Abstract

The main issue underlying this community service program is the condition of women in Sendang Village, Senori District, Tuban Regency, where the majority are housewives and young women with relatively high unemployment rates. They require guidance that provides new skills to improve their household economy. This program focuses on utilizing local potential in the form of leaves rich in natural pigments and tannins, such as teak, kersen, guava, and eucalyptus leaves, to produce eco-printing batik products. The purpose of this community service is to provide practical skills for village women so they can develop creative businesses based on local resources while simultaneously building collective awareness of economic independence and sustainable environmental management. The method applied was a participatory approach through community organizing, including stages of identifying social conditions, analyzing local resources, conducting discussions with village leaders, providing technical training in eco-printing batik, and offering assistance in business management and marketing. This strategy was strengthened through regular evaluations and the formation of women’s groups as new social institutions. The results showed increased technical skills among participants, the establishment of women’s eco-printing batik groups, the emergence of local female leaders, and greater collective awareness of the village’s economic and ecological potential. Thus, this program successfully encouraged sustainable social transformation through the integration of practical skills, women’s empowerment, and the utilization of local wisdom.

Abstract

Household food waste, especially leftover rice, is an environmental issue that is often overlooked but has significant impacts. Sumengko Village, located in Kalitidu District, Bojonegoro Regency, is an area with high household activity, resulting in a considerable amount of rice waste generated daily. This community service program aimed to provide training for local residents on how to utilize leftover rice by transforming it into a value-added product: rice crackers. The methods used in this activity included socialization, demonstrations of rice cracker production, and hands-on practice with participants. The results showed that the training successfully increased the participants’ knowledge and skills in processing rice waste into a marketable food product. In addition to reducing the volume of food waste, this program also opened opportunities for sustainable home-based businesses. Therefore, this training made a positive contribution both to environmental preservation and to the economic empowerment of the village community.

Abstract

This study departs from the increasing urgency of strengthening religious moderation in multicultural Indonesian society. Local wisdom is considered one of the most contextual and effective approaches to grounding moderation values at the grassroots level. The purpose of this research is to describe the process of manganan implementation in Selogabus Village, Parengan District, Tuban Regency, and to analyze the religious moderation values embedded in this tradition. This research uses a qualitative ethnographic method, with data obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving village apparatus, Mbah Mudin as a religious-cultural leader, and local residents. The findings show that manganan is performed annually on Jumat Pahing after harvest season as an expression of gratitude to God and respect to ancestors. The tradition unites Muslim and non-Muslim residents through collaborative activities such as cleaning sacred places, praying together, and sharing meals. The study concludes that manganan functions not only as cultural heritage but also as a living medium of social practice that strengthens four indicators of religious moderation: national commitment, tolerance, anti-violence, and acceptance of local culture

Abstract

Please Early childhood learners possess diverse characteristics in terms of interests, learning styles, and developmental readiness. However, instructional practices in many early childhood education settings often remain uniform, limiting opportunities for children to engage in activities aligned with their individual needs. This study explores the implementation of differentiated instruction through choice-making as a strategy to enhance children’s engagement and reduce disruptive behaviors in early learning settings. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, the study was conducted at TK PKK I Bangilan Tuban with one teacher, 15 children aged 4–5 years, the school principal, and three parents as participants. Data were collected through participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model with triangulation to ensure validity. Findings indicate that differentiated instruction was carried out in three stages: preparation (diagnostic assessment of readiness, interests, and learning styles), implementation (differentiated content, process, and product), and evaluation-reflection. The results show that choice-making strategies significantly increased children’s active participation, focus, and enthusiasm during learning activities, while also reducing instances of tantrums and passive behavior. Children demonstrated greater autonomy, motivation, and positive emotional regulation when provided with meaningful options. This study concludes that differentiated instruction integrated with choice-making not only supports cognitive, social, and emotional development, but also fosters an inclusive, engaging, and equitable learning environment. The findings have theoretical implications for enriching the literature on differentiated instruction and practical implications for PAUD teachers in designing flexible, child-centered learning strategies.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education (PAUD) plays a strategic role in shaping children’s early development, with parental involvement serving as a critical determinant of program effectiveness. This study examines the marketing strategies employed by TK Al Hikmah Muslimat NU Tuban to enhance parental participation in early childhood education. The findings indicate that clear market segmentation, positioning based on Islamic values, and consistent communication through digital platforms contribute positively to parental engagement in school activities. Despite these strengths, parental participation remains constrained by time limitations and persistent perceptions of parents as passive recipients rather than active educational partners. This study highlights the importance of developing flexible and interactive partnership models supported by digital communication to foster sustainable parental involvement. The findings offer practical insights for PAUD institutions seeking to strengthen parent–school partnerships through strategic marketing approaches.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of classical pesantren (Islamic boarding school) values in shaping the character of early childhood learners and to examine strategies for integrating these values with technology-based learning at TK Muslimat NU 33 Binangun, Singgahan, Tuban. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, using data collection techniques such as observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The subjects included the principal and classroom teachers, while the research objects covered the application of pesantren values such as ta’dzim (respect), discipline, spirituality, and independence within the context of early childhood education in the digital era. The findings indicate that classical pesantren values are implemented through habituation activities such as Friday infaq (charity), congregational Dhuha prayer, greeting teachers every morning, sharing with friends, learning to recite using the Iqro’ method, and celebrating Islamic holidays (PHBI). These activities foster religious, disciplined, empathetic, and socially responsible character traits in children. Moreover, the school successfully integrates pesantren values with digital technology through the use of media such as laptops for showing Islamic stories and educational videos. In conclusion, the integration of classical pesantren values and digital innovation forms a contextual, relevant, and effective model of character education for early childhood learners. This model serves as a strategic alternative to preserve traditional Islamic values while adapting to the challenges of the digital era.
