Abstract

Introduction: According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO), stunting is the highest prevalence in the Southeast Asia region (SEAR), one of which is Indonesia. Efforts to prevent stunting start from preconception, by providing knowledge and understanding regarding fulfilling nutritional intake before pregnancy. Objective: This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of using animated videos on the knowledge of prospective brides and grooms in efforts to prevent stunting in, Darmaraja District, Sumedang Regency. Method: The research method is quantitative with a quasi-experiment in the form of a pretest and posttest design. The sample consisted of 102 people. Consecutive sampling research. Research in September-November 2023. Data analysis using the Mann-Whitney test. Result: The research results showed that the pretest intervention group's knowledge was 76%, and post-test the use of animated videos was 88% with a value of p=0.002 (p<0.05). The effectiveness of animated videos with N-Gain is 60.1%, meaning it is quite effective. Conclusion: Animated videos increase the knowledge of prospective brides and grooms in preventing stunting and animated videos are effective in increasing the knowledge of prospective brides and grooms in efforts to prevent stunting in Darmaraja District, Sumedang Regency.

Abstract

Introduction: Breastfeeding is a natural event for a woman. However, breastfeeding problems that often arise in the early postpartum period (puerperal or lactation period) are breast engorgement. Breast engorgement is a blockage of milk due to the narrowing of the lactiferous ducts or by glands that are not emptied. The impact that will be caused if the breast milk dam is not resolved, namely mastitis and breast abscess, will occur. The use of cabbage or cabbage leaf compresses can be a non-pharmacological treatment. Objective: This study aimed to determine the effect of cabbage leaf compresses on breast swelling in postpartum mothers. The research method used is a quasi-experimental design. Method: The design used is Posttest Only Control Group Design. The sample of this study was postpartum mothers who experienced breast swelling in TPMB in the Ciamis Health Center Working Area. The number of respondents was 30 postpartum mothers who were divided into 2 groups (intervention and control groups). Each group consisted of 15 postpartum mothers. Result: The results of the statistical tests using the Mann Whitney U test p-value were 0.000, which means that cabbage leaf compresses affect breast swelling in postpartum mothers in TPMB in the Ciamis Health Center Working Area. Conclusion: There is an effect of cabbage leaf compresses on breast swelling in post-partum mothers with a P-value of 0.000.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze students’ writing skills in descriptive text by using the movie The School for Good and Evil. The method was descriptive quantitative with 17 second-semester students of Batanghari University as the sample. Data were collected through a writing test in which students described one of the movie characters. The results showed that the average score was 81.47, categorized as excellent. Eleven students (64.71%) were in the excellent category and six students (35.29%) were in the good category. This shows that movies can effectively stimulate students to improve descriptive writing.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The objectives of this study were: (1) to identify the learners’ needs for eighth-grade students of SMP N 3 Jambi, and (2) to develop appropriate materials for eighth-grade students of SMP N 3 Jambi. This was a Research and Development (R&D) study. The subjects of the study were the students in the eighth grade of SMP N 3 Jambi. The research procedures were adapted from Jolly and Bolitho’s model in Tomlinson (1998) with some modifications, consisting of conducting the need analysis, writing the course grid, developing the first draft, getting expert judgment, and evaluating the first draft, also revising the first draft of the materials. The instruments to collect the data were need analysis questionnaire and an expert judgment questionnaire. The data from the need analysis were analyzed quantitatively using frequency and percentage, then the results were used to develop the course grid. The data from the expert judgment were analyzed quantitatively through descriptive statistics while the suggestions were used to revise the first draft of the materials. The product of this research is a set of writing materials entitled “Guide for Writing” for students of the eighth grade of SMP N 3 Jambi. The writing materials consist of three units, “My Best Friend”, “My Unforgettable Experience”, and “My Favorite Story”. Each unit consists of Pre-writing, Drafting, Responding, and Editing tasks ranging from 15-17 tasks. Based on the research findings from the expert judgment, the whole aspects of the developed materials were 3.62 which was in the range of 3.25 < x ≤ 4 and can be categorized as “very good”.

Abstract

Postpartum is a time when many changes in women after childbirth, both physiological, psychological, and sociocultural and spiritual changes take place. Complex physical and emotional changes require adaptation to the life pattern following the labor process and the new role of the woman becoming a mother. Social support and communication are needed to prevent depression, doe to various changes after childbirth. The use of digital applications is a media that can increase support,communication between fellow members to share experiences. Studies have proved that digital applications can prevent depression from occurring in the past teachers. This Study aim to view the effectiveness of digital use of apps in preventing postpartum depression. The authors conducted a simple literacy study of 10 articles on the digital adoption of postpartum depression in 2015-2020. The result obtained are: digital applications are able to assist mother in getting access to timely information, can provide convenience in finding information, helps mothers access information on time, may be helpful in locating information, and it helps to prevent postpartum depression. Based on these findings, digital applications are needed to be devolved in nursing services to facilitate communication and education to the community, especially postpartum mothers to prevent depression postpartum

Abstract

Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) merupakan perilaku kesehatan yang dilakukan atas kesadaran, sehingga seseorang dapat meningkatkan status kesehatannya. Dampak dari kurang dilaksanakan PHBS diantaranya yaitu suasana belajar yang tidak mendukung karena lingkungan sekolah yang kotor, menurunnya semangat dan prestasi belajar dan mengajar di sekolah, menurunkan citra sekolah di masyarakat umum. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa tentang perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat serta keterampilan cuci tangan pakai sabun. Pengabdian dilakukan dengan memberikan penyuluhan mengenai perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat dan praktik cuci tangan. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan penyuluhan ini dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa tentang perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat serta terampil mempraktikkan cara cuci tangan pada siswa SMP di Santi Witya Serong School. Oleh karena itu, penyuluhan yang kontinu diperlukan untuk peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan secara berkelanjutan. Penyuluhan dapat dilakukan sebulan sekali menggunakan media poster, leafleat ataupun flipchart.

Abstract

Bureaucracy plays a major role in the process of providing public services. However, in the implementation of public services, various bureaucratic problems are still encountered. So bureaucratic reform is needed as a start to formulating a good, effective and efficient government administration system, so that it can serve the public quickly, precisely and professionally. In addition, government agencies and their leaders and staff must be committed to realizing a Corruption-Free Area/Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Area through bureaucratic reform, especially in realizing clean and accountable government and excellent public services as stated in Permenpan RB Number 90 of the Year 2021. This research aims to determine the Implementation of Strengthening Internal Supervision in Implementing Bureaucratic Reform at the Samarinda Environmental and Forestry Training Center. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. With the result that BPLHK has implemented strengthened supervision and fulfilled indicators based on PERMENPAN RB RI Number 26 of 2020 concerning Gratification Control in the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, which includes Gratification, Implementation of SPIP, Public Complaints, Whistle-blowing system, Handling of conflicts of interest, Development integrity zone, and the Government Internal Monitoring Apparatus (APIP) but there are still obstacles to achieving WBK/WBBM.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media pembelajaran interaktif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMPS IT Raudhatus Salaam. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah kurangnya minat dan keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran PAI yang disampaikan secara konvensional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan quasi eksperimen, melibatkan dua kelompok siswa kelas VIII sebagai subjek penelitian: kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan media interaktif seperti video animasi, kuis digital, dan presentasi multimedia; serta kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan metode ceramah tradisional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran interaktif secara signifikan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa, yang ditunjukkan dengan perbedaan skor pre-test dan post-test antara kedua kelompok. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan integrasi media interaktif dalam proses pembelajaran PAI untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan keterlibatan siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi pemasaran dan kualitas pelayanan terhadap tingkat kepuasan pelanggan hotel, dimana hotel adalah sebuah saranan akomodasi yang menyediakan fasilitas dan pelayanan penginapan, makanan, minum serta jasa lainnya, yang dikelola secara profesional untuk menghasilkan keuntungan dimana untuk memperoleh sebuah keuntungan tersebut sangat diperlukan strategi pemasaran dan kualitas pelayanan untuk menarik minat pelanggan. Dengan memperhatikan strategi dan kualitas pelayanan yang diberikan mampu meningkatkan kepuasan bagi pelanggan untuk selalu menggunakan jasa yang di tawarkan pada hotel tersebut.
