Abstract

Sekolah  saat  ini  sangat  rentan  disusupi  oleh  paham  dan  gerakan  radikalisme.  Hal ini dikarenakan  belum ada satu pun kebijakan spesifik untuk melindungi atau memproteksi sekolah dari penetrasi pahan dan gerakan radikalisme. Dalam rangka mewujudkan perlindungan  terhadap  siswa di sekolah  terhadap  paham  radikalisme  maka pendidikan nilai-nilai  kebangsaan  untuk  siswa  sekolah  diperlukan  sebagai  bentuk  kepedulian  dari setiap pihak, baik pemerintah,  masyarakat,  keluarga  terutama  sekolah.  Pendidikan  nilai kebangsaan   untuk  siswa  akan  terbentuk  jika  semua  pihak  memilki  kesadaran  akan pentingnya  pendidikan  nilai  kebangsaan  dimulai  semenjak  dini.  Guru  adalah  posisi paling  strategis  untuk  membentuk  karakter  siswa.  Pendidikan  nilai  kebangsaan  pada siswa sekolah inilah yang menjadi dasar pembentukan  awal karena meluruskan  sebatang ranting   jauh   lebih   mudah   daripada   meluruskan   sebatang   pohon,   maka   dari   itu pendidikan  nilai kebangsaan  yang paling efektif adalah pendidikan  pada siswa sekolah. Pengembangan   nilai-nilai  budaya  dan  karakter  bangsa  siswa  sekolah  harus  dilakukan dengan   tepat.   Jika hal ini   tidak   bisa   tercapai,   pesan moral yang akan disampaikan orang  tua  dan  pendidik  kepada  siswa  menjadi  terhambat.  Pengembangan  nilai  moral untuk siswa sekolah  bisa dilakukan  di dalam tiga tri pusat pendidikan  yang ada. Yaitu, keluarga, sekolah, dan masyarakat. Dalam pengembangan nilai moral untuk siswa sekolah perlu dilakukan  dengan sangat hati-hati. Hal ini dikarenakan  siswa sekolah adalah anak yang  sedang  dalam  tahap  perkembangan  praoperasional  konkret.  Maka  dari  itu,  tim pengabdi melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian berkaitan dengan penanaman nilai-nilai kebangsaan   terhadap   siswa   sekolah,   bertujuan   untuk   mengatasi   perpecah-belahan masyarakat   Indonesia   ini   dan   mencegah   radikalisme   siswa,   mengingat   banyaknya kelompok  separatis  lahir  di  Indonesia  ini  maka  salah  satu  cara  untuk  memeutuskan rantai  gejolak  yang  bertujuan  menghancurkan   Negara  Kesatuan  Republik  Indonesia (NKRI) ini dengan menanamkan nilai-nilai wawasan kebangsaan terhadap siswa sekolah.   Full Paper

Abstract

The challenge in implementing the independent curriculum is teachers ' readiness to use digital technology for learning. Teachers are required to be able to use technology, but many still need help developing digital media for learning. This research aims to develop a STEAM-based electronic module for class V elementary schools learning electrical components. This type of research uses the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The research subjects were media experts, learning materials experts, and language experts. The test subjects were five teachers and students. Data collection methods used in this research include interviews, questionnaires and tests. The instrument used to collect data was a questionnaire sheet. The techniques used to analyze data are qualitative descriptive analysis and quantitative and inferential statistics. The results of the research show that there is a significant difference between before and after using STEAM-based electronic modules and after. It was concluded that STEAM-based electronic modules can improve students' higher-order thinking abilities. This research highlights the potential of e-module learning tools, particularly in the context of a STEAM approach, in improving educational outcomes. The implication of this research is that STEAM-based electronic modules can be used in learning.

Abstract

This article discusses the role of sculpture as a medium for documenting political, social, and cultural transformations at the Lima Gunung Museum. The sculptures in this museum not only represent visual beauty, but also function as symbolic reflections on socio-political issues. Case studies of works such as Gus Semar Gunung, Cocot Kencono, Cicak vs Buaya, and Sinar Hati Gus Dur present critiques of phenomena such as pluralism, the post-truth era, power conflicts, and cultural acculturation. Through an aesthetic analysis approach based on AA Djelantik's theory, this article shows how sculpture can be a documentation tool that preserves historical narratives visually, conveys universal social criticism, and triggers dialogue with audiences. Documentation through sculpture provides an important contribution to understanding the dynamics of Indonesian society and politics, making art a bridge between aesthetic values ​​and social messages.

Abstract

Padepokan Tjipta Boedaja in Tutup Ngisor Village, Magelang, is a traditional arts centre that has been running since 1937. As a collective space, the pavilion is a place for art preservation, social cohesion, and expression of cultural values. This research explores the aesthetic and social meanings of the pendopo using Y.B. Mangunwijaya's aesthetic theory. Through a qualitative approach and descriptive-analytical method, this research reveals the design elements of the pendopo that reflect the Nusantara philosophy, such as Gupala, Dewi Saraswati, and Yaksa Kala Liman ornaments, as well as the social function of the pendopo as an open and inclusive space. The results show that pendopo not only functions as a physical space, but also as a symbolic medium that strengthens cultural identity, supports art preservation, and builds community solidarity. This study provides a new perspective in understanding spatial design as an integral part of cultural preservation and social life.

Abstract

The times demand human resources that are proficient enough to face all situations and challenges confidently. These resources can be reflected in metacognitive skills. The existence of low metacognitive skills encourages the authors to use the learning progression-based biotechnology STEM module. The aim of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the learning progression-based biotechnology STEM module to improve the metacognitive skills of the ninth-graders of junior high school in science subjects. This research is quasi-experimental research with a pretest-post-test control group design that tested the effectiveness of the module to improve the metacognitive skills of the ninth-graders of junior high school on biotechnology. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling which consisted of four ninth-grade classes. Each class consisted of 32 students. The four classes were grouped into two, namely the control group consisting of one class (32 students) and the experimental group consisting of three classes (96 students). The data were obtained by conducting tests analyze with an independent sample t-test. The results showed that the learning progression-based biotechnology STEM module had sufficient influence to improve the metacognitive skills of the ninth-graders of junior high schools.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of inquiry-based virtual laboratory modules in improving civil engineering students' conceptual understanding of moment of inertia, with critical thinking skills as a moderating factor. Using a quasi-experimental 2x2 factorial design, 60 students were divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group engaged with virtual lab modules featuring interactive simulations and case-based learning, while the control group received conventional lecture-based instruction. Results indicated significantly higher learning outcomes in the experimental group (mean score = 58.9) compared to the control group (46.5), with critical thinking skills further amplifying this effect. ANOVA analysis confirmed the significant impact of the intervention (F = 21.83, p < 0.001). The study highlights the importance of integrating technology with pedagogical strategies that foster critical analysis and self-directed exploration. These findings contribute to engineering education by demonstrating how virtual labs, when combined with inquiry-based learning, can bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application while accommodating diverse learning needs. Recommendations include curriculum integration of such modules and professional development for educators in implementing technology-enhanced, inquiry driven approaches.

Abstract

Makalah ini menguraikan pertunjukan gending (komposisi musik tradisional Jawa) yang diadakan di Padepokan Tjipta Boedaja di lereng Gunung Merapi di Magelang. Kegiatan ini dikenal sebagai Caosan, sebuah pertunjukan musik yang melibatkan permainan berturut-turut sekitar sepuluh hingga sebelas gending. Meskipun pada dasarnya merupakan praktik keagamaan, Caosan juga memiliki fungsi pendidikan dalam studi karawitan (musik tradisional Jawa), yang bermula dari niat untuk mencegah tidur siang di sore hari pada malam Kamis dan Selasa Kliwon—waktu yang dianggap sakral oleh anggota Padepokan. Untuk mencegah tidur selama periode ini, sebuah klenengan (pertemuan musik gamelan) diselenggarakan, yang sekaligus mengajarkan para anggota cara memainkan gamelan. Tersirat dalam acara tersebut adalah konsep “nggendong ngindit”, yang mengacu pada penyelesaian dua tugas yang saling berhubungan secara bersamaan—di sini, pembelajaran musik terjadi bersamaan dengan sebuah ritual. Caosan dapat dianggap sebagai acara keagamaan, meskipun pelaksanaannya tidak kaku atau khidmat seperti ibadah formal. Sebaliknya, ia memungkinkan suasana santai di mana kesalahan dalam bermain dapat diterima. Dalam keadaan darurat, seperti letusan gunung berapi atau grup musisi yang tidak lengkap, Caosan dapat dibatalkan. Namun, niat untuk tetap terjaga selama malam suci berlanjut melalui percakapan informal. Romo Yoso Sudarmo memanfaatkan Caosan sebagai platform untuk membentuk kelompok pangrawit (pemain gamelan), yang terutama diambil dari pemain wayang orang tradisional. Saat ini, Caosan telah berkembang menjadi praktik budaya yang menarik, meskipun jumlah penontonnya masih sedikit. Ini bukan acara wisata religi melainkan konser karawitan yang dimaksudkan sebagai persembahan kepada para leluhur, dengan harapan membawa kedamaian, keselamatan, dan kebahagiaan bagi masyarakat Padepokan. Abstract

This study aims to: (1) develop teaching materials for the IPAS project in the motorcycle engineering department to enhance reading literacy; (2) produce feasible teaching materials for the IPAS project in the motorcycle engineering department to improve reading literacy; and (3) evaluate the effectiveness of these materials in enhancing students' reading literacy. This research follows a Research and Development approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of five phases: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. The study was conducted in a Vocational High School in Wonogiri Regency, Central Java, during the 2024/2025 academic year, involving 216 tenth-grade students from three schools classified as having good, moderate, and low reading literacy levels. The teaching materials were validated by experts in content, media, language, and pedagogy using a validation questionnaire. Instrument trials were analyzed for validity, reliability, discrimination index, difficulty level, and question differentiation. The effectiveness of teaching materials was analyzed by t-test. Based on the research, it's concluded that the characteristics of PjBL-based IPAS teaching materials consist of opening, content, and closing sections. The feasibility of teaching materials is declared valid and feasible to use in learning, and it is effective in improving students' reading literacy skills.
