Abstract

Advances in information technology provide great opportunities to improve public services, especially in managing public complaints. In Perumahan Nusa Jaya, Kelurahan Sungai Panas, Batam City, which is a community with high social interaction, complaint management is currently still done manually through WhatsApp groups. This approach faces challenges, including lack of focused attention, difficulty tracking complaint status, limited documentation, and lack of transparency. Survey data revealed that most residents consider the current system ineffective and needs innovation. This study proposes the design of a citizen portal web application to streamline the management of complaints and community discussions. This system aims to record complaints periodically, track progress in resolution, provide organized documentation, and increase transparency and accountability for RT/RW administrators. This development follows the Scrum methodology, allows for iterative improvement, and uses the Unified Modeling Language (UML) for process modeling. The interface designed using Figma ensures a user-friendly experience. The proposed application will improve efficiency, transparency, and citizen satisfaction in managing public services in Perumahan Nusa Jaya. By integrating modern technology, this initiative is in line with sustainable development goals, which encourage better community-level governance.

Abstract

Government agencies often encounter challenges in enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of financial report management, particularly in the cash reconciliation process. This study, conducted at the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) of Mempawah Regency, addresses the inefficiencies of traditional reconciliation methods that require face-to-face interactions and up to two working days to complete. The research aims to develop the Official Cash and Operational Expenditure Information System (SIKASBON) using the Agile methodology, enabling a more responsive, flexible, and user-oriented financial data synchronization process. The system was developed through a structured approach involving requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and review. System evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS) yielded an impressive average score of 85.2, categorized as A+ (Best Imaginable). The findings demonstrate that SIKASBON significantly improves transparency and efficiency in managing cash and operational expenditures. Most notably, the time required for reconciliation was reduced from two working days to just 10 minutes. This research contributes to the digital transformation of public financial management by offering a scalable solution that aligns with user needs and promotes accountability in government operations.

Abstract

This study aims to explore discipleship in the younger generation finding their true identity in Christ in today's digital era. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, this study involved young people and young adults who are active in church communities. In this case, the younger generation in searching for identity in the digital era, finding true identity in Christ through discipleship requires the development of a discipleship approach that is responsive to complex social and digital dynamics. By integrating technology and interactive learning methods, discipleship can increase the relevance and effectiveness of programs offered to the younger generation. Through proper guidance, discipleship not only helps individuals recognize their identity in faith but also equips them with the skills and beliefs to contribute positively to society. The results of the study indicate that discipleship functions as a process of spiritual learning and in-depth character building, which strengthens the values ​​of love, sacrifice, and commitment to the teachings of Christ. Through interactions in discipleship groups, young people are empowered to share hopes and challenges, strengthen a sense of solidarity, and discuss issues that are relevant to their lives. Thus, discipleship becomes a vital tool in forming a strong identity and guiding young people towards a meaningful life in line with their calling of faith.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of credibility, perceived ease of use, and promotion on users' behavioral intention in using digital remittance services in Indonesia, with a focus on the moderating role of technological anxiety. It aims to understand how these factors shape user engagement and whether technological anxiety alters these relationships. A structured survey was conducted among Top Remit users to collect data on their perceptions and experiences. Findings indicate that credibility, ease of use, and promotion have a positive influence on behavioral intention, highlighting the importance of trust, platform simplicity, and effective marketing. While technological anxiety directly affects behavioral intention, it does not significantly moderate the relationships between credibility, ease of use, and promotion. Enhancing credibility, user experience, and balanced promotions fosters user adoption. The study offers practical insights for digital service providers to enhance user satisfaction and overcome technological barriers.

Abstract

Kaleng bekas sangatlah sulit untuk dapat didaur ulang dan dapat mencemarkan lingkungan. Dengan adanya pembuatan rancang bangun mesin penghancur kaleng minuman ini maka dapat mempermudah untuk melakukan pemindahan kaleng bekas menuju tempat daur ulang. Rancang bangun mesin ini dibuat dengan membentuk tempat untuk piston silinder pneumatik beserta dengan tempat kaleng. Pembentukan tersebut membutuhkan pelat L dan dihubungkan dengan menggunakan baut maupun dengan pengelasan. Hasil dari rancang bangun ini selain membentuk mesin penghancur kaleng minuman juga dilakukan pengujian ketahanan kerangka terhadap beban untuk menahan silinder pneumatik ketika sedang bekerja menggunakan simulasi untuk tegangan, perpindahan dan regangan untuk memastikan keamanan dari sisten yang dirancang. Simulasi membuktikan bahwa alat penghancur kaleng yang dirancang tetap dalam batas aman meskipun tekanan dari kompressor mencabai 0.8 Mpa.

Abstract

Polypharmacy and inappropriate medication use are often found in elderly stroke patients and have negative consequences such as less than optimal functional outcomes, increased incidence of drug side effects, increased treatment time and costs. However, polypharmacy seems difficult to avoid in stroke patients where there are many underlying comorbidities that require pharmacotherapy. Neurology specialist doctors as doctors responsible for patients need to manage polypharmacy and inappropriate use of drugs in order to achieve treatment goals, namely optimal functional outcomes and patient safety at an efficient cost.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Pencemaran plastik menjadi isu kesehatan saat ini. Partikel plastik berukuran mikron (MPs) dapat mengganggu kesehatan karena terkonsumsi secara tidak sengaja oleh mahluk hidup dan masuk kedalam rantai makanan manusia. Polietilena salah satu polimer plastik yang banyak mengkontaminasi makanan manusia. Partikel plastik yang terabsorbsi akan mengalami persisten dan bioakumulasi dalam darah. Partikel ini mengandung bahan toksik sehingga menimbulkan reaksi oksidasi pada komponen biologi, salah satunya low-density lipoprotein (LDL). Ox-LDL menyebabkan kerusakan pertahanan nefron sehingga memicu kaskade kerusakan. Indikator kerusakan fungsi nefron ginjal berupa serum albumin, blood urea nitrogen, dan serum kreatinin. Tujuan: Menjelaskan mekanisme gangguan fungsi nefron akibat mengkonsumsi partikel MPs polietilena. Metode: Penelitian eksperimental murni pada 42 ekor tikus (Rattus norvegicus) yang dikelompok secara random menjadi 6 kelompok. Desain penelitian adalah post-test only control group. Dosis paparan yakni 0mg; 0,0375mg; 0,075mg; 0,15mg, 0,3mg, 0,6mg partikel MPs per hari diberikan secara berurutan pada setiap kelompok. Pemberian bahan MPs menggunakan sonde oral selama 90 hari. Data di analisis menggunakan program Smart-PLS untuk membuat model mekanisme gangguan fungsi nefron akibat mengkonsumsi partikel MPs. Hasil: Paparan peroral partikel MPs pada tikus secara signifikan meningkatkan kadar partikel MPs dalam darah dan Ox-LDL darah. Keberadaan MPs dalam darah juga akan meningkatkan Ox-LDL darah, selain itu menurunkan kadar serum albumin, meningkatkan kadar blood urea nitrogen dan serum kreatinin darah. Sedangkan peningkatan Ox-LDL hanya berkontribusi terhadap terjadinya penurunan kadar serum albumin dan peningkatan kadar blood urea nitrogen darah (semua nilai T-stat > 1,96). Kesimpulan: Mengkonsumsi partikel MPs dapat menyebabkan gangguan fungsi nefron pada tikus.

Abstract

Noise pada citra tidak hanya terjadi karena ketidaksempurnaan dalam proses pengambilan gambar, tetapi bisa juga disebabkan oleh kotoran-kotoran yang terjadi pada citra. Dalam tugas akhir ini noise yang digunakan adalah impulse noise (salt and pepper). Impulse noise biasanya terjadi selama transisi citra. Noise ini tampak sebagai impuls-impuls hitam atau putih diatas citra. Impulse noise ini dapat terjadi karena error bit acak pada saluran komunikasi. Dalam literatur, dapat ditemukan berbagai algoritma yang dapat digunakan untuk menghilangkan salt and pepper noise, seperti Adaptive Approximated Median Filter dan Non-Subsampled Contourlet Transform (NSCT). Perangkat lunak yang dirancang ini melakukan beberapa tahapan proses yaitu dimulai dari proses menentukan sebuah piksel adalah noise atau tidak berdasarkan pada nilai threshold yang diberikan. Apabila piksel tersebut merupakan noise maka nilai baru akan dihitung dan di-set pada tahapan noise reduction. Terakhir, fase image enhancement akan dilakukan untuk menghasilkan citra digital dengan kualitas yang lebih bagus. Perangkat lunak ini akan menyisipkan noise ke dalam citra input. Setelah itu, noise tersebut akan dihapus dengan menggunakan metode Adaptive Approximated Median Filter dan Non-Subsampled Contourlet Transform (NSCT). Terakhir, akan dilakukan pengujian terhadap citra hasil reduksi noise dengan menggunakan metode MSE dan PSNR.

Abstract

The social service event organized by the Tabgha Theological College of Batam and the Cahaya Obor Berkat Foundation from August 9-11, 2024, at Pollux Habibie Mall, Batam Center, is a community service initiative in celebration of the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. This event included free general health check-ups and medical treatment, IVA (Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid) screenings for early detection of cervical cancer, and the distribution of 500 staple food packages to those in need. The main objectives were to provide healthcare access to underprivileged communities, raise awareness about the importance of early disease prevention, and alleviate the economic burden on citizens. The event was conducted in collaboration with the Batam City Health Office and Puskesmas Baloi Permai. As a result, 700 people received health services, 150 women underwent IVA screenings, and 500 food packages were distributed. This social service positively impacted the health and well-being of the community, embodying the spirit of independence through tangible acts of service.

Abstract

Education is one of the factors in increasing quality human resources. Therefore, the role of education is very important in today's society. In producing quality education, it requires experts (teachers), a relevant curriculum, and the availability of facilities and infrastructure. In addition, skills and abilities are needed from experts in providing explanations of the material presented. To help solve educational problems, especially education in the field of accounting, the Mahkota Kasih Insani Foundation invites accounting lecturers from the Faculty of Economics and Business to carry out community service activities. This activity is a solution that can be provided in order to help students of the Mahkota Kasih Insani Foundation understand accounting, especially the accounting treatment of bonds payable with the help of support and funds from the Institute for Research and Community Service, Universitas Tarumanagara. Based on this activity, students can develop their abilities. The training method is used in implementing this activity. The output obtained from this activity is a mandatory output in the form of publication of articles in community service journals as proof of having carried out community service at the Mahkota Kasih Insani Foundation, and the general public can see the articles in the journal, so that they are motivated to help more orphanages throughout Indonesia. Another output generated from this activity is an additional output in the form of intellectual property rights to obtain legal protection for copyright from community service activities. The implementation of community service activities at the Mahkota Kasih Insani Foundation began with a pre-test, providing material presentation, continued by discussing practice questions, then from the practice questions given, a discussion was carried out, after which a question and answer session was opened and ended with a post-test and evaluation of the implementation of activities and taking a group photo at the Mahkota Kasih Insani Foundation. Dalam menghasilkan pendidikan yang berkualitas, dibutuhkan tenaga ahli (pengajar), kurikulum yang relevan, serta tersedianya sarana dan prasarana. Selain itu, dibutuhkan keterampilan dan kemampuan dari tenaga ahli dalam memberikan penjelasan atas materi yang disampaikan. Untuk membantu menyelesaikan permasalahan pendidikan terutama pendidikan di bidang akuntansi, maka Yayasan Mahkota Kasih Insani mengundang dosen akuntansi Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis untuk melakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Kegiatan ini merupakan solusi yang yang dapat diberikan dalam rangka membantu siswa Yayasan Mahkota Kasih Insani dalam memahami akuntansi terutama perlakuan akuntansi utang obligasi dengan bantuan dukungan dan dana dari Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Universitas Tarumanagara. Berdasarkan kegiatan ini siswa dapat mengembangkan kemampuan yang dimiliki. Metode pelatihan digunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini. Luaran yang didapatkan dari kegiatan ini adalah luaran wajib berupa publikasi artikel di jurnal pengabdian kepada masyarakat sebagai bukti sudah melakukan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Yayasan Mahkota Kasih Insani, dan masyarakat umum dapat melihat artikel di jurnal tersebut, sehingga termotivasi membantu lebih banyak panti asuhan di seluruh Indonesia. Luaran lain yang dihasilkan dari kegiatan ini adalah luaran tambahan berupa hak kekayaan intelektual guna memperoleh perlindungan secara hukum atas hak cipta dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Yayasan Mahkota Kasih Insani diawali dengan pre test, memberikan pemaparan materi, dilanjutkan dengan membahas latihan soal, kemudian dari latihan soal yang diberikan, dilakukan pembahasan, setelah itu dibuka sesi untuk tanya jawab dan diakhiri dengan post test serta evaluasi pelaksanaan kegiatan dan melakukan foto bersama di Yayasan Mahkota Kasih Insani.
