This research employed the Research and Development method, consisting of four phases: the initial phase, the planning phase, the testing, evaluation, and revision phase, and the implementation phase. The testing process was carried out in three stages: an initial trial involving 10 experts and education practitioners. The data were collected through focus group discussions, questionnaires, documents, observations, and interviews. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire instruments were ensured through expert validation. The validity of qualitative data was confirmed through informant review and data triangulation models. Quantitative data analysis was done using descriptive analysis techniques, while qualitative data was analysed using an interactive analysis model. The research findings indicate that the KPK-SW model fosters student well-being. The level of importance, according to users, includes scores of 4.44 from the Head of the Education Department of DIY, 4.39 from school supervisors, 3.32 from the Secondary Education Office, and 4.38 from education experts. Abstract

The digital landscape is transforming perspectives and approaches within the modern tourism industry. In previous eras, the approach to tourism was centered on exploiting natural beauty. Today, the focus has shifted towards the narrative of tourist experiences. Furthermore, the rising popularity of culinary tourism through social media and mass media channels has played a role in this paradigm shift. One country with popular culinary products is Thailand. This research will analyze how the phenomenon of culinary promotion in Thailand can be seen as a practice of gastrodiplomacy executed through a digital branding strategy. This study employs a qualitative research approach with a case study strategy. Data was collected using an open-ended online questionnaire. Research informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The criteria for informants were undergraduate students aged 18-25 who are active users of various social media platforms. This study found that culinary-based tourism promotion strategies on digital platforms can persuade audiences. Culinary content on digital media not only fosters the intention to travel but also awakens gastronomic curiosity—the desire to experience cuisine firsthand in its place of origin. Two key elements of content quality were identified: the authenticity of personal storytelling and visual quality. Both elements play a role in the promotional effectiveness of culinary content. The anatomy of the most appealing advertisement for the audience is content that can present a complete experiential narrative, centers on the authenticity of street food, and values the process of creating culinary products as a cultural art form. These findings offer a strategic model for countries with similar potential, particularly Indonesia, to optimize gastronomy as a tool for tourism promotion on the global digital stage.

Abstract

One of the pressing issues facing the Indonesian press is the lack of regeneration. Young people seem to have no interest in pursuing journalism as a profession. Yet, the sustainability of the press plays a vital role as a pillar of democracy in Indonesia. This issue underscores the importance of establishing a common understanding and fostering synergy through focus group discussions (FGDs). The purpose of this Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was to identify the root cause of the lack of interest among young people in the profession of journalism and to provide recommendations for solutions to the regeneration problem, ensuring continued interest in this profession for the success of the press in Indonesia. This PkM was held in the form of FGDs using a consultation method to foster synergy with universities. To this end, the Department of Communication Sciences, UNY, collaborated with a partner, the Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI) Yogyakarta. This FGD was useful in addressing the problem of the younger generation's lack of interest in the profession of journalism. The FGD yielded several findings, indicating that prior to the FGD, students had misperceptions about the profession of journalists, including confusion about the concept of journalism, journalism products, and the perception that the profession of journalists is less promising in this era. To address this issue, several recommendations were made. 1) Academics need to adjust the curriculum; they must introduce the spirit of journalism to students, provide basic writing and reading skills, and provide students with relevant skills for the times. 2) Practitioners need to provide facilities and regulations for young journalists and offer alternative business models. 3) Students need to increase their capacity for collaborative projects and their interest in journalism. Even in the digital era, students need to realize the importance of developing writing and reading skills as the foundation of journalism.
