Abstract

Hidroponik memiliki arti budidaya tanaman yang menggunakan air dan tidak menggunakan tanah sebagai media tanam (soilless). Sistem pertanian hidroponik menjadi alternatif yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan produktifitas pertanian terutama pada lahan yang sempit. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini ditujukan untuk mengenalkan kepada masyarakat khususnya di Desa Dalung mengenai pertanian hidroponik. Oleh karena itu, dengan mengenalkan sistem pertanian hidroponik, maka diharapkan dapat meningkatkan hasil pertanian pada lahan yang sempit dan hasil panen akan lebih cepat. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah observasi permasalahan, persiapan alat dan bahan, wawancara, sosialisasi melalui video campaign, penanaman dan pemeliharaan. Pada akhir kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini diharapkan masyarakat memiliki pengetahuan yang baik mengenai sistem pertanian hidroponik serta mampu menerapkan pembuatan hidroponik di rumah masing-masing walaupun pada lahan yang sempit. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah (1) Bertambahnya pengetahuan masyarakat akan pertanian hidroponik dengan sosialisasi melalui video campaign, dan (2) Masyarakat mengetahui cara pembuatan hidroponik pada lahan yang sempit di Desa Dalung. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah melalui pembuatan hidroponik dapat memberdayakan masyarakat terutama dalam hal bercocok tanam pada lahan yang sempit atau terbatas. Harapannya pembuatan hidroponik ini menjadi salah satu upaya yang dapat dilanjutkan oleh masyarakat di Desa Dalung agar bisa bercocok tanam di pekarangan rumah.

Abstract

Rice farmers roles are very significant in establishing national food security. However, due to weather that is often uncontrolled, affecting the quantity and quality of the harvest, the welfare of rice farmers is still difficult to improve. As an effort to improve the welfare of rice farmers, this community outreach activity seeks to assist farmers, especially in Mas Village - Ubud, increase the added value of their harvests by providing training on making beauty scrubs made from rice and turmeric. The training covers not only the production process, but also packaging and labeling methods. Exploration of potentials and problems was done through the process of observation and interviews. Then the planning process of training activities, training implementation, and evaluation process was carried out, to achieve the goals of community outreach activities. This community outreach activity provides new knowledge and skills for rice farmers and their families in processing rice into traditional scrubs. These new skills are expected to be able to help improve the welfare of rice farmers in Mas Village, especially during this pandemic. This community outreach activity paper contributes to the literature, by offering insight into how the welfare of rice farmers could be improved by providing trainings to increase the added value of agricultural production. In addition, the findings of this community outreach activity can also be applied to different contexts, so that this paper also offers significant practical contribution.

Abstract

This study aims to empirically test the influence of perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and perceived risk on millenial’s interest in e-wallet usage. Technology acceptance model was applied as a theoretical framework to investigate the determinants of e-wallet acceptance. This study used a quantitative approach targeting the millennial’s e-wallet users. Research data were collected through online survey with google form and resulted in 145 respondents’ answers which were then analyzed using SmartPLS. Research findings revealed that risk was not significantly influence millennial’s interest in e-wallet usage. While ease of use and perceived usefulness were found to be significant predictors of e-wallet acceptance among millennials. Perceived ease of use has the greatest influence on e-wallet acceptance compared to other variables. This study offers some practical recommendations for e-wallet providers to better understand millennials preferences and fulfil their expectations.

Abstract

Cloud technology has entered various fields, including accounting. Cloud technology implemented in the accounting field is called cloud accounting. Implementation of cloud technology might disrupt the role of accountants in the future. The purpose of this study is to determine the extent to which cloud accounting can disrupt the work of accountants. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach with a systematic review from hundreds of journals to assist in making research study maps. The results obtained in this study include: 1. The impact of cloud accounting on the work of accountants consisting of disruptive innovation, creative innovation and sustaining innovation; 2. Strategy for accountant to face disruption. From the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the presence of cloud accounting, robotics and data analytics (big data) through artificial intelligence (AI) can take over the basic work carried out by accountants. This requires an accountant to equip themselves with information technology capabilities to stay relevant.

Abstract

Sebatu Village, Tegallalang District, is one of the central areas for wood craftsmen in Gianyar. Almost all residents have a profession as wood craftsmen. The products produced are wooden piggy banks, wooden calendars, wall hangings, souvenirs, etc. However, currently, the woodcraft business in Sebatu Village is decreasing. As a result, woodcraft business actors are required to increase their competitiveness. This community service activity aims to provide understanding and training in the application of internet marketing to increase the competitiveness of the micro handicraft business in Sebatu Village. The method of carrying out this activity is problem identification through observation and interviews, providing knowledge and practice in an internet marketing application, namely by using a marketplace. This activity can explain internet marketing and skills to use the marketplace, Tokopedia, and Shopee, as platforms for selling products online. The following community service activities and articles are expected to cover a broader range of micro-enterprises that will sell their products online. --- Desa Sebatu, Kec. Tegallalang merupakan salah satu daerah sentral pengrajin kayu di Gianyar. Hampir semua penduduk memiliki profesi sebagai pengrajin kayu. Produk yang dihasilkan berupa celengan kayu, kalender kayu, hiasan dinding, souvenir dan lain sebagainya. Namun saat ini usaha kerajinan kayu di Desa Sebatu semakin menurun. Sehingga mengakibatkan pelaku usaha kerajinan kayu dituntut untuk dapat meningkatkan daya saingnya. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman dan pelatihan pengaplikasian internet marketing guna meningktakan daya saing usaha mikro handicraft di Desa Sebatu. Metode pelaksaan kegiatan ini adalah identifikasi masalah melalui observasi dan wawancara, pemberian pemahaman dan praktik pengaplikasian internet marketing, yaitu dengan menggunakan marketplace. Kegiatan ini mampu memberikan pemahaman tentang internet marketing dan keterampilan untuk menggunakan marketplace yaitu Tokopedia dan Shopee sebagai platform penjualan produk secara online. Kegiatan dan artikel pengabdian kepada masyarakat berikutnya diharapkan dapat mencakup lebih luas lagi usaha mikro yang akan menjual produknya secara online.

Abstract

This research aims at exploring key success factors of local start-ups in transforming social and environmental problems into opportunities to develop sustainable start-up business. To address the research objective, case study was conducted on two local start-ups that have successfully attracted the attention of large investors, namely Bukaloka and Gringgo. In-depth interviews were conducted with two start-up’s leaders/founders, four start-up’s consumers, and three co-working space managers. Several documents were also collected directly from the informants to support and validate the results of the interviews. Codes and themes were identified from the interview transcripts analysis, some significant quotes were then taken to support the analysis. The results show that there are five factors explaining local start-ups’ ability to transform social and environmental problems into business opportunities, namely: first, strong internal motivation of the founders to address social and environmental problems; second, founders’ experience; third, sound understanding of market responses; fourth, effective design thinking; and finally, effective product co-creation strategy. The five factors are interrelated, with the founder’s motivation factor being the foundation of the start-ups’ building block.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan hasil pengujian secara empiris faktor – faktor yang mempengaruhi minat generasi milenial di provinsi Bali dalam menggunakan fintech. Teori yang digunakan dalam menganalisis minat penggunaan fintech adalah kombinasi dari teori Technology Accaptence Model (TAM) dan Theory Planned Behavior (TPB) sebagai acuan teroritis penelitian. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan probability sampling dan teknik pengambilan sampel simple random sampling menggunakan metode survei melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 140 responden. Kemudian alat analisis yang digunakan menggunakan software SmartPLS 3.2.9. hasil pengujian secara empiris menunjukan minat generasi milenial untuk menggunakan fintech dipengaruhi secara positif dan signifikan oleh literasi keuangan, persepsi manfaat, persepsi kemudahan penggunaan, pengaruh sosial dan persepsi keamanan. Bukti lain menunjukan bahwa persepsi keamanan memiliki skor path coefficient yang tertinggi yang diikuti dengan persepsi kemudahan. Hal tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa generasi milenial lebih mementingkan sistem keamanan fintech yang menjamin informasi pribadi mereka, juga aman ketika melakukan transaksi. Kemudian generasi milenial lebih suka melakukan sesuatu dengan praktis dan tidak memakan waktu, dalam hal ini bertransaksi menggunakan fintech. Penting bagi perushaan fintech untuk memberikan jaminan kemanan sistem dan kemudahan dalam bertransaksi menggunakan fintech.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the accuracy of the Relative Strength Index (RSI) Indicator in predicting the direction of foreign exchange (forex) price movements. To achieve the research objectives, six foreign exchange currencies that fall into the major pair category were determined as samples. RSI data is collected from the Foreign Exchange Market which can be accessed via tradingview.com during the research period, January – September 2021. The data is analyzed using SPSS software with the Mann Whitney U Test which can prove statistically whether there is a significant difference between the predictions of forex price movements with the reality price movement. Thus, this study provides evidence of the accuracy of the Relative Strength Index (RSI) Indicator in predicting the direction of forex price movements. The findings of this study can be a reference for practitioners such as forex traders or business people who deal with foreign currencies in choosing technical analysis methods that can help make the right decisions.

Abstract

Pedungan Village, South Denpasar District is a densely populated village where most of the people depend more on the economy as MSME business actors. From the survey that has been conducted, many MSME players in Banjar Pitik are still taboo in using digital marketing as a marketing medium. Seeing the problems in this situation, it is necessary to hold digital marketing training for MSME players in Banjar Pitik for business competitiveness. The purpose of this community service activity is to help MSMEs in running their businesses so that they can increase sales results as well as business competitiveness. The methods used in collecting this data are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this training activity succeeded in reaping positive responses from the participants because in addition to being taught digital marketing training, this activity also succeeded in providing understanding and education on the importance of digital marketing in the era of globalization.

Abstract

In the face of intense competition, competitive strategy is very important in facing business competition. This study aims to explore how the Blue Ocean Strategy can be applied to the shellfish industry and other industries to increase export volume. The type of research used is qualitative research. Data collection through interviews. Determination of interview informants using purposive sampling technique. The validity of the data was tested using source triangulation. From the research results, the competitive strategy used by Egy Shell at this time is a focus and branding strategy. Egy Shell is becoming more focused on customer service and making the company more widely known. On the other hand, the company faces a tight competitive strategy because competitors are also targeting the same market. Improvements to the current competitive strategy are needed and it is necessary to formulate a new strategy using the Blue Ocean Strategy. From the formulation of the competitive strategy, new strategies that can be applied include: improving Product Quality by increasing the skill of craftsman, marketing by utilizing social media. In addition, it is necessary to create adequate supporting facilities, create a company website to make consumer easier get company’s information, maximize the timeliness of product completion and carry out product innovations on a regular basis to increase product value.
