Abstract

This research aims to analyze the causes of students’ misconceptions in addition and subtraction with unlikedenominators, along with their solutions, based on a fishbone diagram. This study was qualitative research with a collective case study design. The research subjects were students who experienced misconceptions in adding and subtracting fractions with unlike denominators. The result of this research was caused by student misconceptions in addition to the subtraction of fractions, unlike denominators, which are classified based on six aspects in the fishbone diagram: man, machine, method, material, measurement, and environment. This causes errors in calculation operations involving numerators and denominators without equalizing fractions, the absence of visual aids for fractions that are unlike denominators, limited teacher mobility in teaching, and a non-conducive classroom atmosphere. Moreover, the language used in textbooks may not be relevant to students’ cognitive levels, and there may be subjectivity in teachers’ assessments of student answers. Peer tutors who provide incorrect explanations to their friends, the existence of certain friendship groups, and high-category students with low communication abilities. Understanding the causes of these misconceptions can be a reference for teachers to prevent misconceptions in students.

Abstract

Social media use is growing rapidly in this modern era, especially Instagram. The emergence of online communities on Instagram helps audiences to fulfill their needs. On the Instagram platform there is one community account for young women in Indonesia, namely @rahasiagadis, which helps provide positive energy and interaction space to its followers. This study aims to understand whether there is an influence of social media use on the suitability of the self-image of the Instagram followers of @rahasiagadis. This study uses New Media theory and uses and gratification theory. This study applies New Media theory and uses and gratification theory. This theory argues that people actively seek out certain media and content to produce satisfaction.  Using quantitative methods and survey methods. The group of people in this study are Instagram followers @rahasiagadis. The data collection technique used in this study was the distribution of questionnaires to 100 respondents who were identified by purposive sampling with non-probability techniques. Validity test, reliability test, normality test, simple linear regression analysis, T test, correlation coefficient test and determination coefficient test were carried out on the data obtained. Through this research, a simple linear regression equation Y = 11.549 0.218X was obtained with a significance value (Sig) of 0.001. The t-test also shows the effect of using social media on increasing the suitability of the self-image of Instagram account followers @rahasiagadis. Seiring perkembangan zaman di era modern ini, penggunaan media sosial semakin berkembang pesat terutama Instagram. Munculnya komunitas online di Instagram membantu khalayak untuk memenuhi kebutuhan mereka. Pada platform Instagram terdapat salah satu akun komunitas untuk perempuan muda di Indonesia yaitu @rahasiagadis yang membantu memberikan energi positif dan ruang interaksi kepada para pengikutnya. Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan yaitu untuk memahami adakah pengaruh penggunaan media sosial terhadap kesesuaian citra diri pengikut Instagram @rahasiagadis. Dalam penelitian ini menerapkan teori media baru dan teori uses and gratification. Teori ini berpendapat bahwa orang secara aktif mencari media dan konten tertentu untuk menghasilkan kepuasan.  Menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan metode survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu followers Instagram @rahasiagadis. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penyebaran kuesioner kepada 100 responden yang diidentifikasi secara purposive sampling dengan teknik non-probability. Uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji normalitas, analisis regresi linier sederhana, uji T, uji koefisien korelasi, dan uji koefisien determinasi dilakukan terhadap data yang diperoleh. Melalui penelitian ini diperoleh persamaan regresi linier sederhana Y = 11,549 0,218X dengan nilai signifikansi (Sig) sebesar 0,001. Uji T juga menunjukkan pengaruh penggunaan media sosial terhadap peningkatan kesesuaian citra diri followers akun Instagram @rahasiagadis.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the causal inference thinking of PPG PGSD students in solving mathematical problems. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. The subjects of this research were four pre-service PPG students from PGSD UM. The instruments for this research include researchers, indicator rubrics, validation sheets, researcher notes, mathematical problems, internet networks, laptops, and handphones. Research subjects as data sources produce data that is analyzed in the form of written answers and recorded interviews. The qualitative data analysis technique used in this research is the interactive model. The results of this research show that fast causal inference thinking is characterized by expressing familiarity with mathematical problem solving, expressing familiarity with accessing digital platforms to solve mathematical problems, accessing digital platforms with keywords, correlating the characteristics of information with specific digital platforms, and Accessing specific digital platforms spontaneously. Slow Causal Inference Thinking is characterized by accessing more than one digital platform to understand a piece of information and read the math problem text repeatedly. The digital platforms that the subjects considered to be a solution were the Google and YouTube platforms.

Abstract

Numerasi merupakan salah satu kompetensi esensial abad ke-21 yang harus dimiliki oleh calon guru Sekolah Dasar (SD) mengingat peran strategis guru dalam menumbuhkan numerasi siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tingkat pemenuhan indikator numerasi calon guru SD dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis studi kasus kolektif dengan instrumen pendukung meliputi lembar tugas dan pedoman wawancara semi-terstruktur yang telah disesuaikan dengan indikator numerasi. Instrument tersebut divalidasi melalui metode expert judgement checklist dengan melibatkan dua orang doktor pendidikan matematika. Subjek penelitian adalah 19 mahasiswa program PPG prajabatan PGSD Universitas Negeri Malang yang kemudian dipilih masing-masing 1 subjek dengan teknik purposive sampling untuk penyajian data sebagai hasil penelitian. Teknik analisis data kualitatif yang digunakan untuk menganalisis seluruh jawaban subjek penelitian ini adalah interaktif mecangkup tahapan pengumpulan data, penyajian data, kondensasi data, dan penarikan simpulan/verifikasi. Selanjutnya, data divalidasi dengan menggunakan metode triangulasi dan member checking. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 3 tingkatan pemenuhan indikator numerasi antara lain, (1) calon guru SD mampu memenuhi ketiga indikator soal cerita numerasi, (2) calon guru SD mampu memenuhi dua dari tiga indikator soal cerita numerasi, dan (3) calon guru SD mampu memenuhi satu dari tiga indikator soal cerita numerasi. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa belum semua calon guru memiliki kecakapan numerasi yang memadai untuk mendukung pembelajaran bermakna di kelas. Oleh karena itu, temuan ini selanjutnya direkomendasikan sebagai landasan dalam upaya peningkatan numerasi calon guru SD sebelum menjalani peran sebagai pendidik profesional di dunia kerja.

Abstract

Hyperemesis gravidarum is a condition in which patients with nausea and vomiting are more than 10 times in 24 hours, so that their daily work is disrupted and the general condition becomes worse. > 80% of pregnant women in Indonesia experience hyperemesis gravidarum occurs 1-3% of all pregnancies in Indonesia. And pregnant women who experience hyperemesis gravidarum as much as 50-90% are often found in the 1st trimester of pregnancy. Knowledge, social environment and family support are one of the risk factors for hyperemesis gravidarum. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge, social environment and family support of pregnant women with Hyperemesis Gravidarum at PMB Bd A Bogor for the period 2021-2022. This research uses descriptive analytic with cross sectional approach. The population of this study amounted to 30 pregnant women with Hyperemesis Gravidarum and the sampling technique used was total sampling with a sample of 30 people. In this study, the instrument used was a questionnaire given to respondents which contained questions or statements using the Guttman scale. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between knowledge and the incidence of Hyperemesis Gravidarum obtained a P value of 0.001 and the results of OR = 13,938 social environment with the incidence of Hyperemesis Gravidarum obtained a P value of 0.022 and the results of OR = 7.851, and family support with the incidence of anemia obtained a P value Value 0.019 and the result OR = 8.108. Suggestions from this study are for students to add more knowledge, especially regarding Hyperemesis Gravidarum in pregnant women.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the subject-object position and writer-reader position in the discourse of reporting femicide via the Tribun News YouTube page using the Sara Mills model of discourse study analysis. The method in this research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The data collection technique was carried out using listening techniques, namely listening without being involved, listening, recording and taking notes. The data source used in this research comes from the Tribun News YouTube page for the 2019-2024 period. The results of the analysis show that from the Tribun News video, 9 news stories were found that indicated the issue of femicide which placed the perpetrator as an active subject and the victim as a passive object. News writers act as conveyers of information who often take a neutral position but have a big influence in shaping readers' views. Through word choice and narrative focus, the author can move the reader's emotions to feel sympathy for the victim and hatred for the perpetrator. Readers, on the other hand, are positioned as recipients of information who are expected to respond emotionally to the events reported, especially through the presentation of the often dramatic and horrific details of the crime.

Abstract

Permasalahan sistem informasi dan administrasi Pendidikan Profesi Guru Universitas Negeri Malang (PPG UM) adalah belum tersedianya wadah terintegrasi untuk mendokumentasikan dan menampilkan karya-karya mahasiswa PPG UM secara profesional. Untuk itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Galeri Digital sebagai media showcase akademik dan portofolio profesional bagi mahasiswa PPG UM yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D). Partisipan penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa PPG Universitas Negeri Malang. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menghasilkan kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan Galeri Digital. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui instrumen untuk menilai website Galeri Digital. Instrumen yang dikembangkan diantaranya, yaitu (1) lembar validasi ahli untuk uji validitas, (2) lembar observasi, pedoman wawancara semi terstruktur, dan alat perekam wawancara untuk uji kepraktisan, serta (3) angket respons pengguna untuk uji keefektifan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Galeri Digital memperoleh tingkat validitas sebesar 91,67% dari ahli konten dan 92,67% dari ahli media teknologi sehingga dinyatakan sangat valid. Sementara itu, Galeri Digital dinilai sangat praktis berdasarkan observasi platform pesaing dan hasil wawancara ahli. Lebih lanjut, Galeri Digital memperoleh persentase sebesar 89,55% pada uji keefektifan, sehingga termasuk dalam kategori sangat efektif. Dengan demikian, Galeri Digital terbukti valid, praktis, dan efektif digunakan sebagai media showcase akademik untuk mahasiswa PPG UM.

Abstract

Mathematics learning must consider students’ diverse needs to achieve optimal outcomes, including differences in learning styles, levels of understanding, and learning difficulties. Applying Bloom’s Taxonomy helps teachers design more effective strategies, yet many still neglect thorough planning, treating it as a yearly routine. To overcome this, teacher collaboration is essential. This study aimed to facilitate a lesson study involving mathematics teachers from the Mathematics Teachers’ Association (MGMPS) in Banyuwangi, junior high school students, pre-service teachers, and mathematics education lecturers. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research was conducted at a junior high school in Banyuwangi. The research used qualitative analysis with observations, reflections, and triangulation to align teaching strategies with students’ learning styles and understanding levels. The findings show that lesson study effectively enhances mathematics learning by accommodating students’ learning diversity. Through the stages of planning, observation, and reflection, teachers developed more responsive and differentiated lessons. Moreover, lesson study promoted professional growth among teachers through collaboration and reflective practice. Overall, lesson study provides a sustainable and adaptive approach to fostering inclusive and high-quality mathematics learning.  Keywords: Lesson study, learning style, mathematics learning
