Abstract

This study aims to describe how the results of improving procedure teks writing skills in Indonesian language learning using Brain Writing learning model in class IV Public Elementary School 17 Manggis Ganting Koto Selayan. This type of research is classroom Action Research using qualitative and quantitative approaches. This research was conducted at Public Elementary School 17 Manggis Ganting Koto Selayan with research subject namely teachers and grade IV students. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in 1) cycle I teaching modules with an average of 85,93% (good) and cycle II with an average score of 93,75% (very good). 2) implementation of the teacher aspect in cycle I the average score obtained was 86,36% (good) in cyle II the average score obtained was 95,45 % (veru good), implementation on the aspect of student in cycle I the average score obtained was 86,36% (good) increased in cycle II with the average score obtained was 95,45% with (veryy good) 3) the result of the assesment of student skills in cycle I with an average score of 77,02%, in cycle II by obtaining a score of 88,04 (good). Based on the result obtained, it can be concluded that the Brain Writing model can improve the skills of sriting prosecural texts in Indonesian languange learning in elementary schools

Abstract

Developing self-confidence is an essential aspect that needs to be nurtured in elementary school students from an early age. This research aims to explore ways to build public speaking skills to enhance self-confidence in elementary school students. This research employs a literature study approach by analyzing various relevant literature. The results show that public speaking skills can help students become more confident, express their opinions bravely, and communicate effectively. Teachers can implement innovative teaching methods such as role-playing, group presentations, and storytelling to practice these skills. Support from the students' surrounding environment also plays a crucial role in developing their self-confidence. This research concludes that building public speaking skills from an early age is essential for elementary school students to boost their self-confidence and prepare them to face future challenges.

Abstract

Keterampilan berbicara pada siswa kelas V SDN 13 Batu Gadang Kota Padang masih rendah. Kebanyakan siswa cenderung diam saja ketika guru meminta untuk berbicara. Apabila siswa menunjukkan keterampilan berbicara, siswa masih terbata-bata, malu, dan ragu-ragu. Selain itu kurangnya penggunaan media pembelajaran di kelas. Hal ini tentu membuat proses pembelajaran terhambat sehingga siswa tidak dapat berpartisipasi aktif dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini secara umum adalah menguji pengaruh penggunaan podcast terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas V SDN 13 Batu Gadang Kota Padang. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan factorial design 2x2. Kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol dipilih dengan purposive random sampling. Data dianalisis dengan uji t-test dan analisis varian dua arah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan hasil belajar yang signifikan antara siswa yang diajar dengan penggunaan podcast daripada siswa yang diajar dengan pendekatan konvensional, dan antara kelompok siswa yang bermotivasi belajar tinggi dan rendah

Abstract

The School Literacy Movement program in Indonesia which has been run in elementary schools was still minimal with current reading resources, less inviting students to think ahead, and developing a monotonous attitude. It was necessary to produce the latest children's reading books such as imaginative tales that present stories related to technological developments. Producing imaginative fairy tales was the aim of this research. The study was conducted using a mixed-method with the Plomp development model. The Plomp development model has three steps: preliminary research, prototyping phase, and assessment stage. The research results at the preliminary research that students like imaginative tales and need new stories every morning before learning begins. In the prototyping phase is produced a valid and practical imaginative fairy tale book. Imaginative fairy tale book was designed using the Adobe Photoshop program. The imaginative fairy tale book that was developed was able to provide new ideas for students who read it. Besides, the development of a positive attitude is also included in the story, making it easier for teachers to educate students in elementary school

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya penggunaan multimedia interaktif pada pembelajaran menulis teks nonfiksi kelas V Sekolah Dasar yang menyebabkan rendahnya hasil pembelajaran menulis. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menghasilkan multimedia interaktif menggunakan Smart Application Creator yang valid, praktis, dan efektif serta mampu meningkatkan hasil pembelajaran menulis teks nonfiksi peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pengembangan dengan model ADDIE dengan lima tahapan yaitu: analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan lembar validasi, angket respon guru, angket respon peserta didik, nilai pretest dan posttest. Subjeknya yaitu guru dan peserta didik kelas V SDN 01 Koto Tuo, SDN 02 Koto Tuo, dan SDN 03 Koto Tuo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan multimedia interaktif sangat valid, sangat praktis dan memperoleh rata-rata N-Gain dalam kategori tinggi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa multimedia interaktif menggunakan Smart Application Creator sudah layak dan efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil pembelajaran menulis teks nonfiksi di kelas V Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the improvement of students' reading comprehension skills through the Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) strategy. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This research was carried out in two cycles with the research subject of grade V students of UPTD SDN 03 Simalanggang, which consisted of 20 students. The results of the research conducted showed an increase in cycle I to cycle II, namely the percentage of average assessment of teaching modules in cycle I meeting 1 was 82%, cycle I meeting 2 increased to 89%, and in cycle II it increased to 96%. The average assessment percentage of teacher aspects in cycle I meeting 1 was 75%, cycle I meeting 2 increased to 83%, and in cycle II it increased to 96%. The average assessment percentage of student aspects in the first cycle of meeting 1 was 82%, the first cycle of meeting 2 increased to 85%, and in the second cycle it increased to 96%. The average assessment of students' reading comprehension skills in the first cycle of meeting 1 was 70.75, the first cycle of meeting 2 increased to 80.32, and in the second cycle it increased to 90.2. Thus, the implementation of the Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) strategy can improve students' reading comprehension skills in elementary schools

Abstract

This research aims to improve procedural text writing skills using the Somatic Auditory Visual Intelectual (SAVI) learning model in grade IV of SD Negeri 01 Sungai Beremas, West Pasaman Regency. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research and is carried out in two cycles with the stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research subjects were grade IV students of SD Negeri 01 Sungai Beremas, with data collected through test and non-test techniques, while research instruments were through test sheets and non-tests. Data analysis was carried out in a descriptive manner. The results show that the use of the SAVI model can significantly improve procedural text writing skills. First, in the first cycle, the average score in the aspect of the Teaching Module 90 with qualification (A) increased, which increased in cycle II, namely obtaining an average of 95 with qualification (A). The results of the observation of the teacher aspect and the student aspect of the first cycle of the first meeting obtained the same score, namely 83.33 with good qualifications (B) and increased in the first cycle of the second meeting to 87.5 in the aspect of teachers and students. The average score for teacher and student activities in the first cycle of meetings I and II was 85.41 with Good (B) qualifications. In the second cycle, scores for teacher activities were obtained of 95.83 and student activities of 95.83 with very good qualifications (A).

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kurang optimalnya pelaksanaan kegiatan berbicara dalam pembelajaran yang berdampak pada rendahnya keterampilan berbicara peserta didik di kelas IV UPTD SD N 01 Suayan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan, pelaksaan dan peningkatan keterampilan berbicara menggunakan model Time Token Arends. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan 2 siklus. Siklus I terdiri dari 2 pertermuan dan siklus II terdiri atas 1 pertemuan. Pada setiap siklus ini meliputi empat tahapan, di antaranya adalah perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Hasil observasi pada tanggal 7 dan 14 Oktober 2024 dari permasalahan diatas berdampak pada hasil belajar peserta didik, yang terdiri dari 21 orang peserta didik yang terdiri dari 10 perempuan dan 11 laki-laki. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik tes dan non tes. Pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kualitatif dan pendekatan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan siklus 1 modul ajar dengan rata-rata 82,81% dengan kriteria baik (B) meningkat pada siklus II dengan rata-rata nilai 96,87 dengan kriteria sangat baik (SB). Pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran pada aspek guru siklus I memperoleh rata-rata 79,16% dengan kriteria cukup (C) meningkat pada siklus II dengan nilai rata-rata 97,91% dengan kualifikasi sangat baik (SB). Pelaksanaan pembelajaran pada aspek siswa siklus I memperoleh rata-rata 76,04% dengan kualifikasi cukup (C) meningkat pada siklus II dengan nilai rata-rata 95,83% dengan kriteria sangat baik (SB). Hasil keterampilan berbicara siswa pada siklus I memperoleh rata-rata 68,8% dengan kriteria kurang dan meninkat pada siklus II yaitu memperoleh rata-rata 91,06% dengan kriteria sangat baik (SB). Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan model Time Token Arends dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using ice breaking in increasing students' learning motivation in elementary schools. The research method used is a literature study with a qualitative approach. The analysis results show that the application of ice breaking in learning in elementary schools has a positive and significant impact on students' learning motivation. Ice breaking can make students more active, enthusiastic, and focused on learning, thus improving their learning outcomes. Learning motivation is an important factor in learning, as it can affect various abilities and student learning outcomes. Therefore, teachers need to understand and foster motivation for learning in students using ice breaking in the learning process so that students can achieve success in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the Example Non Example Type Cooperative Learning model to improve the speaking skills of class II students of SDN 18 Air Tawar Selatan.This type of research is classroom action research using qualitative and quantitative approaches. This research was conducted in two cycles, cycle I consisting of 2 meetings and cycle II consisting of 1 meeting. Each cycle has four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were teachers and class II students totaling 23 people.The results of the cycle I teaching module research, meetings 1 and 2 obtained a percentage of 83.3% 87.5%, increasing in cycle II to 95.83%. Teacher activity in cycle I, meetings 1 and 2 obtained a percentage of 77.5% and 87.5%, increasing in cycle II to 97.5%. Student activity in cycle I, meetings 1 and 2 obtained a percentage of 77.5% and 90%, increasing in cycle II to 97.5%. The learning outcomes of student knowledge in cycle I, meetings 1 and 2 obtained an average of 75.65 and 79.56, increasing in cycle II to 88.26. The results of the skills assessment in cycle I, meetings 1 and 2 obtained an average of 78.07 and 81.62, increasing in cycle II to 87.85. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Example Non Example Cooperative Learning model can improve the speaking skills of grade II elementary school students
