Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the Implementation of Offline Learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic for Social Studies Geography subjects in class XI SMA Negeri Walea Besar. The subject of this research is the geography teacher of class XI IPS. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. In an effort to provide answers to the problems raised. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of Offline Learning was less effective, but in the process of delivering material to students, it was achieved. In addition, during the meeting, the teacher not only delivered learning material but also the teacher gave assignments to students according to the material being studied and taught to be done at home. a form of mastery learning assessment or complete learning. The results of the homework given by the Social Sciences Geography teacher for class XI from 12 students, in fact, there are still 4 people who are late to deliver homework and others on time, and there are still students who have not received the standard of completeness scores. In contrast, the inhibiting factors for teaching and learning activities are transportation costs, distance to study, learning time, the risk of contracting Covid-19, limited knowledge of technology, and the targets set for learning. The supporting factors are facilities and infrastructure, student health, weather factors, learning limitations, and health protocols.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of parents in guiding at home online learning for class X IPS students at SMA Negeri 1 Sindue during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is qualitative using a descriptive approach. The research subjects were 10 students of class X. IPS and parents of students consisting of 10 people as key informants. Methods of data collection using observation, interviews, and documentation. data analysis techniques in this study are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the role of parents in encouraging children to study at home is very important during a pandemic where learning is carried out online. Parental involvement in encouraging children's learning enthusiasm must be increased. booster or motivator, namely to foster children's enthusiasm for learning during the online learning period so that children continue to want to study even at home. student learning motivation is very important, there is encouragement from parents in online learning that has been going well, despite the various difficulties and obstacles faced by parents in online learning, namely expensive quotas, not being able to fully accompany their children, not understanding the material, and not having the ability to operationalize smartphones.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative study which aims to determine the implementation of the independent learning curriculum at 3 driving schools in the city of Palu, consisting of schools: SMA Negeri 7 Palu, SMA Negeri 4 Palu and SMA Negeri Sports Tadulako Palu. The subjects in this research were 3 geography subject teachers at 3 Driving Schools in Palu City. The results of this research show that: 1) At the SMA Negeri 7 Palu school, at the implementation stage, the flow of learning objectives is not yet fully based on the needs of students, the teaching tools still combine the independent curriculum and the 2013 curriculum, collaboration has not been implemented between teachers and parents, guardians/students, obstacles What is experienced in the implementation of the independent learning curriculum is inadequate infrastructure: infocus, internet networks and the implementation of the independent learning curriculum is not evenly distributed at all levels of school which makes it difficult for students to adapt; 2) At SMA Negeri 4 Palu there has been no collaboration with parents, guardians/students and the industrial community; 3) At Tadulako Palu Sports Public High School, collaboration with parents, guardians/students and the industrial community has not yet been carried out. The obstacles to implementation are that learning resources in the independent learning curriculum are reduced and training to master the independent learning curriculum is inadequate.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) learning on critical thinking skills in Geography Subjects. This type of research is quantitative with experimental methods. The quasi-experimental method is a scientific investigation that requires the researcher to manipulate and control one or more and observe the dependent variable, to see differences in accordance with the manipulation of the independent variables. The research design that will be used is a nonquivalent control group design, where this research uses a pretest and posttest carried out in both the experimental class and the control class. The results of the research show that there is a significant influence of the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) Learning Model on critical thinking skills in Class X Geography Subjects at MAN 1 Palu City. This is proven by the results of the t-test using the independent sample t-test formula. The results show a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.007 < 0.05 so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Class X students' critical thinking skills regarding geography learning using the CORE learning method.
