Abstract

Upacara pernikahan tidak hanya sekadar sebuah pesta yang menampilkan hiburan dan sajian makanan yang nikmat. Akan tetapi, sebuah upacara pernikahan memiliki makna dan doa untuk kedua pengantin serta keluarga dari kedua mempelai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan prosesi pernikahan adat Jawa khususnya pada tradisi temu manten. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mendeskripsikan makna filosofis di bali tradisi temu manten dan uborampe yang digunakan pada prosesi tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data berupa tata cara dan perlengkapan tradisi temu manten yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat Jawa. Sumber data pada penelitian ini didapatkan dari observasi upacara penikahan masyarakat suku Jawa. Terdapat tujuh prosesi yang dilakukan pada tradisi temu manten ini, yaitu Iring-Iringan Pengantin, Balangan Gantal, Wiji Dadi, Sindur, Dulangan, Kacar- Kucur, dan Sungkeman. Semua prosesi tersebut memiliki makna dan doa agar pengantin mendapatkan perlindungan serta dapat hidup berdampingan dengan sejahtera. Selain itu, uborampe yang digunakan dalam temu manten ini menandakan bahwa masyarakat Jawa menginginkan seorang anak yang berumah tangga menjalankan rumah tangganya dengan penuh ketaatan, tanggung jawab, terbebas dari marabahaya, dan tetap hormat kepada orang tua meski sudah berumah tangga

Abstract

This study aims to 1) identify cognitive level features in articles written by lecturers in the field of language and its teaching based on Bloom and Anderson's taxonomy theory and 2) determine the cognitive dimensions represented in lecturers' articles. The type of research used is a descriptive analysis to describe the cognitive level in lecturers' articles on language and its teaching based on Bloom's revised taxonomy by Anderson. The data collection technique used reading comprehension and was analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results showed 1) C6 Creating was the cognitive level with the highest frequency in each feature, but the overall cognitive levels were correlated in constructing applicable, critical, reflective, and creative scientific writing patterns as knowledge and learning development and 2) The dominance of C6 indicates that lecturer articles are written at a high cognitive level, focusing on analytical, reflective, and creative aspects. This dynamic shows maturity in academic thinking by utilizing basic cognitive abilities and integrating higher-order thinking skills to develop scientific innovations. In conclusion, lecturers' articles in the field of language and its teaching have shown significant evolution in the process and cognitive dimensions.

Abstract

This study aims to find sexist language in the speech of female preachers through representation, interpretation, and forms of discrimination in the text. This study used a qualitative phenomenological research method and used critical discourse analysis by Faircloughn as supporting the data. The data shows that females speak more sexist if they talk to the same gender than a different gender. From this phenomenon, the impact on the use of vocabularies that license gender identity by using the terms marked, unmarked, and semantic derogation. There are other relationships with grammar using declarative, imperative, and interrogative sentence types in intentionality modalities; epistemic; deontic; dynamic. This relationship also discussed the uses of mentioning text in a text structures by convection of relationships, structuring, and ordering a text.
