Abstract

Maintenance of the mooring system is an effort to keep the moorings on the railroad tracks in good condition. Installing and removing fastenings in Indonesia uses manual tools, namely hammers and panpullers so that it takes a long time and is less effective, so the development of the tool is aimed at minimizing the use of human labor, being more effective and not requiring a lot of time to install and remove fasteners. In this final project, the manufacture of a hydraulic-based fastening installation and release tool is carried out with the development of an old tool with a new tool. The hydraulic-based fastening installation and removal tool have a length of 105 cm, a width of 67 cm and a height of 91 cm which is able to minimize the use of human labor and is more effective in installing and removing the fasteners. The use of these tools by placing the tool on the rail and positioning the hydraulic cylinder in front of the fasteners, then pump using the hydraulic pump lever until the fasteners can be attached or removed. From the results of the development of this tool, it can be seen that the installation and removal of fasteners can be done by minimizing human labor and requires an effective time of 50 seconds.

Abstract

Penelitian yang berjudul analisis faktor-faktor aspek material dan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) yang terdampak pandemi Covid-19 di proyek satuan kerja Balai Teknik Perkeretaapian (BTP) Jawa Timur ini bertujuan mengetahui faktor-faktor SDM apa saja yang terdampak pandemi Covid-19 di Proyek Satuan Kerja BTP Jawa Timur. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan mengunakan analisis statistika dengan analisis faktor . Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah menggunakan kuisioner dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 30 orang yang merupakan pekerja proyek pada satuan kerja BTP Jawa Timur pada masa pandemi Covid-19 . Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan program SPSS versi 24.0. Aspek yang dianalisis dalam penelitian ini adalah aspek Material dan SDM. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor pada aspek SDM yang dominan terdampak pandemi Covid-19 di proyek satuan kerja BTP Jawa Timur adalah ketersediaan  tenaga kerja. Sedangkan faktor pada aspek material yang dominan terdampak  adalah proses mobilisasi peralatan dan alat berat

Abstract

The present study investigates how to implement multiple e-learning technologies on practicing TOEFL PBT Section 2, Structure and Written Expression, and its effectiveness. It is a case study at Indonesian Railway Polytechnic. The participants were 48 students of the Railway Mechanical Technology program observed during eight online TOEFL practising classes. The data were collected using observation note to describe the implementation of e-learning technologies, comparing each score to determine the effectiveness of the technologies and a questionnaire to identify students’ feedback. The findings identified how to implement multiple e-learning technologies on practicing TOEFL PBT Section 2 in which effective to increase students’ TOEFL score; those technologies were regarded as interesting media on practicing TOEFL structure and written expression and received more positive feedbacks than the drawback from the students of Railway Mechanical Technology program. These imply that implementing multiple e-learning technologies on practicing TOEFL structure and written expression enhances students’ learning outcomes. HIGHLIGHTS: Multiple e-learning technologies enhance students’ learning outcomes in TOEFL PBT Section 2, structure and written expression. Quizizz, Kahoot!, Socrative, and Google Forms are interesting media on practicing TOEFL Structure and Written Expression. The fourth e-learning technologies receive more positive feedbacks than the drawback from the students in on practicing TOEFL PBT section 2.

Abstract

Lori inspeksi memiliki desain yang sederhana dan kontruksi yang ringan. Pada umumnya lori inspeksi tidak dilengkapi dengan suatu sistem suspensi, sehingga mengurangi tingkat kenyaman- an operator dan meningkatkan kebisingan roda lori dengan rel. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melakukan rancang bangun rubber damper yang memiliki fungsi untuk meredam getaran lori ins- peksi saat dioperasikan di atas jalan rel. Metode eksperimental digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni melakukan pembuatan rubber damper, memasang dan menguji pada lori inspeksi. Proses pembuatan rubber damper dimulai dari perencanaan meliputi proses desain dan pemilihan kom- posisi material. Pemilihan bahan dengan menggunakan beberapa campuran bahan kimia dan karet alam yang dominan untuk menambah kekuatan rubber damper. Produksi rubber damper dilakukan dengan tahapan-tahapan proses meliputi proses pencampuran komposisi bahan karet, penyiapan cetakan karet, dan pengepresan kemudian finishing. Hasil rancang bangun rubber damper dilakukan uji fungsi keberhasilan yaitu dengan menghitung tingkat kebisingan saat lori inspeksi dioperasikan. Pengujian dengan kecepatan 5 km/jam menghasilkan tingkat kebisingan 81,1 dBa, kecepatan 10 km/jam dengan tingkat kebisingan 86,6 dBa dan kecepatan 15 km/jam dengan tingkat kebisingan 91,8 dBa.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kopetensi pada penjaga palang pintu perlintasan sebidang kereta api ketika terjadi kondisi darurat (palang pintu tidak normal). Kegiatan pelatihan ini dilaksanakan secara langsung dengan memberikan pelatihan dasar secara teoritis, konsep dan prosedur penanganan kondisi darurat sesuai dengan petunjuk dari modul yang telah dipersiapkan. Untuk meningkatkan keterampilan, selanjutnya dilaksanakan simulasi secara langsung di lapangan. Hasil dari pelaksanaan simulasi pada kondisi darurat pada pintu perlintasan sebidang ini dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan terhadap petugas penjaga pintu perlintasan sebidang di JPL 01 Madiun.

Abstract

Ketersediaan energi dari tahun ke tahun mengalami penurunan. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengedukasi masyarakat khususnya terkait dengan energi terbarukan pada lampu Penerangan Jalan. Metode yang digunakan berupa sosialisasi materi dan praktik menginstal Lampu Jalan dengan Sel Surya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa warga yang mengikuti dapat memahami tentang energi terbarukan dan juga dapat mempraktekan pemasangan PJU bertenaga surya. Kegiatan ini juga menciptakan hubungan langsung yang baik antara kampus dan anggota masyarakat. Program PKM dilaksanakan selain untuk menjalin silaturahmi langsung antara kampus dengan masyarakat serta memberikan kontribusi kepada pemerintah daerah dalam pembangunan dan kemajuan desa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the stress, displacement, and factor of safety that occurred in the valblock safety device. With the maximum load that occurs at the knuckle is 7473 N. Testing is done using Solidworks simulation software. The material used is AISI 1045 with allowable stress of 450 MPa. The results of the analysis that came out of the simulation were the maximum stress values, displacement, and the factor of safety. The maximum stress results in static conditions that the tool is only able to withstand loads up to 7000 N with a value of 3,540 , and does not exceed the maximum allowable stress limit of the tool, which is 5,300 . The result of the loading is a change in the shape of the stem, namely displacement or deflection. The results obtained from the deflection of 1.3 mm. For the results of the factor of safety, the tool is worth 1.5 at a load of 7000 N so that the valblock safety device is safe to use up to 7000 N loading. Abstract

Composite material is a type of new, engineered material consisting of two or more materials where the properties of each material differ from one another both in chemical and physical properties and remain separate in the final material. Composite materials have many advantages, one of which is lighter weight and corrosion resistance. In this study, composites made from glass fiber were carried out with variations in the arrangement of laminates, in order to select the material which was then applied to the manufacture of the inspection lorry body. Composites were made using the hand lay-up method. Tensile test specimens made according to ASTM D-638. The results of the tensile test show that the highest tensile strength of glass fiber composite material for the inspection lorry body is 5.45 MPa and the lowest tensile strength is 4.62 MPa. Abstract

Locomotive CC 206 is the newest locomotive owned by PT Kereta Api Indonesia. Inside the CC 206 locomotive is equipped with a sophisticated smart display that can monitor all size parameters and damage to the locomotive itself. One of the capabilities of the CC 206 locomotive is the pop test. Pop test is the ability of the CC 206 locomotive to test the performance of each cylinder of the diesel engine. Based on the pop test results, there are various disturbances that often occur during maintenance of the CC 206 locomotive diesel engine.The purpose of this analysis is to analyze the pop test results as a reliability parameter on the CC 206 locomotive diesel engine, to analyze the factors causing the disturbance in the pop test results and analyze the effect of the failure of the pop test results on performance. Based on the results of the pop test, it was found that one of the cylinders was abnormal because the injector was under pressure, the injector spring was damaged and there was a clogged nozzle. Abstract

Abstract The fastener is one of the most important components in the railway infrastructure that must be inspected and maintained. Installing and removing fasteners nowadays is still using manual tools like hammers and panpullers which take a long time of 12 seconds and can damage the bearings due to the rebound of the tool. And the current tool is a hydraulic pump-based e-clip fastener installation and removal tool that takes 22 seconds to remove the fastener. Therefore, a device is needed to minimize the damage on the bearing so that its use is more effective and its utility is easy because it uses a control switch that is connected to the battery and then connected to an electric jack. This tool is targeted to be able to release the fastening in a period of under 10 seconds.The process of making an electric jack-based e-clip fastener assisting tool can be carried out in several stages, each of which is the design process, the upper frame manufacturing process, the lower frame manufacturing process, the tool pusher frame manufacturing process, the tool balancer frame manufacturing process, and the completion process. The finishing process of the tool manufacturing.The function testing of the electric jack-based e-clip fastener installation and removal assisting tool at Indonesian Railways Company, Rail road unit, Madiun for road and bridge maintenance. Function testing is done twice with two different operators. The results of the tool function test, the tool can perform the process of releasing one fastener for 5 seconds and can speed up the fastening maintenance process at Indonesian Railways Company, Rail road unit, Madiun.
