Abstract

This research is propose the replacement schedule of a critical part of a critical machine in a the clove line of PT. Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk. From the direct observation, the screw conditioning process is the critical process of the the tobacco production in clove line. One of the screw conditioner, Garbuio Dickinson screw conditioner, was observed as the machine with the most downtime in clove line. Further analysis using chart reveals that the motor screw conditioner is the main problem to the machine breakdown. Index of fit calculations were applied to find the time to failure and time to repair distribution by looking at the highest index of fit of each failure distribution. Maximum Likelihood Estimator step was undergone to find the MTTF and MTTR (in hours) for the chosen distribution. Finally, the best time interval to replace the critical part in order to increase the component reliability and machine availability was calculated. Result of this preventive replacement is increases the component reliability by 80% and the machine availability by 0.245%.

Abstract

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the types of gender inequality that occur in the Enola Holmesmovie and describe the woman's struggle against gender inequality by referring to Walby's(1991) and Lakoff’s (2013) theories to explain the representation of women language usedby female characters in the Enola Holmes 2 movie. This study uses a descriptive qualitativeresearch method with data obtained from the film Enola Holmes 2. The result of this studyindicate that there are 24 utterances featuring gender inequality categories by femalecharacters. The findings are that there are five gender inequality categories, namelyviolence and culture (33,33%), the state, household production (12,5%) and paid work(8,34%). The reasons why women struggle against the five categories of gender inequalityare because they want gender equality in all scopes, especially the scope of work, to beequal for everyone. The dominant types of women's language used in the Enola Holmes 2movie are rising intonation on declarative, intensifiers, and emphatic stress to emphasizethe utterance's meaning, and super-polite forms to show respect and politeness and revealthe social class of the women. Keywords: Gender Inequality, Woman Language, Enola Holmes Movie

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the contribution of the Neuro Dominance Science (NDS) program in improving students' creative communication skills and the completion of six tasks as a result of the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework called KKNI, with six (6) tasks of KKNI. This study uses qualitative and quantitative method in analyzing the data. The participants in this study were 50 students of English language and Literature Department, Universitas Negeri Medan that completed NDS workshop as one of the programmed of Creative Innovative Communication (CIC) subject at the fourth Semester. Data was collected through a questionnaire made in the form of a Google form to measure students' creative communication abilities and completion of KKNI assignments. The results of this study indicate that the NDS program has a significant contribution to improving students' creative communication skills. Quantitative data analysis shows an increase in scores on creative communication assessment after students join the NDS program. In addition, the NDS program also assists students in completing the six tasks required by the KKNI, such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration. This research provides valuable insight into the contribution of the NDS program in improving students' creative communication skills and completing KKNI assignments. The results of this study can be used by policymakers and educators to consider implementing the NDS program in schools as an effort to improve students' skills in creative communication and achievement of KKNI tasks.

Abstract

In a broad sense, the management of plastic waste can be approached through the implementation of the 3R framework, which encompasses the principles of Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle. In this endeavor, a process of socialization was undertaken with students from SMA Negeri 2 Darul Makmur pertaining to the issue of waste management, specifically focusing on the potential for recycling and reusing waste materials to generate substantial value. The utilization of waste is facilitated through the implementation of the 3R concept, thereby offering enhanced educational opportunities for participating students. Students will gain a deeper understanding of the recycling process for high-value waste, which is integral to effective waste management. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to witness firsthand the tangible outcomes of transforming plastic waste into liquid fuels. The engagement of students from SMA Negeri 2 Darul Makmur in socialization activities pertaining to the utilization of plastic waste has facilitated a deeper comprehension of waste management processes and the advantages associated with such endeavors. Conversely, students have the potential to utilize plastic waste for practical purposes that are deemed essential in their daily lives.

Abstract

In recent years, the intersection of neurobehavioral science and human literacy has garnered significant attention, particularly concerning its potential to enhance character development through creative communication. This study aims to investigate how neurobehavioral strategies can be employed to enhance literacy and character development. This research uses a qualitative and quantitative mix method with a neurobehavior approach. In producing products, this research also uses Research and Development (R&D). The research instrument uses a Google form. This research involved 100 students of English Literature Study Program at UNIMED who took the Creative and Innovative Communication course. Firs finding, students predominantly answered ‘agree’ that environmental, socio-economic, media and technology, academic, and leadership factors influence student character development. Second finding, students were able to answer correctly regarding neurobehavior literacy towards character development so that students' character significantly improved and was reflected in their creative communication. Environmental, socio-economic, media and technology, academic, and leadership factors have a big impact on character development. Therefore, based on the neurobehavior approach, we need to have a variety of literacy that supports positive character and experiences. This research will continue regarding how our brains have an impact on increasing creative communication and developing Emotional intelligence with other innovative approaches.
