Abstract

This research aimed to evaluate the impact of Agriculture Extension activities by THL TBPP (contract-based extension workers) in the sub-district of Imogiri, Bantul. This research combined quantitative descriptive and qualitative methods. To obtain a profound comprehension on the observed items, data collecting was done by questionnaire, observation and Focus Group Discussions. Instrument validity consisting of validity and factor analysis resulted in r count of a = 5%; > 0.444 in which 18 items are confirmed as valid. The instrument reliability with the alpha cofficient formula all together was equal to 0.918. Quantitative data was processed using the SPSS 17.0 for 14 Wendows. The research recognized improvements in the following points: l) field agriculture extension activities after the THL TBPP program (66.7%o); 2) farmers behavior changes and farm activities (56.7%"); 3) Paddy production increase up to 7.04%; 4) A generally positive impact towards agriculture extension activities at village level compared to before the program existed.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the achievements of the Contract-based Agriculture Extension Workers Program (Program THL TBPP) in D.I. Yogyakarta Province, regarding the programs relevance to the presents needs, the participants characteristics, the quality of the introductory training implementation, the participants role at their respective placement locations, as well as BPP directors and farmer groups perceptions towards the extension workers. The approach in this research uses the CIPP (contex, input, process, product) model by Stufflebeam. The subject includes all 74 program participants, 74 board members of farmer group, and 20 BPP directors. The descriptive quantitative data analysis is done with SPSS 16.00 for Windows. This research reveals that the program is relevant to the need for agriculture extension services, the participantscharacteristics varies in the term of experience and educational background, accordingly introductory training and placement should be taken into consideration. The participantsmotivation at the work is relatively good. The quality of introductory training is relatively good, but need improvement in several aspects. BPP directors and farmer groups perceptions of the extension workers in performing their task are relatively good.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the training programmes for Agricultural Extension Agents in BPP of Gunungkidul Regency, concerning : 1)the relevance of traininng programme with participants needs (2) the characteristics of agricultural extension agents (3) the participation of participants (4) the quality of training program implementation (5) the benefit of training programme to participants and (6) the participants skill in extention implementation. This evaluation research using the CIPP model ( Context, Input Process,Product) developed by Stufflebeam. The subject s were 23 participants of agricultural extention agents and 46 persons farmers.The data were collected using questionaire, interveiws and through observations. The quntitative data were analyzed descriptively by using SPSS 11.0 for windows. The validity of the instrument was examined through the content and construct validity by using the factor analyzis.The reliability of the instrument was examined by using the alpha coefficient. The result of the reserarch shows that: (1)The training program is relevant to the participants needs (2) The characteristic of participant 100 % is civil servent functional ofagriculturl exctention agents, formal education of participants is 4,4% SPMA, 39,13 D3 and 56,52 % D4/S1 with experience as agricultural extention agents 86,95% for more than 15 years (3) The participants participation is in an excellent category (90%)(4) The training program implementation quality is in an excellent category (5) benefit for participant is in an excellent category (6) the farmer percived that in general the extenching skill of the agricultural extention agents is in an excellente category and the main constraint in programme implementation is limited availability of supporting facility for activity. Abstract

This research aims to know farmer's attitude of agricultural extension workers role in the region after earthquake disaster. The data were collected through a survey for farmers who were earthquake victims happened in Bantul, July 25th, 2006. To measure farmer's attitude used score. Results show that earthquake disaster caused many impact of farm. These impacts influenced farmer's attitude patterns including their attitutede's on agricultural extension workers role.

Abstract

This research was aim for describing the farmer perception about black soybean and its realization, and also get the pictures about the factors that influence it by factual. This research used qualitatif-naturalistic approach, collecting data have the character of descriptive in the form of words. This research was counducted in Playen Gunung Kidul in November 2004. The result of research showed that there was no different between yellow soybean and black soybean, in the case of its technical cultivation. Farmers have experiences of soybean planting, so that there was no constraint about black soybean development. The black soybean development constraint emerged from farmer perception which saw that black soybean is difficult to market especially in large quantity, there was no certain market and its price lower than yellow soybean, so that farmer didnt make profit. Factors which were the background of farmer perceptions and influenced the accuracy of perception were internal condition of farmer like farm experience, education / training experience, age, and the condition of farmer external like certainty of price and market. The implication of this research is to develop black soybean need the existence of certainty of market at the equal price with yellow soybean. To change the farmer perception about black soybean, there should be extension action especially about making added value to the farmer. There also should be cooperation, among local government of Gunungkidul, STPP BPTP and other related institution in order to empower the farmer

Abstract

ABSTRACT The Rich Jogja Hotel seeks to maximize service in this case services related to products produced by the kitchen according to the outlets owned to satisfy guests. With these problems, research is carried out using qualitative research methods, where this research is carried out by collecting data based on research including observation, documentation, data analysis and literature review from various sources. The success of kitchen services at each outlet will be supported by the presence of a kitchen in each outlet itself, its location, and staff who participate in carrying out tasks based on responsibilities.
