Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is as follows. First, describe the interest in reading short story class IX students of SMP N 3 Batusangkar. Second, describe the skills to write a short story class IX students of SMP N 3 Batusangkar. Third, analyze the relationship between interest in reading short stories and short story writing skills class IX students of SMP N 3 Batusangkar. The research data in the form of a score of interest in reading short stories and short story writing skills scores class IX students of SMP N 3 Batusangkar.The results of this study are the following there is a positive and significant relationship between interest in reading short stories and short story writing skills class IX students of SMP N 3 Batusangkar at significant level of 95% and a degree of freedom (df) = n-1 because thitung> ttable ie 6,66> 1 70. Kata kunci: hubungan, minat baca cerita pendek, keterampilan menulis cerita                       pendek

Abstract

Rumberia activities (Rumah Belajar Ceria) are carried out 2 times in seminnggu on Saturdays and Sundays located in Nagori Purwosari, Pematang Bandar District, Simalungun Regency. This Rumberia activity ( Cheerful Learning House) is carried out with the aim of helping Nagori Purwosari's children to be good at reading and counting because the majority of Nagori Purwosari's children are lacking in reading and counting. In addition to teaching about reading and counting we also make a game where these children can more easily learn the lessons taught and make them not bored or tired in learning and this method is very effective in making Nagori children enthusiastic in learning. The service team also often uses a prop to make children more knowledgeable about to make children more knowledgeable about learning. The result of this devotion makes it easier for the children of Nagori Purwosari to understand in accordance with their imagination which makes it easier for them to defend

Abstract

This qualitative research explores peer-assisted learning strategies in vocational school settings, focusing on students' challenges and perceptions in practicing English pronunciation. The study addresses the need for effective speaking skills among vocational students, considering linguistic differences and the influence of mother tongue. Through a case study approach involving multimedia majors, data was collected via classroom observations and structured interviews, analyzed thematically to reveal insights into students' use of online dictionaries and their perceptions of peer assistance. To examine the impact of peer-assisted strategies on English pronunciation skills and collaborative learning perceptions among vocational students. Utilizing qualitative case study design with multimedia students, data collected through observations and interviews highlighted reliance on online dictionaries and varied peer capabilities. Students actively use online dictionaries to enhance pronunciation and collaborative learning. Challenges include peer capabilities and individual learning preferences affecting strategy effectiveness. Peer-assisted strategies, coupled with technology, significantly improve vocational students' English pronunciation. Effective integration requires tailored support and flexible methodologies. Educators should enhance peer-support skills, design collaborative activities, and leverage technology for optimal language learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Biology learning booklet on the topic of "Environmental Issues and Mitigation Efforts" integrated with the local culture of the Paninjauan community in Tanah Datar, as well as to analyze teachers' responses to its development. The booklet is designed to reintroduce local cultural values to students, support the preservation of fading traditions, and enhance motivation to learn Biology through contextual and engaging materials. This research employs a qualitative method, collecting data through questionnaires and interviews involving Biology teachers from various high schools as participants. The findings reveal that the booklet received positive feedback from teachers. It is considered visually appealing and content-rich, making it relevant for Biology learning, as it effectively increases students' motivation while reinforcing local cultural values. Teachers highlighted that integrating local culture into Biology learning is an effective way to achieve holistic educational goals. Therefore, this booklet is deemed suitable as a supplementary learning resource to enrich Biology education and promote the preservation of local cultural values.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to test students' ability to solve mathematical problems using Pythagorean theorem material. The subjects of this study were grade VIII students of SMP Ani Idrus perguruan ERIA, a class consisting of twenty children selected using purposive sampling techniques, where six students were selected based on their ability to the instruments in this study, along with supporting instruments such as test instruments for students' mathematical problem-solving abilities and interview procedures. The findings showed that while students in the high-ability category were able to solve problems, they lacked comprehensiveness in reading questions. Advanced students cannot solve a given problem because they can only understand it. Students who are classified as poor in ability are no longer able to answer the challenges given because they continue to struggle to understand the questions given.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran Sanggar Tari Surya Medal Putera Wirahma dalam melestarikan dan mengembangkan tari Jaipong sebagai implementasi dari nilai-nilai Pancasila, khususnya dalam kerangka ideologi terbuka. Jaipong, sebagai seni tradisional khas Sunda, tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai hiburan, tetapi juga sebagai media edukatif dan budaya yang menanamkan nilai-nilai Pancasila seperti gotong royong, persatuan, dan musyawarah. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi strategi inovatif dalam musik, gerakan, dan kostum yang dilakukan sanggar agar tetap relevan dengan generasi muda tanpa menghilangkan jati diri budaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Jaipong memainkan peran penting dalam memperkuat identitas budaya lokal serta meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya nilai-nilai Pancasila sebagai ideologi yang adaptif dan kontekstual. Penelitian ini juga mengungkap tantangan dalam pelestarian seni tradisional di tengah arus globalisasi dan peran penting komunitas serta lembaga budaya.

Abstract

Audit sistem informasi menjadi bagian penting dalam memastikan bahwa tata kelola teknologi informasi suatu organisasi berjalan dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengaudit Sistem Informasi Manajemen Statistik Satu Data Way Kanan (SIMASSADAWAN) pada Pemerintah Kabupaten Way Kanan menggunakan kerangka kerja COBIT 2019. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pemetaan Enterprise Goals ke IT-Related Goals, serta evaluasi proses dengan domain COBIT 2019, yaitu APO13 (Manage Security), DSS02 (Manage Service Requests and Incidents), DSS03 (Manage Problems), dan MEA01 (Monitor, Evaluate, and Assess Performance and Conformance). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya kesenjangan (GAP) antara tingkat kematangan saat ini dan tingkat yang diharapkan, dengan rata-rata GAP sebesar 1.90. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan, perbaikan dalam tata kelola keamanan, manajemen layanan, serta pemantauan dan evaluasi sistem informasi sangat diperlukan agar SIMASSADAWAN dapat berjalan secara optimal dan memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi kebijakan perlindungan anak di SD Negeri 188 Pekanbaru sebagai upaya menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang aman dan ramah anak. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh masih tingginya kasus kekerasan terhadap anak di lingkungan sekolah yang menimbulkan kekhawatiran terhadap perlindungan hak-hak peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam kepada tiga informan utama yaitu wakil kepala sekolah, dan dua guru kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi kebijakan telah dijalankan melalui pembiasaan lingkungan ramah anak, sistem pelaporan kasus kekerasan, serta komunikasi efektif antara sekolah dan orang tua. Namun, ditemukan beberapa kendala seperti ketidakseimbangan persepsi antara guru dan wali murid, serta tekanan eksternal yang tidak selalu solutif. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa kebijakan perlindungan anak telah berjalan cukup baik namun masih memerlukan penguatan komunikasi, pelatihan guru, serta pengawasan sistemik agar pelaksanaan kebijakan lebih optimal dan berdampak langsung terhadap kesejahteraan anak.

Abstract

The development of digital technology demands an increase in teacher competence in integrating interactive media in the learning process, especially science and mathematics subjects that are often considered difficult by students. The main problem faced by junior high school teachers in Pasar Dua Patumbak Patumbak District Deli Serdang Regency is the limitation in utilizing digital learning media that is interesting and effective. This service activity aims to improve the ability of teachers to design and use digital-based interactive media to support innovative and fun learning. The implementation method includes training, mentoring and hands-on practice of making learning media using simple applications such as Canva, interactive PowerPoint, and Wordwall. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in teacher competence as shown by the evaluation results before and after the training where 85% of teachers experienced an increase in understanding in the use of interactive media and 78% succeeded in making media that was feasible to be applied in the classroom. 82% of teachers felt more confident to be able to apply interactive media in science and mathematics learning. The results of these activities show that structured and practical interactive media training is proven to be effective in improving the quality of teacher teaching and can be an innovative solution for learning in the digital era.
