Abstract

This research aims to evaluate and enhance IT governance at Universitas XYZ by implementing the COBIT 2019 framework. The study acknowledges the growing significance of technology in operational efficiency and productivity. IT governance ensures the alignment of IT with organizational goals, managing resources, and mitigating risks. The methodology includes collecting primary and secondary data through observations, interviews, and document analysis. The research framework focuses on 11 design factors of COBIT 2019, assessing Universitas XYZ’s IT capabilities and identifying gaps. Findings reveal that Universitas XYZ prioritizes cost leadership and innovation, with a strong focus on quality financial information. The risk profile indicates substantial impact areas like IT investment and operational incidents, while the role of IT is classified as critical yet not fully integrated into strategic innovation. The IT sourcing model leans towards outsourcing, and traditional implementation methods are predominant. The study identifies APO10 (Managed Vendor Relationships) and BAI01 (Managed Program) as priority objectives. The capability levels for these objectives indicate areas for improvement, particularly in vendor management. The research concludes with recommendations for enhancing IT governance through strategic resource allocation and staff development, aiming to elevate Universitas XYZ’s IT maturity and competitive edge.

Abstract

IT is crucial for organizational performance and competitiveness, especially in healthcare, where service quality affects patient outcomes. Effective IT governance aligns investments with goals, delivers value, and reduces risks. This study assesses IT governance priorities at RSUD ODSK using the COBIT 2019 framework, identifying key governance and management objectives. The research employs a structured methodology, beginning with problem identification and then data collection through structured interviews using the COBIT 2019 Design Toolkit and the analysis of 10 Design Factors. These factors help determine the most critical governance objectives in RSUD ODSK's operational environment and strategic priorities. Findings indicate that Client Service/Stability is the hospital's top strategic priority, supported by key enterprise goals, including compliance with external regulations, business-service continuity, and internal process optimization. The prioritization process highlights Managed Assurance (MEA04) and Managed Security Services (DSS05) as the most critical governance objectives, both receiving importance scores of 100%, emphasizing the need for continuous IT performance monitoring and strong data security measures. Other highly prioritized objectives include Managed Security (APO13) at 85% and Managed Compliance with External Requirements (MEA03) at 70%, reflecting the hospital's focus on regulatory adherence and risk management. The results provide practical guidance for RSUD ODSK in improving IT governance, aligning IT with organizational goals, and ensuring reliable IT services to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. This study contributes valuable insights for hospitals seeking to strengthen IT governance using COBIT 2019.

Abstract

The growing demand for footwear and accessory care reflects an increasing awareness of cleanliness and personal appearance. This study focuses on a cleaning service business specializing in shoes, bags, and strollers, with shoes as the primary focus. Operational challenges, including inefficient customer communication and delays due to high demand, impact customer satisfaction. Using the Design Thinking method, this research develops a user-centered User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) for the business's application. The Design Thinking process—empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test—helped identify pain points and generate tailored solutions, such as improved navigation and task flow. Usability testing involved 18 participants performing key tasks, including booking services and tracking orders, with success rates and error metrics as evaluation criteria. The testing yielded a 70.6% task completion success rate, indicating improved service efficiency. However, the 54.4% misclick rate, higher than typical benchmarks for similar applications (30–40%), highlights significant navigation challenges. Future iterations will focus on refining the interface layout and enhancing task clarity to reduce errors and improve usability. These findings emphasize the value of iterative, user-centered design in addressing operational inefficiencies and enhancing the customer experience.

Abstract

Technological advancements have ushered the world into a new era, particularly in the realm of information. In this context, information technology is considered a crucial tool to support and enhance corporate management, enabling companies to compete in the market. One common approach to managing information technology is by using IT governance frameworks such as COBIT (Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology) 2019. To date, there has been no research or evaluation conducted on the IT performance of Meet Ventures, Pte. Ltd., leaving the maturity level of information technology implementation in the company unclear. This project aims to explore the use of information systems and information technology at Meet Ventures, Pte. Ltd. in managing their operations and data. The project's approach involves a literature study on COBIT 2019 design factors. Based on the application of COBIT 2019, the prioritized objectives identified are BAI03 – Manage Solutions Identification and Build, BAI06 – Manage IT Changes, and MEA01 – Monitor, Evaluate, Assess Performance and Conformance. The assessment of various design factors in COBIT 2019 indicates that Meet Ventures, Pte. Ltd. has a strong focus on innovation, differentiation, and customer service. They also demonstrate a commitment to legal compliance and external regulations, a customer service culture, and effective risk management.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has transformed education globally, but in regions like Manado, Indonesia, the lack of platforms connecting private tutors with students creates inefficiencies. Students face difficulties in finding affordable tutoring services, while tutors struggle with marketing and building trust. This study aims to design and evaluate the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) of a mobile application addressing these challenges using the Design Thinking methodology. Through five stages—Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test—key pain points were identified, including scheduling inefficiencies, trust issues, and geographical constraints. Solutions like flexible scheduling, integrated promotional tools, and rating systems were proposed. Prototypes, developed using Figma, were tested through usability evaluations across four scenarios. Key findings include: Scenario 3 (notifying a tutor) showed optimal performance with a task completion time of 2 seconds, no miss-clicks, and a usability score of 100; Scenario 1 (finding courses via maps) had a 95 usability score with an 8% miss-click rate; Scenario 2 (finding schedules) showed a 25% miss-click rate and a usability score of 80; and Scenario 4 (checking notifications) faced significant challenges, with a 50% miss-click rate and a usability score of 75. These results underscore the effectiveness of Design Thinking in addressing the needs of users and provide valuable insights for improving educational platforms in underserved regions. The findings suggest that while the mobile app holds great potential for improving educational access, further refinements are needed, particularly in navigation and notification features.

Abstract

The increasing prevalence of lifestyle-related health issues highlights the necessity for innovative solutions to promote healthier habits. This study aims to design a better and more suitable user interface (UI) for the user experience (UX) of a mobile calorie deficit application using the Design Thinking method. The primary objective is to create a user-centric UI design that enhances user engagement and supports weight management goals. Through a comprehensive Design Thinking process, which includes empathizing with users, defining problems, ideating solutions, prototyping, and testing, we developed a UI design tailored to the needs of individuals seeking to manage their calorie intake effectively. The testing phase involved two scenarios. The first scenario achieved a miss click rate of 0-9% and a usability score ranging from 91 to 100. User feedback was continuously integrated to refine the design, ensuring usability and functionality. The results demonstrate that the well-structured UI design effectively improves user satisfaction and interaction. This research underscores the value of Design Thinking in developing user-centered interfaces for health management applications.
