This study aims to explore the background of the implementation of local transmigration policies in Lampung. Lampung area that has been since the colonial era has become a destination for population displacement called colonization, continues to experience an increase in the number of residents until the beginning of the independence period. The existence of a self-initiated transmigration policy caused Lampung to experience a surge in the population. The result of the analysis of this study is that the impact of population transfer to Lampung until the 1950s is getting out of control. Seen from the increasing number of forests cut down by the migrants. Another problem arises with the gathering of the community from Java. Many areas in Lampung later like to become a Colony of Java, such as Gading Rejo, Pringsewu, Kalirejo and Metro. On the other hand, the northern part of Lampung is not touched once. The unrest of the natives ulun Lampung was also contained in the customary congress in Palembang who wanted to organize Lampung with a local migration program. Starting from the 1970s, Lampung Tranmigrasi began to display results in the 1990s where the northern Lampung region began to show development. In central and southern Lampung which was dominated by agriculture, in northern Lampung began to grow community plantations. Besides, other businesses such as trade and transportation were more stretched in Lampung in the 1990s.

Yasinan is an Islamic tradition in the archipelago which is an attempt to introduce Islamic culture (Islam and culture) that is unique to Indonesia. Yasinan is also a religious literacy that increases the knowledge of Muslims about the holy book al-Qur'an by reading it and writing it. Muslims are always reminded of the importance of literacy in various letters including Surah Al-Alaq verses 1-3 and Surah Al-Isra 'verse 14. This tradition is a medium for the welfare of the community and as a means of giving charity. This tradition is also a means of gathering among community members so that all information about the local environment is conveyed by the head of the RT after the yasinan series is carried out. In addition, Yasinan can also be seen as the glue of social relations between residents, when participating in the Yasinan event, residents who did not know each other yesterday will become acquainted. The Yasinan event can strengthen the relationship between fellow residents, especially neighbors and the surrounding community. In addition, the participation of residents in participating in the Yasinan event can foster a sense of empathy and sympathy for the community to share what is felt by the people who hold the Yasinan event. In preparation for serving food, the women and men work together to make dishes that have been financed by the host who has an intention.

Munawatul Khair Arabic School is one of the madrasah that played pivotal role in the history of Islamic education in Lampung during 1930-1950. This madrasah began in Tanjung Agugn, Bengkulu in 1925, founded by K.H. Hosen bin Abd Syukur. The madrasah is centered in Tanjung Karang, Bandar Lampung in 1930. This study is a form of literature research using historical and philosophical approach. The data source was collected from primary and secondary data. Primary data of this study is based on the records of the madrasah. While secondary data was similar researches from other researchers. This research used historical method, (1) Heuristic: data collection from primary and secondary data, (2) Criticism source, related criticism given internally or externally, (3) Interpretation involves combining various data sources to interpret a study, (4) Historiography, the historian’s endeavor to reconstruct a history by writing it into a research. The result of this study aims to enrich the value of education history, especially Islamic education in Lampung, focusing on the significant role of Madrasah Munawatul Khair Arabic School as a leading institutionof its time. Little history is yet to be discovered regarding education in Lampung, specifically detailing the development of education in Lampung. The establishment of Munawatul Khair Arabic School in Lampung and Bengkulu provided Islamic education for the indigenous people of Indonesia. This action was particularly significant given the limited access to Islamic education during the colonial and post-colonial eras. While little impact this madrasah had provided globally, its influence was felt locally, especially among marginalized communities who had limited access to government-run schools during that period.

The Terbanggi Besar area in Central Lampung has developed despite having three different community groups. These three communities are the indigenous Lampung people, migrants from Java Island, and migrants from Bali Island. Bandar Jaya Market has become the main meeting point for harmonious interaction among these three communities as a manifestation of religious moderation. This study will explore the genealogy of the practice of religious moderation among these communities using historical research methods. The findings of this study indicate that the life philosophy of these three communities is the root of religious moderation practices. The harmonious social relationships between the indigenous Lampung people, Javanese, and Balinese migrants have contributed to a more advanced economy in Terbanggi Besar compared to other areas in Central Lampung. Cultural acculturation also occurs due to the openness factor rooted in the life philosophy of each community—Lampung, Javanese, and Balinese.

Islamization is an important part of the long history of the land under the wind of the archipelago. This incident has become a turning point for various social changes in the archipelago. Lombard called this the emergence of a new society, while Ricklefs called it the emergence of the modern age. This article will explain about the drivers of Islamization who have had a major influence on the growth of a new, modern society from the 13th to 19th centuries. This study focuses on discussing the drivers of Islamization both on the coast and in the interior, along with the characteristics of the movements and the roles they were given. The data used are in the form of books as well as those published from various sources which the author then arranges chronologically in the form of historical stories (historiography). The results of this study are that Islamization is carried out through two main drivers who have roles in their respective places, namely in the coast and inland.
