Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

The skincare industry has become an important part of the modern lifestyle, with consumers increasingly concerned about the health and appearance of their skin. However, behind this rapidly growing market, there are big challenges related to illegal skincare products that can harm consumers. One of the main problems faced by consumers in the case of illegal skincare products is the lack of adequate legal protection. Producers of illegal products are often not subject to strict regulations, making it difficult for consumers to obtain compensation or legal enforcement against these producers. Therefore, this research aims to highlight the importance of legal protection for consumers of illegal skincare products. We will discuss the role of consumer protection laws, cosmetic product regulations, and intellectual property rights in protecting consumers from illegal skincare products. The research uses normative legal methods. According to Soekanto & Mamudji (2003), normative legal research is legal research carried out by examining library materials and secondary data. In summary, stricter law enforcement against manufacturers and retailers of illegal skin care products in Indonesia will reduce the prevalence of illegal products on the market and increase consumer protection. This includes a variety of measures, such as active law enforcement, increased sanctions and fines, strengthened production and distribution controls, stricter regulations, and public education and awareness campaigns. The government's efforts to provide consumer protection start from the licensing process, and violations of cosmetics regulations will be subject to administrative sanctions and criminal penalties. Consumers have the right to skin care products that are safe, of high quality, according to the label, and have the right to clear and correct information regarding cosmetic products.

Abstract

North Aceh district has 12,750 ha of idle land that has the potential to be planted with rice. This unused land becomes rice paddies because it has a large enough area and contains elements needed by rice plants. PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda implemented a program to turn sandy land into fertile rice fields called AMELASIR (Amelioration of Sandy Land) with an area of 278 m2. This program is carried out by offering intensive tillage and using ameliorants. The materials added were PIM organic fertilizer, clay, manure, rice straw compost, PIM Polivit and PIM Urea. The results of this program show an increase in rice yield from year to year. In the first growing season the harvest reached 3 tons/ha, in the second growing season it reached 3.45 tons/ha, and in the third growing season the harvest reached 4.5 tons/ha. This area has a faunal biodiversity index H' 3.22 and floral biodiversity H' 2.28. The conversion of idle land into paddy fields also increased the biodiversity of several interesting fauna species, namely 12 bird species, one reptile species, two mammal species, and 20 insect species. The AMELASIR program also made the soil more fertile for some trees so that four tree species, two pole species, eight sapling species and 16 seedling species grew in the area.

Abstract

Social media influencer (SMI) has emerged as one of a powerful approach in building customer’s intention to visit a tourism destination. This research therefore tries to uncover the mechanism on how the dimensions of SMI, namely attractiveness, trustworthiness, and expertise, influence visit intention by incorporating enjoyment as mediator by applying Stimuli-Organism-Response (SOR) Theory. Using purposing sampling, 115 usable samples of those who experienced an SMI’s posts regarding Aceh tourism, are gathered online. Data were analyzed by using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). In testing the hypotheses, we conduct a Bootstrapping procedure using 5000 sub-samplings. The finding highlights that SMIs’ attractiveness and SMIs’ expertise, are found to be a strong predictor of enjoyment, of which has a significant relationship with visit intention. However, SMI trustworthiness failed to predict enjoyment. Except for SMI trustworthiness-visit intention relationship, this study also found the role of enjoyment as mediator for both SMI attractiveness and SMI expertise in predicting visit intention. Consequently, this research pinpoints two routes to obtaining visitors’ intention to visit a tourism site. They are attractiveness-enjoyment-intention and expertise-enjoyment-intention with the second pathway have bigger contribution to visit intention. The findings can be used as a guide to assist tourism destination marketers in developing effective advertising that use SMI to communicate with their visitor and differentiate themselves from the tourism destination intense competition. Abstract

Language serves as a medium of human communication to convey ideas, emotions, and information, both orally and in writing. Each language possesses vocabulary and grammar adapted to the local culture. One of the regional languages that enriches Indonesian as the national language is Minangkabau. This language has four main dialects, namely Tanah Datar, Lima Puluh Kota, Agam, and Pesisir. Within the Pesisir dialect, there are several variations, including the Padang Kota, Padang Luar Kota, Painan, Tapan, and Pariaman dialects. This study discusses the application of Text-to-Speech (TTS) technology to the Minangkabau language, specifically the Pariaman dialect, using the Variational Autoencoder with Adversarial Learning for End-to-End Text-to-Speech (VITS) method. This dialect needs to be preserved to prevent extinction and supported through technological development that broadens its use. The VITS method was chosen because it is capable of producing natural and high-quality speech. The research stages include voice data collection and recording, VITS model training, and speech quality evaluation using the Mean Opinion Score (MOS). The final results show a score of 4.72 out of 5, indicating that the generated speech closely resembles the natural utterances of native speakers. This TTS technology is expected to support the preservation and development of the Minangkabau language in the Pariaman dialect, as well as enhance information accessibility for its speakers.
