has sustained its continuity through systematic cadre regeneration and the affirmation of Islamic values as the foundation of identity. Organizational changes have occurred in terms of structure, nomenclature, and strategic orientation, demonstrating adaptability to social, political, and academic dynamics. At the same time, the organization has faced persistent challenges, including language barriers, social integration, and global crises such as the Covid-19 pandemic. Overall, the study underscores that PMMPI functions not merely as a student association, but also as an agent of identity formation, solidarity, and adaptation for Pattani students in Indonesia. The implications highlight the need for further exploration of the role of diaspora organizations in reinforcing religious, national, and academic ties within the context of globalization.

Abstract

ملخص: أجري هذا البحث لتحليل تطبيق نموذج التعلم التعاوني المتكامل في القراءة والتعبير (CIRC) في تحسين مهارات القراءة باللغة العربية باستخدام الوسائط القائمة على برنامج Power Point لدى طلاب الصف الحادي عشر IPS 2 في المدرسة العالية معارف كيبوتران برينغسيوو. الهدف من هذا البحث هو وصف تطبيق وفعالية نموذج التعلم التعاوني المتكامل في القراءة والتعبير (CIRC) في تعلم اللغة العربية. هذا البحث هو بحث إجرائي في الفصل الدراسي (Classroom Action Research) مع منهج نوعي. بناءً على التحليل الذي تم إجراؤه، تظهر نتائج البحث أن تعلم اللغة العربية باستخدام نموذج التعلم التعاوني المتكامل في القراءة والتعبير (CIRC) يمكن أن يحسن مهارات القراءة لدى الطلاب. ويمكن ملاحظة ذلك من خلال التحصيل التعليمي الذي ارتفع إلى 77.6% في الدورة الأولى و88.8% في الدورة الثانية. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، زاد الحماس لتعلم اللغة العربية وتزايد تعاون الطلاب والتفكير النقدي. الكلمات الرئيسية: اللغة العربية، CIRC، مهارة القراءة Abstract: This study aimed to examine the implementation of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model in enhancing Arabic reading skills among students of class XI IPS 2 at senior high school Ma'arif Keputran Pringsewu, utilizing PowerPoint-based media. The objective was to delineate the application and efficacy of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model in Arabic language instruction. Employing a qualitative approach, this research adopted a classroom action research (CAR) methodology. The analysis revealed that employing the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model in Arabic language instruction resulted in improved reading skills among students. This improvement was evidenced by learning achievements, which increased to 77.6% in cycle 1 and further to 88.8% in cycle 2. Furthermore, there was an observed increase in students' enthusiasm for learning Arabic, collaboration, and critical thinking skills. Key words: Arabic, CIRC, reading skills Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis penerapan model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) dalam meningkatkan kemahiran membaca bahasa Arab dengan menggunakan media berbasis power point pada siswa kelas XI IPS 2 MA Ma’arif Keputran Pringsewu. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan penerapan dan efektivitas model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research) dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran bahasa Arab dengan model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca siswa. Hal ini terlihat dari prestasi belajar yang meningkat menjadi 77,6% pada siklus 1 dan 88,8% pada siklus 2. Selain itu, semangat belajar bahasa Arab, kerjasama siswa dan berpikir kritis meningkat.
