Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji tentang kontribusi KH. Dhofir Salam dalam mendirikan dan mengembangkan pendidikan agama Islam serta mengkaji perjuangan beliau di dalam meraih kemerdekaan Indonesia. Penelitian ini sangat penting untuk diteliti dengan menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dan pendekatan sejarah. Peran KH. Dhofir Salam dalam pendidikan sangat besar jasa-jasa beliau karena ia mendirikan banyak sekolah-sekolah di kabupaten Jember yaitu, Pesantren al-fattah, MIMA KH. Siddiq, SMP Islam Jember, SMAI Jember, MAN 1 Jember, MAN 2 Jember, IAIN Jember sekarang menjadi UIN Khas Jember dan terakhir mendirikan Universitas Islam Jember. Selain mendirikan pendidikan Islam tersebut, beliau juga berperan serta dalam peperangan mealawan penjajah Belanda-Jepang di Keresidenan termasuk beliau menjadi komandan pasukan perang yang hebat dan pemberani melawan para penjajah.

Abstract

In the midst of individualistic nature and materialistic lifestyles that are increasingly thickening, Islamic boarding schools are still consistent by presenting an education system that is able to bridge the physical (physical) needs and mental spiritual (spiritual) needs of humans. The uniqueness of the role of pesantren is certainly inseparable from the professionalism and intelligence of the Kiai in leading the pesantren education community. It is at this point that the main reason for this research is raised. The main focus in the discussion of this research focuses on the Kiai's way of diagnosing the pesantren community. The focus in this research is how the behavior of the kiai in diagnosing the pesantren community. This research was conducted at the Bustanul Falah Islamic boarding school in Banyuwangi using a qualitative approach to describe the leadership behavior of Kiai. The conclusion of the findings based on the results of in-depth interviews, documentation and observations illustrates that the Kiai's dialogue process carried out in the internal and external environment of Islamic boarding schools is about adjusting three important components to the work needs of developing formal education in pesantren. The three are religious compatibility, commitment and competence.

Abstract

Marketing strategies in educational institutions, especially Islamic boarding schools, need to be done considering today's competition in educational institutions is very tight to get customers. To maintain the existence of the Salaf Islamic Boarding School and attract customer interest, perhaps the marketing strategy undertaken by the Al-Bidayah Islamic Boarding School Tegal Besar Kaliwates Jember can be imitated by other Salaf Islamic Boarding Schools. Because the Al-Bidayah Islamic Boarding School, apart from focusing on the study of the yellow book with the Al-Bidayah method, which is its trademark, the santri are allowed to continue in traditional schools outside the pesantren. This study aims to determine the marketing strategy of the salaf Islamic boarding school (a case study of the Al-Bidayah Islamic boarding school, Tegal Besar Kaliwates Jember. This research method uses qualitative research with the type of case study research. The data collection techniques are in-depth interview techniques, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the theory of Miles & Huberman, while the validity of the data uses triangulation of sources. The results of this study indicate that the marketing strategy carried out by Islamic boarding schools adopts the theory of Kotler et al. known as The Seven PS (7P), namely: Product, Price, Place, Promotion, People, Physica Evidence, Process. Through this marketing strategy, the Al-Bidayah Islamic Boarding School can introduce a brand image characteristic of the pesantren, namely learning the yellow book with the Al-Bidayah method to the community. The increasing number of students yearly proves this, and many become champions in the MQK competition at the district, provincial and national levels.

Abstract

The success of Islamic education is a joint effort of Islamic educational institutions, government and society. One of the supporting factors for the achievement of educational goals is good management of educational institutions. Supervision is one of the functions of education management. Artistic supervision as a form of supervision of educational institutions functions to provide assistance to teachers in the form of direction and guidance for improving the learning process. The implementation of artistic supervision needs to be maximized in Islamic educational institutions, so that it is not incidental. The purpose of this study is to analyze artistic supervision in Islamic education management. The research method used is literature study. Data were collected through documentation which was then analyzed descriptively. The results of the research found that the actualization stages of artistic supervision in Islamic education management include planning, implementing, and evaluating based on Islamic values that are sourced from the Al Quran and Hadith; supervision is a collaboration of the principal, supervisors, expert supervisors, and external supervisors. Supervision can be carried out individually or in groups.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the visionary leadership of kyai with a portrait of the role of kyai as a direction seter, change agent, spokesperson and as coach. Through this role, it is hoped that the competitiveness of students at the Al-Bidayah Jember Islamic boarding school is in accordance with the needs of the community in the future. This research was carried out because of the lack of research in Islamic boarding schools with the use of visionary leadership types but focused on the competitiveness of students. This research method uses qualitative research with a type of descriptive qualitative research. The subject of this study was a caregiver of Islamic boarding school named Dr. KH. Abdul Haris, M.Ag. Data collection techniques are in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques use Miles & Huberman theory, while data validity uses triangulation. The results of this study can be described that in carrying out his role, a kyai always involves stakeholders in formulating policies guided by the needs of the community and the future, innovating so that his vision and mission can be realized this is done by making an accelerated method in learning the yellow book and choosing the right learning methods and models, kyai socializes the vision and mission of the Islamic boarding school to the general public through da'wah in the media Social and training both in schools and Islamic boarding schools and kyai become resource persons in seminars for teachers or asatidz councils both in schools and Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This research focuses on the development of an adaptive curriculum to enhance Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)-based learning in the classroom. The aim of this study is to explore how adjustments to lesson materials, student-centered learning, the use of technology, and formative assessment can facilitate the development of HOTS in the context of secondary education. This study employs qualitative methods with a case study approach at SMAN 1 Glagah Banyuwangi. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis.The findings indicate that an adaptive curriculum tailored to the needs and interests of students significantly improves student engagement and critical thinking skills. The use of technology and HOTS-based formative assessment also proved effective in supporting the development of higher-order thinking skills. These findings underscore the importance of a responsive approach to individual student needs in enhancing the quality of education. However, this study has limitations, including variations in participants and the context of the location. Therefore, further comprehensive research is recommended to expand the scope and validity of these findings. The implications of this research suggest that educational policies need to consider the implementation of adaptive curricula to more effectively and inclusively support the development of HOTS.

Abstract

This research focuses on instilling the values ​​of moderation in learning Islamic religious education at school. The study's main aim is to explore how to integrate the values ​​of moderation, contextual learning, character development, and parental and community involvement influences attitudes of tolerance among students. The research method is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. Data analysis was done through data display, reduction, and conclusion. The research results show that integrating moderation values ​​in learning through contextual methods and character development has increased attitudes toward religious tolerance among students. Parental and community involvement also plays a vital role in supporting the implementation of these values. This research implies that an integrated and collaborative approach to education can strengthen student character and promote religious tolerance. This research contributes to the development of more inclusive and tolerant Islamic education. It underlines the need for further research to accommodate variations in gender, age, and survey methods so that the results obtained can be used on a more appropriate policy basis.

Abstract

The existence of pesantren as a religious education institution is a reality that can not be denied. Throughout history, the boarding school continues to pursue and improve its quality. Pesantren as an institution that accompanies Islamic da’wah in Indonesia has a pluralistic perception. To realize the pluralistic perception, especially the purpose of pesantren in the field of religious intellectuals, pesantren as an educational institution can make it happen through the study of the classic book commonly. In its learning activities, pesantren and the yellow book are two inseparable sides of Islamic education in Indonesia, even without the existence and teaching of the yellow book, an educational institution is not called pesantren. To keep pesantren as the center of Islamic studies, maintenance, and the yellow book remain the main characteristic. Of course, the role of Kiai through his leadership is very influential and decisive, it is clear from the fact that some boarding schools can not grow or extinct because the figure of Kiai as a leader in the boarding school can not play the role properly. Abstract

Organizational Climate is a subjective perception about the condition of a person in an organization that is sustainably maintained by involving all stakeholders, so that organizational goals can be achieved effectively and efficiently. If the organizational climate setting in an institution is positive, then the vision, mission and goals which are the ideals of the school will be effectively achieved. This research uses research library type research. The data analysis technique uses content analysis. Based on the results of research conducted by experts, including Tagiuri, argues that in developing the organizational climate in schools, there are four dimensions namely the ecological or environmental dimension, the social dimension, the social system and the culture that surrounds it. These four dimensions according to Taguiri include all dimensions in educational institutions to achieve the goals of the organization of educational institutions. Among the strategies that can be used to develop a positive organizational climate through these four dimensions, namely by making a policy or regulation by the Principal, where the policy leads to the improvement of organizations that are oriented to quality.
