Abstract

Educational management is a relatively young discipline that combines management principles in an effort to improve the quality of education. The aim is to achieve effectiveness and efficiency in achieving educational goals through planning, organizing, giving orders, coordinating, controlling and evaluating. Even though various policies and programs have been implemented, the education system in Indonesia still has not shown adequate results in creating quality human resources. Therefore, it is necessary to further study existing problems and formulate alternative solutions to overcome existing weaknesses. Improving the quality of educational human resources requires good management in order to compete on a global scale. Evaluation is an important part of this process, providing information that can be used for decision making, policy formulation, and program improvement. Systematic and ongoing evaluation helps ensure that programs are implemented effectively and efficiently, and provides a strong basis for future policy development.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology has facilitated easier access to information but has concurrently heightened the risks associated with the security of personal data. This has raised concerns about individual privacy, prompting the enactment of regulations for the protection of personal data. Legal enforcement becomes crucial to ensure proper treatment of personal data. Indonesia responded to the increasing cases of data breaches by enacting the Personal Data Protection Act in 2022. However, incidents of data leaks persist. France boasts a well-established data protection law, notably the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which provides comprehensive guidelines for the management of personal data. There are similarities and differences in the approaches of the two countries. Both emphasize principles such as fairness, transparency, and responsibility. However, France highlights openness and integrity, while Indonesia places a greater focus on fairness and responsibility. Individual rights take center stage in both regulatory frameworks, with an emphasis on access, correction, and deletion of data. France introduces the rights to protest and data portability to afford individuals greater control over their personal data. Sanctions and legal enforcement are also crucial in safeguarding personal data. Both countries impose sanctions, though there are variations in implementation and enforcement. This research aims to provide a better understanding of the differences and similarities in the frameworks for personal data protection between Indonesia and France, with the goal of strengthening data protection and enhancing public awareness.

Abstract

Environmental sustainability is an issue that needs serious support, not just from within the exclusive realm of legal environmental protection, but also investment law, which fosters better partnership between the government, local communities, and the private sector. In an effort to promote sustainability, Indonesia can’t solely rely on the prevention of environmental degradation, but also has to constantly seek for ways to navigate around climate change concerns, and strive for innovations that can solve environmental problems, particularly through environmental projects. This research aims to analyze the potential of investment incentives in promoting investments in environmental projects in Indonesia. By using normative legal research method and statutory approach, analysis of this research finds that there is a lack of environmental constitutional will, manifested within the Investment Law, along with the lack of nation-wide regulation support to provide incentives for environmental projects. Analysis of this study suggests that the revision of the Investment Law can help fill the normative gap, along with streamlining nation-wide efforts in realizing Sustainable Development Goals.
