Abstract

Natural Science (Science) learning in elementary schools has an important role in forming students' basic understanding of the natural world and the processes that occur in it. Scientific literacy, which includes the ability to read, write and think critically about science, is a crucial component in science learning. This research aims to explore science learning approaches based on scientific literacy in basic education. Using literature study methods and content analysis, this research examines various aspects related to the implementation of scientific literacy in science learning, such as needs analysis, learning models, learning media, as well as the role of teachers and school facilities in supporting scientific literacy. The research results show that a science learning approach based on scientific literacy can improve students' ability to understand scientific concepts, apply them in everyday life, and develop critical thinking skills and decision-making abilities based on scientific evidence.

Abstract

This research examines integrating cooperative values ​​in Islam and mathematics learning in elementary schools. This study combines descriptive and qualitative methods with a literature study approach. Data was collected from various scientific papers, books, journal articles, and relevant internet sources. This research aims to identify how cooperative values ​​are applied in mathematics learning and analyze their influence on student group dynamics. The research results show that applying cooperative values ​​can increase student activity in learning, improve student attitudes and skills, and enrich their learning experience. The main challenge faced is the readiness of teachers to implement this approach and the necessary curriculum adjustments. Appropriate support for teachers and adaptation of teaching materials are key factors in successfully integrating cooperative values ​​in mathematics learning.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of primary education based on local wisdom in Indonesia. The research aims to explore the integration of local wisdom practices in the curriculum, identify implementation challenges, and formulate efforts to improve the quality of local wisdom-based primary education. The method used is a literature study by analyzing relevant literary sources. The results show that local wisdom can be integrated into various subjects such as Indonesian Language, Science, Civics, Social Studies, and Mathematics through the development of contextual teaching materials, learning media, and teaching methods. The main challenges include limited resources and teachers' understanding of local wisdom. Improvement efforts include teacher professional development, collaboration with local communities, and sustainable education policy support.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran soft skill sebagai inovasi dalam pembelajaran matematika di era digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan mengeksplorasi integrasi soft skill ini mempengaruhi keterlibatan siswa, motivasi belajar, dan pemahaman terhadap matematika, dengan desain penelitian studi kasus. Penelitian menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggabungan soft skill dalam pembelajaran matematika memberikan dampak positif yang signifikan. Siswa yang terlibat dalam pembelajaran berbasis soft skill cenderung lebih termotivasi, terlibat aktif dalam proses belajar, dan mampu mengaplikasikan konsep matematika dalam konteks nyata dengan lebih baik. Namun, kesuksesan integrasi ini juga sangat tergantung pada dukungan dari administrasi sekolah dan kebijakan pendidikan. Administrasi sekolah yang mendukung dan kebijakan yang inklusif sangat penting untuk menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang memfasilitasi pengembangan soft skill siswa. Meskipun demikian, tantangan seperti kurangnya pelatihan guru dalam mengintegrasikan soft skill, serta keterbatasan infrastruktur teknologi, tetap menjadi hambatan yang perlu diatasi. Dengan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang peran soft skill dalam pembelajaran matematika di era digital, diharapkan penelitian ini dapat memberikan wawasan yang berharga bagi pembuat kebijakan, administrator sekolah, guru, dan semua pihak yang terlibat dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan matematika di masa depan

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of a simple practicum in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning on science process skills and abilities.Islamic Religious Education (PAI) on science process skills and critical thinking ability of elementary school students. critical thinking skills of elementary school students. The method used was a quasi-experiment with pre-test and post-test design, involving two groups: an experimental group thaatt participated in the simple practicum and a control grout who learned with traditional methods. The results showed that the experimental group experienced significant improvement in science process skills, with an average pre-test score of 58.3 increasing to 82.7 in the post-test. Meanwhile, the control group only increased by 16.4%. The questionnaire showed that students felt that the simple practicum helped them understand science concepts (average score 4.6) and increased interest in learning science (score 4.7). In addition to In addition, the practicum also contributed positively to the development of students' critical thinking skills (mean score 4.4). This finding supports constructivist learning theory, which emphasizes the importance of hands-on experience to increase students' cognitive engagement. to enhance students' cognitive engagement. Overall, this study shows that simple integrated practicum in learning is effective in improving students' understanding of science concepts and students' critical thinking skills, thus becoming an effective method in science science education in elementary school.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of local wisdom in Southeast Sulawesi in shaping the profile of Pancasila students. The problem of this research is the lack of integration of local wisdom in character education in Southeast Sulawesi, which affects the formation of student character in accordance with Pancasila values. This study uses a library research method by analyzing scientific journals related to local wisdom in Southeast Sulawesi and the profile of Pancasila students. The results show that local wisdom in Southeast Sulawesi has a significant role in shaping the profile of Pancasila students, especially in aspects of character related to social and community awareness. This study also shows that local wisdom can influence the formation of student character through a learning process based on experience and active participation of students in community activities. The impact of this research is that local wisdom in Southeast Sulawesi can be an important component in the development of character education based on Pancasila values, which can help students develop a better profile of Pancasila students. This research can be a reference for the development of character education based on local wisdom and Pancasila values.

Abstract

This study critically examines the role of social communication in enhancing interaction skills among elementary school students, with a specific focus on SD IT Al-Munawwar. Elementary education serves as a vital stage for cultivating social competencies that support meaningful engagement both within and beyond the classroom. Drawing on Durkheim’s theory of social solidarity, the study explores how structured social communication fosters a collaborative and inclusive learning environment. Employing a qualitative research approach, the study involved homeroom teachers and students as participants. The findings indicate that implementing social communication strategies, such as group discussions, interactive learning activities, and creative pedagogical approaches significantly improves students’ ability to interact effectively. Additionally, the study highlights the growing influence of digital platforms on student interactions, emphasizing the need to optimize communication strategies in response to the evolving educational landscape. These insights offer practical recommendations for educators, particularly at SD IT Al-Munawwar, in designing responsive and effective learning methods that address the communication needs of students in the digital era.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze English language competency in the 4.0 era through education and learning. Data collection involved secondary data analysis through reduction and display. The findings indicate that English language competency in Indonesian elementary schools is a locally-content learning subject that enhances student skills by incorporating local wisdom as a resource for learning and development. English language skills are fostered to improve students' vocabulary, communication, and reading abilities, supporting both academic achievements and practical applications outside of education. The implementation of English language competence involves training students to enhance their communication skills in alignment with international knowledge standards. Overall, education and language serve as processes through which students develop soft skills and expand their knowledge base.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze how children with special needs learn English in special education schools, by analyzing pre-learning strategies and the challenges of learning English for children with special needs in Special Schools. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach, this article aims to identify and analyze English language learning models in special elementary schools. Data was collected through Google Form interviews by considering certain characteristics and situations. In the context of learning English for children with special needs, learning designs are prepared based on an analysis of their learning needs and barriers. By designing appropriate learning, the learning process becomes more structured, and learning objectives can be better achieved. A teacher must have creativity, flexibility, commitment to learning progress, and a willingness to continue learning from his students. emphasizes that a teacher, regardless of field of study, who teaches children with special needs must have a strong scientific understanding of disability, its causes, the assessment process, and its implementation. For English teachers, it is crucial to understand the specific aims or targets of English learning for students with special needs. With a strong grasp of learning objectives, teachers can design suitable learning approaches, models, and strategies.
