Abstract

This study aims to analyze the cultivation of students' Christian Religious Education values with Herbert Spencer's social evolution approach. The literature review method is the approach used in this research. The results show that the process of social evolution starts from individuals who combine themselves into a family, the family joins into a community, the community becomes a society, and the society becomes a state, and so on is a development that emphasizes the process. The planting of Christian Religious Education values in students is the same, that every stage of behavioral and spiritual development of students requires a process. The process referred to here is an effort made by Christian Religious Education teachers to guide and educate students to the realization of Christian Religious Education values in the real lives of students.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the management of Sunday Schools in the Kalimantan Evangelical Church of Kasih Marawan Lama, South Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. The problem is that the church is not aware that Sunday schools are experiencing some management-related problems. This caused the Sunday school categorical worship service to be unable to perform its functions properly. This research uses a qualitative method by examining phenomena that occur in the field and providing an explanation of what the author sees and feels and describes the results of interviews with informants. The results of the study revealed that the work program was prepared by Sunday School teachers, then the panel evaluated and reviewed each work program design that had been planned. Sunday School financial management of income and expenses is reported on a quarterly basis. The chairman of the assembly and the Sunday School teacher worked together to solve the Sunday School problem. The implementation of Sunday School services has not been running optimally and effectively. This has an impact on decreasing children's interest in coming to Sunday School services. The timing of the implementation of worship is also not appropriate and prevents children from coming. Evaluation of the performance of Sunday School teachers needs to be carried out to see the results of the implementation of Sunday School activities. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis manajemen Sekolah Minggu di Gereja Kalimantan Evangelis Kasih Marawan Lama, Kabupaten Barito Selatan, Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah. Permasalahan gereja kurang menyadari bahwa sekolah minggu mengalami beberapa masalah terkait manajemen. Hal ini menyebabkan pelayanan ibadah kategorial sekolah minggu tidak dapat menjalankan fungsinya dengan baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan meneliti fenomena-fenomena yang terjadi di lapangan serta memberikan penjelasan atas apa yang dilihat dan dirasakan oleh penulis dan mendeskripsikan hasil wawancara dengan informan. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa program kerja disusun oleh guru Sekolah Minggu, kemudian majelis mengevaluasi dan meninjau kembali setiap rancangan program kerja yang sudah direncanakan. Manajemen keuangan Sekolah Minggu terkait pemasukan dan pengeluaran dilaporkan setiap kunjungan triwulan. Ketua majelis dan guru Sekolah Minggu bekerja sama untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan Sekolah Minggu. Pelaksanaan pelayanan Sekolah Minggu belum berjalan dengan maksimal dan efektif. Hal ini berdampak pada menurunnya minat anak untuk datang dalam ibadah Sekolah Minggu. Pengaturan waktu pelaksanaan ibadah juga tidak sesuai dan membuat anak tidak datang. Evaluasi kinerja guru Sekolah Minggu perlu dilakukan untuk melihat hasil dari pelaksanaan kegiatan Sekolah Minggu.

Abstract

Indonesia is somewhat affluent with conflict experiences due to differences in various backgrounds. The poorly managed religious, tribal, and cultural heterogeneities have become threats. Accordingly, the harmony amid heterogeneity in Central Kalimantan has become an interesting phenomenon. The harmony has fairly solid foundations, and one of them is the cultural base. This article aims to explore the cultural base that has become the foundation for the creation of harmony and the interaction between the community leaders in building harmony. The method used was qualitative-descriptive using empirical and normative approaches. The data was collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. They were further analyzed by using Miles and Huberman’s models. This article found that huma betang has become a fairly solid cultural base in preserving community harmony. The interaction between community leaders, religious leaders, and indigenous leaders has become a supporting factor to maintain harmony in Central Kalimantan. This article is still limited to cultural harmony. Therefore, it calls for other perspectives to further enrich and deepen the study.

Abstract

This manuscript intends to examine the learning evaluation of the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model as a measuring tool that can be used by Christian Religious Education teachers to determine teaching success. Literature review is the approach used to achieve the objectives of this study. The results of the study revealed that the success of teaching Christian Religious Education teachers cannot ignore aspects of the learning context. Where Christian Religious Education teachers need to pay attention to the media and learning facilities available and used. The availability of learning facilities, the understanding of students and teachers in the use of media, as well as the quality of the material delivered in the classroom are inputs that also need to be considered by the teacher. This aspect of input is closely related to the competence of the Christian Religious Education teacher himself. Where teachers are required to have the ability to use facilities, learning media, and the ability to master learning materials. This aspect of the process becomes the next important part as a measure of the success of teaching Christian Religious Education teachers. Especially the evaluation of each learning implementation process. Be it evaluation of the process of teacher teaching activities, evaluation of the process of using and utilizing media and learning facilities, as well as evaluating obstacles and obstacles in learning. Finally, the product aspect which includes the results of the implementation of learning, as well as the impact of the knowledge possessed by students and teachers are aspects that encourage the success of teaching Christian Religious Education teachers. Where the results of the implementation of learning in the classroom can be seen from the level of efficiency and effectiveness of teaching teachers. Whether it is related to the use of effective learning methods and media, or subject matter that is easy to understand and accept by students.Manuskrip ini bermaksud untuk mengkaji evaluasi pembelajaran model CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) sebagai alat ukur yang dapat digunakan oleh guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen untuk mengetahui keberhasilan mengajar. Literatur review menjadi pendekatan yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan dari penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa keberhasilan mengajar guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen tidak dapat mengabaikan aspek konteks pembelajaran. Dimana guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen perlu menaruh perhatian pada media dan sarana pembelajaran yang tersedia maupun yang digunakan. Ketersediaan fasilitas pembelajaran, pemahaman peserta didik dan guru dalam penggunaan media, serta kualitas materi yang disampaikan dalam kelas menjadi input yang juga perlu diperhatikan oleh guru. Aspek input ini berkaitan erat dengan kompetensi guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen itu sendiri. Dimana guru dituntut untuk memiliki kemampuan dalam menggunakan fasilitas, media pembelajaran, maupun kemampuan dalam menguasai materi pembelajaran. Aspek proses menjadi bagian penting berikutnya sebagai alat ukur keberhasilan mengajar guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen. Khususnya evaluasi setiap proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Baik itu evaluasi proses aktivitas mengajar guru, evaluasi proses penggunaan dan pemanfaatan media maupun sarana pembelajaran, serta evaluasi hambatan dan kendala-kendala dalam pembelajaran. Terakhir, aspek produk yang meliputi hasil pelaksanaan pembelajaran, serta dampak pengetahuan yang dimiliki peserta didik dan guru menjadi aspek yang mendorong keberhasilan mengajar guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen. Dimana hasil pelaksanaan pembelajaran di kelas dapat dilihat dari tingkat efisiensi dan efektivitas mengajar guru. Baik itu berkaitan dengan penggunaan metode dan media pembelajaran yang efektif, maupun materi pelajaran yang mudah dipahami dan diterima oleh peserta didik.
