Abstract

This study intends to determine the effect of image media on the reading interest of Class II students of public elementary schools. The research method used is quantitative research with a descriptive approach by experimental method. The research sample consisted of 30 class II students of public elementary school Tabaringan 5 Makassar. We obtained data from the study using questionnaires, specifically pretests and posttests. Data analysis uses normality analysis and hypothesis testing. We used the t-test to independently determine the significance of the independent variable (X) on the dependent variable (Y). The findings showed an increase in the average value from the pretest of 60.50 to 77.50 in the posttest after the use of image media. Additionally, regression analysis and hypothesis testing showed that image media had a positive and significant influence on students' reading interest, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.687. This study proves that the use of image media can significantly increase students' reading interest. Image media has proven to be effective as a learning aid in fostering students' motivation and interest in reading activities in lower grades.

Abstract

The digital literacy-based Reciprocal Teaching learning model is a learning model consisting of the process of teaching material to its peers. This learning model d a pat merangs a ng pupil untuk belaj a r m a ndiri, creatiive and more active dalamcarry out proses teaching and learning. The Digital Literacy-based Reciprocal Teaching model establishes four st a rtegi pemahaman Mandiri, namely summarizing the material, making questions and solving them. The research design used is a pretesst-possttest control group design, designed this combination of experiments or combined controls selected according to random. This research was conducted at SD Negeri Parang Tambung 1 Makassar City which is located at Jalan Daeng Tata No.80 Parang Tambung, Tamalate District, Makassar City, South Sulawesi Province. This research was conducted during the odd semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. The initial research variable is the whole thing that is of any form that is determined by the author to be studied so that information about it is obtained. The variables in this study are free variables and bound variables. The free variable in this study is the Digital Literacy-based Reciprocal Teaching model which is referred to as X. Bound variables in this study are the learning outcomes of students in lessons Indonesian SDN Parang Tambung 1 which is referred to as Y. The population in this study is the total class VI students of SDN Parang Tambung 1 Makassar City which consists of 2 classes totalling 40 students. In this study, the sample taken was 36 students with a population of 40 students based on Isaac and Michael's table for a signification level of 0.05, so the sample obtained had a 38% confidence level in the population. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, documentation, and tests. Based on the results of the research that has been described, it can be seen that the digital literacy-based Reciprocal Teaching learning model on Indonesian learning outcomes at SD Makassar City has an effect. It is based on the results of the hypothesis formulation obtained 0.04 so that the sig value. (2 tailed) < 0.05, it is known that there is a significant influence between the learning outcomes of the experimental group and the control group.

Abstract

Stunting merupakan masalah kesehatan global yang memengaruhi jutaan anak di seluruh dunia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki hubungan antara stimulasi psikososial, faktor ibu, dan asuhan anak dengan perkembangan kognitif, bahasa, dan motorik anak yang mengalami stunting. Melalui tinjauan literatur, artikel ini menganalisis berbagai studi terkait untuk memahami dampak faktor-faktor tersebut terhadap perkembangan anak yang mengalami stunting. Hasil tinjauan literatur menunjukkan bahwa stimulasi psikososial yang layak, dukungan ibu yang baik, dan asuhan anak yang berkualitas dapat memainkan peran penting dalam meningkatkan perkembangan kognitif, bahasa, dan motorik anak stunting. Faktor-faktor lain seperti pendidikan ibu, status sosioekonomi keluarga, serta akses terhadap pelayanan kesehatan juga memiliki kontribusi yang signifikan. Memahami faktor-faktor ini dapat membantu dalam merancang intervensi yang tepat untuk meningkatkan perkembangan anak yang mengalami stunting. Penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk mendalami hubungan antara variabel-variabel tersebut dan mengevaluasi efektivitas berbagai intervensi dalam meningkatkan hasil kesehatan anak yang terkena stunting.

Abstract

The background of the research is the low academic achievement of students; only 37.03% of 27 students achieved the minimum completion criteria in the preliminary study. Therefore, this study examines the application of a time-based learning-type cooperative learning model assisted by media boxes to improve the learning outcomes of social studies/IPAS of elementary school. This study uses classroom action research with the Kemmis and McTaggart model research design. This research was conducted with grade V students at 108 Moncongloe Home Base. This research used observation, tests, and documentation instruments. The results of the analysis showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes after applying the model using media boxes. This can be seen in the increase in the average score of student learning outcomes from cycle I, which is 56.14%, to cycle II, which is 77.62%. Thus, a time-based learning-type cooperative learning model assisted by media boxes can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Literacy is a fundamental skill that forms the foundation for all learning processes in elementary schools. This community service activity aims to improve elementary school teachers' competence in applying innovative techniques in reading and writing instruction through systematic and comprehensive training. The method used is participatory training with an andragogic approach that includes interactive workshops, teaching practice simulations, group discussions, and continuous mentoring. The activity was carried out for four months involving 20 elementary school teachers from Biringkanaya District, Makassar. The instruments used included teacher competency tests in literacy, teaching practice observation sheets, and program evaluation questionnaires. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in teacher competence by 82.3% from pre-test to post-test scores. Teachers' ability to design innovative literacy learning increased from 58.7% to 91.4%. The application of creative reading and writing techniques also experienced substantial improvement from 62.1% to 88.9%. This activity has a positive impact on the quality of literacy learning in elementary schools in Biringkanaya District and can be a replication model for other similar schools.
