Abstract

The phenomenon of dual earner families, where both parents work outside the home, is increasingly prevalent in modern Indonesian society. This study aimed to examine early childhood care efforts in dual earner families in Indonesia. This research uses a literature review method with a scoping review technique to select relevant literature. Literature sources were searched online through the Google Scholar database through the Publish or Perish (POP) application, SpringerLink and ScienceDirect websites, and google searches. The results showed that dual earner families face significant challenges in balancing the demands of work with childcare. Although this model provides economic benefits, time constraints often lead to dependence on external caregivers, which can have an impact on child development, especially in parent-child interactions. Key challenges include sociological, psychological, economic and policy aspects. To address this, a comprehensive strategy involving supportive policies, the role of communities, the utilization of technology, as well as government intervention in providing supportive infrastructure is required. This research is expected to be an initial stepping stone for further empirical studies that are more in-depth about early childhood care in dual earner families in Indonesia

Abstract

Penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka dalam Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) bertujuan untuk meningkatkan fleksibilitas, kreativitas, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis anak. Keberhasilan implementasi kurikulum ini sangat bergantung pada persepsi guru, yang dipengaruhi oleh pemahaman, pengalaman, dan kesiapan mereka dalam mengadaptasi pendekatan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman sembilan guru PAUD di Kecamatan Petir, Kabupaten Serang. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, yang dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif dari Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mayoritas guru memiliki pandangan positif terhadap fleksibilitas kurikulum merdeka, namun menghadapi tantangan dalam pemahaman konsep, penyediaan sumber daya, serta resistensi dari orang tua. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pelatihan untuk guru dalam penerapan kurikulum baru dan pergeseran peran guru sebagai fasilitator eksplorasi anak. Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan perlunya kebijakan adaptif dalam mendukung transisi kurikulum dan pengembangan strategi berbasis pengalaman guru untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran di PAUD.

Abstract

bagi ibu dalam mencegah stunting dan menstimulasi perkembangan anak usia dini. Berbeda dari media edukasi lain, booklet ini dirancang berbasis model ADDIE dengan pendekatan holistik yang mengintegrasikan aspek pendidikan, kesehatan, dan gizi sesuai konsep PAUD HI. Melalui uji coba terbatas (6 guru), 83,3% menyatakan booklet layak digunakan tanpa revisi, sementara 16,7% menyarankan perbaikan kecil. Pada uji coba skala luas (20 ibu di dua PAUD), 90% menilai booklet siap digunakan, dan 10% mengusulkan revisi minor. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa booklet ini praktis, relevan, dan efektif sebagai sarana edukasi keluarga. Implementasinya dapat diperluas melalui program PAUD dan layanan kesehatan ibu-anak, memperkuat kolaborasi antara guru, tenaga kesehatan, dan orang tua dalam mendukung tumbuh kembang anak secara optimal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada hasil pengamatan terhadap kondisi pembelajaran yang memperlihatkan adanya kesulitan yang dialami anak untuk membedakan bentuk-bentuk huruf A-Z. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan kemampuan membaca anak menggunakan metode drill. Metode drill dilakukan secara berulang dan sesuai digunakan untuk anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data diambil melalui observasi, wawancara dan diperkuat dengan dokumentasi yang dilakukan kepada pendidik dan 15 anak kelompok usia 5-6 tahun. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian berupa peningkatan kemampuan membaca anak yang ditunjukkan dengan tingginya tiga diantara sepuluh indikator penelitian yang dikembangkan yakni pertama anak dapat menyebutkan dan membedakan bentuk lambang huruf A-Z, kedua anak dapat mengucapkan huruf vokal a i u e o tanpa pengulangan, dan ketiga minat membaca anak semakin meningkat. Penelitian ini dapat direkomendasikan sebagai alternatif upaya untuk membantu proses pengembangan kemampuan anak menggunakan metode drill khususnya membaca ataupun kemampuan lainnya.

Abstract

Despite the increasing integration of digital technologies in early childhood education, there remains a significant gap in comprehensive, trend-based understanding of how these technologies support parental involvement. Existing studies often lack a systematic exploration of publication patterns, thematic focuses, and emerging innovations in this field. This study addresses that gap by analysing the scope and trajectory of research on technology that supports parental involvement in early childhood education using bibliometric review and data mapping techniques. This study examined relevant publications from 2014 to 2023 through computational mapping using VOSviewer software. Bibliometric data from 101 scholarly articles were retrieved via Harzing’s Publish or Perish software and analyzed to generate visualization maps that categorize research themes and trends. Findings indicate fluctuating but overall increasing trends in research output, with notable peaks after 2020, suggesting renewed interest in this domain, particularly following the COVID-19 pandemic. The visualization maps revealed core research themes centered around digital communication tools, parental engagement, and home-school collaboration. These findings have significant implications for future educational practices and policy development. They provide a foundation for enhancing digital strategies that foster equitable and meaningful parent-educator partnerships in early childhood education. Furthermore, they highlight the importance of addressing digital literacy gaps and promoting inclusive approaches in the design and implementation of technology-mediated parental involvement programs.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to cultivate the skill of numbering numbers 1 - 10, and to introduce children to the concept of building space, and children can distinguish large and small sizes through a game of modification of the area Jl. Bojong Raya, Cengkareng, West Jakarta. The method in this study is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. The results of the experiment showed that children's skills have improved from achievement indicators Starting to Develop to Developing As Expected in the ability to number numbers 1-10 without having to be guided by researchers and children have been able to distinguish the shape of the size between large and small space buildings, but in terms of recognizing space builds such as balls, beams, and trapezoids of children aged 4-7 years the achievement indicators obtained are from Undeveloped to Starting Flower. The conclusion obtained through this study is that through this modified traditional game, mathematics learning for early childhood is not boring so children's mathematics skills can experience good improvement in accordance with expectations.

Abstract

This study aims to explore trends in research methods used in the study of bullying in early childhood education settings. Using content analysis of 40 articles published between 2014-2024. The findings show there is an increasing trend of research on the theme of bullying in early childhood education settings. Descriptive qualitative research is the most widely used method. The results revealed that bullying is influenced by individual factors such as aggressiveness and lack of empathy, families with authoritarian parenting and domestic violence, and schools that lack supervision and have a permissive culture. The impact includes physical, mental, social, and emotional disorders, including depression, low self-esteem, and difficulty interacting. Lack of intervention in schools, as well as the normalization of violence in mass media and digital content, further exacerbates bullying behavior by increasing children's aggressiveness. Therefore, the role of teachers, parents, and communities is crucial in creating a safe environment through anti-bullying policies, social emotional skills training, and interventions for victims and perpetrators.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menggali peran dan keterlibatan ayah dalam pengasuhan anak usia dini dengan kebutuhan khusus, terutama yang mengalami gejala hiperaktivitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus untuk penyelidikan mendalam dalam konteks dunia nyata. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Taman Cimuncang Indah, Serang, Banten, dengan tiga subjek: SR (anak berusia 5 tahun dengan gejala hiperaktivitas, tanpa didiagnosis sebagai gejala dari gangguan ADHD), ayah kandung SR (RM), dan ibu kandung SR (N). Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan studi dokumentasi kegiatan ayah dan anak. Data dianalisis dengan teknik triangulasi untuk memastikan validitas data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan ayah penting dalam mengelola perilaku hiperaktif anak melalui aktivitas fisik dan interaksi harian yang mempererat ikatan emosional. Namun, tantangan seperti pengelolaan emosi, manajemen waktu, dan stereotip sosial mengenai peran ayah memerlukan perhatian lebih. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan pengasuhan positif bagi ayah dan pendekatan yang responsif terhadap kebutuhan anak sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pengasuhan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dampak pola komunikasi keluarga terhadap interaksi sosial anak usia dini melalui studi kasus pada dua anak di RA Al-Hikmah yang berasal dari keluarga dengan pola komunikasi consensual dan laissez-faire. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, melibatkan wawancara kepada orang tua dan guru serta observasi langsung interaksi sosial anak di kelas. Data dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara pola komunikasi keluarga dan bentuk interaksi sosial anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa anak dari keluarga dengan pola komunikasi consensual cenderung menampilkan interaksi sosial asosiatif seperti kerja sama, empati, dan partisipasi aktif, sedangkan anak dari keluarga dengan pola laissez-faire menunjukkan kecenderungan interaksi disosiatif, menarik diri, dan kurang berinisiatif dalam situasi sosial. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya komunikasi keluarga yang terbuka, responsif, dan suportif sebagai fondasi keterampilan sosial anak usia dini. Implikasinya, orang tua dan guru perlu membangun kolaborasi dalam menerapkan pola komunikasi yang efektif guna mendukung perkembangan sosial anak, sementara pembuat kebijakan pendidikan dapat memanfaatkan hasil penelitian ini untuk merancang program parenting berbasis komunikasi positif.
