Abstract

Program KKN Mahasiswa di universitas Labuhanbatu khususnya di desa Aek Goti Kecamatan Silang Kitang Telah dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa sosialisasi Pembuatan Pupuk Organik Cair (POC) yang terbuat dari bonggol pisang. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah 1) meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masayarakat khususnya masyarakat petani sebagai pengganti pupuk kimia 2) membantu meningkatkan pendapatan petani dari sub-sektor pertanian. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dimulai dengan metode penyuluhan dan pelatihan serta penerapan langsung oleh masyarakat. Hasil-hasil yang diperoleh adalah (1)  memiliki pengetahuan dan wawasan tentang potensi dan pemanfaatan pupuk organik cair, (2) masyarakat dapat mengetahui dan melihat langsung proses pembuatan pupuk organik cair, (3) pupuk yang dihasilkan berpengaruh positif terhadap tanaman.Kata kunci : Bonggol pisang, pupuk organik cair.

Abstract

Pengolahan minyak kelapa sawit menghendaki mutu yang baik secara kualitatif maupun kuantitatif. Proses pengolahan yang kurang cermat mengakibatkan efek samping yang tidak diinginkan seperti menurunkan mutu minyak. PT.HSJ yang berlokasi di Desa Sidomulyo, Kecamatan Bilah Hilir, Kabupaten Labuhan Batu, Provinsi Sumatera Utara merupakan anak perusahaan dari PT. Asian Agri yang bergerak di sektor pengolahan minyak kelapa sawit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui mutu minyak kelapa sawit mentah di perkebunan PT. Hari Sawit Jaya. Sampel diambil dari keran pipa ex vacuum drier CPO dalam 2 hari yang berbeda. Adapun dalam satu hari pengambilan, sampel diambil sebanyak 5 sampel setiap 2 jam sekali. Parameter penelitian ini adalah kadar asam lemak bebas, kadar air dan zat pengotor. Hasil Penelitian CPO di PT. HSJ telah memenuhi standar yang ditetapkan oleh PT.HSJ dan SNI. Rata-rata kadar asam lemak bebas, kadar air dan kadar zat pengotor pada pengambilan sampel hari pertama adalah 3,06%, 0,20%, 0,022% dan hari kedua dengan rata-rata 3,17%, 0,19%, 0,022%.

Abstract

Vegetable pesticides are pesticides whose active ingredients come from plants and other organic materials that control pest attacks on plants, containing many bioactive compounds such as phenolic, alkaloid compounds and also other secondary chemical substances. Papayas are plants originating from Central America. Papaya can grow well in areas that are in tropical climates. Some of the ingredients contained in papaya leaves include papain enzymes, flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, and tannis. All of the content contained in papaya leaves, the papain enzyme is the most abundant chemical content in papaya leaves because it comes from papaya sap.

Abstract

Farmers in Sei Baru village manage marginal peatlands for producing the galangal. So far, testing of soil characteristics has never been carried out. Fertilization and culture practices are just based on knowledge from generation to generation, so it is important to study the characteristics of soil chemical properties of the peatlands that have been used for producing galangal. The research was conducted from December 2020 until February 2021 in a galangal plantation-grown by the community in Sei Baru Village, Panai Hilir District, Labuhanbatu Regency. The method used was a free grid survey method at the semi-detailed survey level. The implementation of soil sampling of 5 sample points with a distance of 100 meters in the field using a random method spread over a predetermined area. The results showed that the peat soil planted with galangal in Sei Baru Village had a pH of around 4.542, C-org was 52.18%, organic matter was 89.972%, N-total was 1.418%, C/N was 36.852, P-Bray was 963.41 ppm, and K-total was 0.14. Overall, the chemical properties of the soil in galangal plantations Sei Baru Village, Panai Hilir District, Labuhanbatu Regency are in good condition.to increase its fertility for galangal cultivation, it can be done by increasing the pH and potassium in the soil so that it will become more favorable for growing galangal and can be used as a recommendation for galangal fertilization.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the best dose interaction between goat manure and NPK Mashitam on the growth and production of watermelon (Citrulus vulgaris schard) hybrid varieties aginda F1. The implementation of this research was carried out in March-May 2020 in the STIPER Labuhanbatu experimental field. This study used a factorial randomized block design (RBD) consisting of two factors. As the first factor is the dosage treatment of NPK Mashitam fertilizer, which consists of 3 levels, namely N0: without NPK fertilizer treatment N1: NPK Mashitam fertilizer at a dose of 5 gr / plant, and N2: NPK Mashitam fertilizer at a dose of 10 gr / plant, the second treatment factor is Fertilizer. The goat pen consists of 3 levels, namely N0: without treatment. Goat manure, N1: Goat manure at a dose of 500 gr / hole, N2: goat manure at a dose of 1,000 gr / hole. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that: there was a very real interaction between the treatment of NPK Mashitam fertilizer dosage and the dose of goat manure on plant length variables aged 15, 30, 45 and 60 days, a significant interaction with the variable number of leaves aged 15, 30, 45 and 60 days, the number of leaves aged 15, 30, 45 and 60 days. Leaf width at 15, 30, 45 and 60 days, flowering age and fruit weight. The highest production was produced in the treatment dose of 1000 kg / ha Mashitam organic fertilizer, namely 5.41 kg.  Key words: Effect, Giving goat manure and NPK Mashitam, growth and production of watermelon

Abstract

This study discusses the effect of oil palm prices and productivity on the welfare of oil palm farmers in Promise Village, Bilah Barat District, Labuhanbatu Regency. The problem under study is how much influence price and productivity have on the welfare of farmers. The background of this research is that the price of palm oil has decreased every month. This study aims to determine the effect of oil palm price and productivity on the welfare of farmers in Promise Village, West Bilah Subdistrict, Labuhanbatu Regency. The benefit of this research is that farmers take better care of their oil palm land and so that price productivity is in line with their expectations. This research method uses a questionnaire taken directly from the source. The data of this study are primary data. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis assisted by SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) software 22. The results of this study indicate that (1) the price of oil palm has a positive and significant effect on the welfare of oil palm farmers in Promise Village, Bilah District. West Labuhanbatu Regency. (2) Oil palm productivity also has a very positive effect on the welfare of oil palm farmers in Promise Village, Bilah Barat District, Labuhanbatu Regency. Keywords: Price, Productivity and Welfare

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of chicken manure and urea fertilizer on the growth of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.) using banana stems. Mustard greens are one of the vegetables that contain various kinds of vitamins and minerals that are good for health. The demand for mustard plants increases along with the increase in population and nutritional needs. Design This experimental research was conducted by using a factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with a test pattern consisting of 2 factorials. Factorial I was a type of chicken manure with 2 replications, namely the first dose of 10 grams / hole and the second dose of 20 grams / hole. The second factor was urea fertilizer with 2 replications, namely the first dose of 5 grams / hole and the second dose of 10 grams / banana stem. The data obtained were analyzed by Microsoft Excel. Parameters include: number of leaves, leaf height, leaf area, wet weight of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.). The results of the research that have been done show that the optimal fertilizer used is chicken manure with a dose of 20 grams / hole. Meanwhile, the optimal dose of urea is used, which is 10 grams / hole.Keywords: Chicken Manure, Urea Fertilizer, Mustard

Abstract

Soil chemical properties have an important role in the growth and production of oil palm. Plants need nutrients to increase productivity. Oil palm (Elaeisguineensis Jacq) is the main plantation crop in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the characteristics of soil chemical properties in oil palm plantation stands of the people of Perlabian Village, South Labuhanbatu District, Kampung Rakyat District. The method used is a free grid survey method at the semi-detail survey level. Oil palm soil samples were taken from 6 oil palm sample trees with an area of 1 hectare. The parameters of the chemical properties of the soil are the content of N, P, K, Mg, pH, C-organic, and C/N. Data analysis was done by descriptive method. The results showed that the chemical properties of the soil in the people's garden of Perlabian Village, South Labuhanbatu Village, showed that the N-soil content was 0.14% (low), P-soil was 140.60 ppm (very high), K-soil was 0.08 me /100g (very low), Mg 0.09 me/100g (very low), pH level 5.00 (sour), C-organic content 3.48% (high), and C/N ratio 24.86 (high). Abstract

Saragih, Romadani "The Effect of Giving POC Waste of Catfish Water and Mestibiru NPK Fertilizer 16-16-16 Against the Rawit (Capsicum frutescens) Chilli PlantCatfish wastewater is often considered to be useless even though catfish water waste is very beneficial for plants. Especially if it is managed well like fermentation. If it has been managed, it can be a very useful POC. in testing the water of male fish in school, I conducted a study with cayenne pepper which was carried out in the agrtechnology experimental field of labuhanbatu university. This study used a randomized block design with a combination of NPK 16-16-16 Mestibiru fertilizer. In this study also observed a comparison of the provision of POC catfish water waste and NPK 16-16-16 Mestibiru. The results of the comparison with the treatment of POC pemebrian catfish waste water and NPK 16-16-16 Mestibiru POC pemebrian better. However, the best results in the research were the combination treatment of liquid oragnik fertilizer from catfish water waste with NPK 16-16-16 Mestibiru fertilizer getting the best results.Keyword : POC, Catfish Wasterwater, (NPK 16-16-16)

Abstract

Bitter melon is one of the types of potentially commercial vegetables if cultivated intensively on an agribusiness scale. In addition, bitter melon is a profitable agricultural commodity and trade material in local markets and supermarkets because it contains high nutrition that is complete and all parts of the medicinal plant bitter melon. Green giant is an organic fertilizer, in the form of pellets containing nutrients complete with high cation exchange capacity that will increase the availability of nutrients for plants, safe for the environment. Green Giant can improve physical, chemical and biological soil properties. Improving soil texture and structure is accompanied by neutralizing soil acidity, improving soil aeration and drainage, supporting the development of beneficial microorganisms in the soil and increasing the amount of nutrients that can be absorbed by plants. the application of leaf fertilizer which contains micro nutrients, the deficiencies can be overcome. The soil will avoid fatigue or damage by using leaf fertilizer.Key words : Green Giant, micro nutrients, fertilizer
