Abstract

Ornamental fish is a fish that has a distinctive shape, color and character so as to create an aquarium atmosphere that supports spatial layout and is able to provide a peaceful atmosphere. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of ornamental fish business and analyze the feasibility of ornamental fish business in Jambi City. The qualitative method is used to describe descriptively the general description of the location of the study and the characteristics of ornamental fish farmers, while the quantitative method uses the Analysis of Income and Revenue of ornamental fish business, cost analysis, income analysis and cost balance (R/C Ratio), Net Benefits - Cost Ratios (Net B/C), and institutionally descriptive for the betta fish, guppy and botia ornamental fish business. Overall, the general description of ornamental fish farming business in Jambi City is conducted conventionally. The average R/C ratio of the Betta ornamental fish business is 2.60, guppy is 2.02 and botia is 1.22. The highest average NPV in the betta ornamental fish in the mid-scale farming business is Rp. 60,745,160.71, guppy on a large scale is Rp. 31,385,065.48, and botia on a large scale with a value of Rp. 78,034,144.35. Overall, this ornamental fish business has an NPV value of> 0. The ornamental fish business in Jambi City is feasible to run and develop, betta ornamental fish business on a small scale with an average B/C Ratio of 1.15 and medium with an average value of average 1.60, guppy on a small scale with an average value of 1.02, and botia on a medium scale with an average value of 1.00 and large with a value of an average of 1.22. Abstract

After entering the era of free trade in 2015 in the ASEAN Economic Community (MEA) and 2020 around the world through WTO (World Trade Organization) agreement, many things must be considered, each country is required to improve its competitiveness through development in various sectors of the economy especially the goods to be exported to the destination country.The purpose of this research is to analyze the competitiveness of Libtukom Coffea, analyze the impact of government policy on output and input on libtukom coffea farming and analyze competitiveness sensitivity of Libtukom coffea farming to change of output and input. This study uses primary and secondary data sources, to determine the number of respondents calculated by the formula slovin diproleh number of respondents as much as 92 respondents. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive analysis method and the infractional method by tabulating and processed by using PAM (Policy Analysis Matrix) method. From the result of the research, it can be concluded that: (1) 1) Cultivation of libtukom coffea in Distric of West Tanjung Jabung has comparative and competitive advantage. The use of resources in the research area at the market and international market rates is efficient for economic and financial use as indicated by PCR and DRCR values ​​obtained <1, for PCR obtained 0.195 and DRCR 0.176; (2) In general, local government policies for leather farming still have not shown favorable partiality for small farmers. This can be seen from the result of NPCO value obtained <1 that is equal to 0.912 and seen from NPCI that> 1 is 1.006 and (3) In the simulation of sensitivity done obtained the production costs incurred by each farmer for libtukom coffea cultivation can be covered by the selling price earned.

Abstract

In an effort to increase national rice, it is known that rice reserves in Indonesia have experienced a shortage. Farmers are required to participate in building national food strength through increased productivity. The Bullying Without Lies Program is one of the efforts of the East Tanjung Jabung District Government to achieve the target of achieving sustainable self-sufficiency through increasing productivity/production. The success of a program is irnfluernced by interrnal and external factors of farmers in the field. The research that will be conducted is expected to provide feedback information on farmers' understanding of the application of technological for the Bullying Without Lies Program Farming for Rice Field Farming as an effort to increase rice productivity/production. This research takes place in East Tanjung Jabung Regerncy and the object of research is all members of farmer groups who carry out or participate in the Bullying Without Lies Program in East Tanjung Jabung District. The sampling technique used was by random sampling, so that the respondents in this study where 87 farmers. The results of the study using descriptive analysis and SEM (Structural Equation Model) using the PLS program showed that the interrnal and external factors of farmers and characteristics of innovation on the application of technology to the Bullying Without Lies Program were in the good category with the value of Q² (95.52%). The results of the path analysis show that the internal factors of farmers and external factors of farmers have a significant and significant effect on the variable of technology application of the Bullying Without Lies Program through the moderating variable of innovation characteristics of 0.772

Abstract

Jambi Province has the three largest and best-quality betel nut producing districts namely Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency, Muaro Jambi Regency, but Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency has the largest land area and production. With the limited technology and traditional post-harvest areca processing patterns, the yield of areca nuts is less than optimal. The purpose of this study are a). Describe the pattern of post-harvest handling of areca nut in Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency; b). Analyzing the determinants that influence farmers' decisions in choosing post-harvest areca nut management patterns in Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. The sample of this study was farmers who worked on areca nut in Betara District which consisted of 3 villages namely Tanjung Senjulang Village, Jati Mas Village and Bram Itam Raya Village as many as 78 people from a population of 347 areca nut farmers. The method of determining the sample by simple random sampling. The data analysis method uses multinomial logistic regression analysis. In this study, researchers examined the influence of capital, experience, price, labor, education and technology on pentane decisions to choose between 3 post-harvest areca nut handling patterns. Based on the analysis results it is known that capital, experience and price have a significant effect (p <0.1) on the decision of farmers in choosing pattern 1 in post-harvest handlers. As for labor, education and technology had no significant effect (p> 0.1). Based on the analysis that capital has a significant effect (p <0.1) on the decision of farmers in choosing pattern 2 in post-harvest handling, but for experience, price, labor, education and technology have no significant effect (p> 0.1). Capital, experience and price have a significant effect (p <0.1).
