Abstract

The trend in terrorist acts nowadays is using women as perpetrators with a feminine approach. To respond to the condition, the figure of the Cirebon women ulama takes a very significant role. When women could be recruited as terrorists, it should be easier too to get them back to become agents of peace. This study originally attempts to describe the experiences and efforts of Cirebon women ulama in the process of socio-religious transformation in the Cirebon society towards a better direction, namely counteracting religious-based intolerance in Cirebon. This study was conducted through a descriptive qualitative method with a phenomenology approach. Primary data were obtained through documentation study, interviews, and direct observations with Cirebon women activists from various community organizations and non-governmental organizations. The results showed that there are several strategies used by Cirebon women ulama in countering religious radicalism such as (1) developing religious literacy among Cirebon society; (2) shifting communication patterns from monolog to dialog; (3) reviewing curriculum and the process of learning; (4) live-in with other religious communities and beliefs, and (5) establish institutional networking.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has a multidimensional impact, including threatening family resilience. Psychological pressure, as well as an increase in the burden of household domestic work due to concentrated activities (work, school) at home, can give rise to family conflicts that lead to domestic violence and divorce. This study aims to offer a Mubadalah concept as a perspective and methodology in building family resilience. The results show that (1) Mubadalah is a perspective of reciprocity between men and women in carrying out their gender roles both in the domestic and public area so that one does not hegemonize over another but a relationship that supports, cooperates, and helps each other; (2) Mubadalah can be a method of reading texts and contexts around family issues; and (3) Mubadalah is an Islamic moderating perspective between gender and patriarchal regimes. This perspective allows for a balanced relationship and partnership between the two sexes and is not just a transformation of thoughts from patriarchy to matriarchy. Through approach a companionship and non-hierarchical relationship between family members, family resilience can be built.

Abstract

This descriptive research aimed to analyze and describe the learners profile of Senior High School students at A Private Senior High School Cirebon in the academic 2022/2023. The subject of this study is the tenth grade students of Senior High School Cirebon. There were 4 students and 1 English teacher who were choosen as the subject of the study. Interview and literature review technique was applied in determining the subject. In order to collect the data for this study, the interviewed by face to face directly to find out how many characteristics Learners Profile their have in 21st century and find out the factors students have to make them successful as English students in 21st century. The research finding show that students get six characteristics of Learners Profile such as students have critical thinking, collaboration, a good communication, have creativity skill, have innovation think and their have own self-direction. To be a successfull English students must have grow a sense of motivation within yourself, have supportive learning community surround them and students uses media technology in learning English.

Abstract

Anti-social behaviors in children is now common. Aggressive behavior, bullying, egocentrism, fighting, prejudice and so on indicate the failure of parenting and teacher education to social and emotional development in children. This study aims to analyze the development of children's social emotions from an Islamic perspective. Through the literature study approach, there are 3 stages of social emotional development in Islam: (1) the first stage starts from birth to 7 years of age. At this stage, ethics education must be taught to children through continuous stimulus, response and imitation because the child's cognitive development is not yet perfect; (2) the second stage starts from 7 to 15 years of age. This stage is called the tamyiz stage in Islam. Children can tell the difference between good and bad. At this stage parental supervision should be increased; and (3) the third stage from 15 years of age and over. Children must already have knowledge, understanding and habits of commendable behavior, because this praiseworthy behavior is always repeated and accustomed to in the first and second stages. In this case, the family plays an important role in shaping the personality of children who are mature in dealing with problems that arise along with social and emotional development. In Islam, the problems faced by children will definitely be in accordance with their respective capacities and can still be overcome. Through problems, their faith and devotion were tested by Allah SWT. Patience and fortitude are one's potential. With intelligence given by God, children can easily know and understand the nature of every challenge and difficulty. Therefore, children must always be educated so they always have positive prejudice (husnudzan) rather than negative prejudice (suudzan), both for themselves, others and Allah.

Abstract

Perempuan Muslim Generasi Z berada di tengah persimpangan nilai agama, tradisi, dan pengaruh modernitas, terutama melalui penggunaan media sosial seperti TikTok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konstruksi identitas diri, mengeksplorasi bentuk komunikasi, serta mengidentifikasi pengaruh TikTok terhadap pembentukan identitas sosial perempuan Muslim Gen Z. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif studi kasus, data diperoleh melalui observasi dan wawancara terhadap lima mahasiswa perempuan Muslim dari Prodi BKI UIN Siber Cirebon yang aktif menggunakan TikTok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konstruksi identitas diri mereka dibentuk melalui kombinasi aspirasi pribadi, komitmen spiritual, dan pengaruh lingkungan seperti keluarga, pendidikan, dan media digital. Bentuk komunikasi mereka di TikTok mencakup aktivitas pasif sebagai penonton, pembuatan konten bernuansa hiburan yang disisipi pesan religius, serta penggunaan simbol visual seperti hijab untuk menampilkan identitas keislaman. TikTok berperan signifikan sebagai ruang ekspresi dan pembentukan identitas, sekaligus menghadirkan tantangan berupa norma sosial yang lebih lentur dan tekanan dari komentar negatif. Meskipun demikian, dengan literasi digital yang baik, mereka mampu menjadikan TikTok sebagai sarana memperkuat nilai agama dan budaya. Studi ini menegaskan peran strategis media sosial dalam membentuk, menampilkan, dan merawat identitas religius perempuan Muslim Gen Z di era digital.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to explore the strategies used by religious mentors at Al-Ishlah Elementary School in fostering students' spiritual intelligence, identify the challenges they encounter, and examine the efforts made to overcome these barriers. Novelty: The research contributes to the limited empirical literature on spiritual intelligence development at the elementary level within Indonesian Islamic schools, emphasizing the unique role of religious mentorship in character formation and faith-based resilience. Methods: Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with one religious mentor and questionnaires administered to 36 students. Results: The findings reveal that students’ spiritual intelligence levels are predominantly “very high” (52.8%) and “high” (41.7%), indicating a generally strong spiritual foundation. Effective mentoring strategies include daily recitation of Asmaul Husna, congregational Dhuhr prayers, collective Yasin and istighosah, as well as Qur’anic literacy and memorization programs. Conclusions: Despite challenges such as limited concentration, Qur’anic fluency, tardiness, and time constraints, mentors effectively address these issues through psychological understanding, motivational reinforcement, open communication, and reward-based encouragement. The study underscores the vital influence of religious mentorship in nurturing students’ spiritual intelligence and holistic personal growth.

Abstract

The formulation of the Five Pillars of Islam, widely accepted by the majority of Muslims, is not upheld by the Rifa‘iyah sect, who claim that there is only one such pillar. This obvious divergence from the majority view is strongly opposed by the leading religious organizations and has soured the social interactions between Rifa‘iyah and non-Rifa‘iyah communities in Indonesia. This article aims to understand: (1) the nature of the controversy surrounding the single pillar of Islam in Rifa‘iyah belief; (2) the factors that provoke this controversy; (3) the social impact of this controversy on Indonesian society. This research employs a qualitative methodology, with primary data sourced from the writings of Kiai Ahmad Rifa‘i and interviews with several Rifa‘iyah clerics. Findings show the difference is nominal, with faith testimony as the core and others as complements. However, misinterpretations and prejudices have fueled hidden conflicts between Rifa‘iyah and non-Rifa‘iyah communities. This study highlights the value of intellectual diversity in Islamic scholarship and provides practical recommendations to reduce social tensions, including promoting interfaith dialogue, integrating diverse theological perspectives into education, and fostering collaborative community activities. It fosters a more tolerant understanding of Islam in Indonesia.

Abstract

Gaya kepemimpinan adalah sebuah proses yang mengandung suatu unsur yang dapat memberikan pengaruh. Dengan menerapkan suatu gaya kepemimpinan tertentu, dalam sebuah organisasi akan terjalin sebuah kerja sama yang  dapat mewujudkan tujuan organiasasi melalui visi dan misi yang ada. Di dalam pengelolaan organisasi seperti sebuah sekolah, seorang kepala sekolah bisa menerapkan sebuah gaya kepemimpinan tertentu sehingga dapat memberikan pengaruh terhadap perilaku orang lain sesuai dengan situasi kondisi sekolah tersebut. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menemukan bagaimana bentuk gaya kepemimpinan yang kepala sekolah gunakan di SMP Negeri 3 Blado, serta apa saja faktor yang mempengaruhi gaya kepemimpinannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan studi literasi, serta sasarannya adalah guru dan kepala sekolah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan di SMP Negeri 3 Blado dipandang dari perilaku keseharian, pendelegsian tugas, pengambilan keputusan, pengawasan, pengembangan sekolah, komunikasi, motivasi, dan penghargaan. Sedangkan faktor yang mempengaruhi gaya kepemimpinannya antara lain profil diri kepala sekolah, perilaku bawahan, perilaku atasan, serta iklim organisasi sekolah.

Abstract

Sistem among dan kodrat murid berdasarkan pemikiran dari Ki Hajar Dewantara perlu diketengakan kembali dalam proses pembelajaran maupun lingkungan belajar murid. Dengan menerapkan konsep sistem among dan kodrat murid, tidak hanya sisi intelektualnya saja yang didorong untuk dikembangkan, namun lebih dari itu adalah bagaimana murid dapat difasilitasi kebutuhannya berdasarkan karakternya masing-masing. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana sistem among dan kodrat murid menurut konsep yang diajarkan oleh Ki Hajar Dewantara (KHD) dalam proses belajar, dan lingkungan belajar murid di SMP Negeri 3 Blado. Metode yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif, menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data, observasi, wawancara, dan teknik studi literasi, serta sasaran dari penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah beserta guru. Penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa penerapan sistem among di SMP Negeri 3 Blado dilihat dari beberapa bagaimana seorang pendidik mampu untuk karakteristik peserta didik terutama pada aspek: (a) kemampuan dasar yang dimiliki anak, (b) potensi anak sesuai dengan kodrat, (c) kemampuan anak dalam mengungkapkan perasaan, pikiran, dan perbuatan, dan (d) memfasilitasi kemampuan anak untuk mengolah dan mengelola hasil temuannya. Sedangkan penerapan kodrat murid dilihat dari penerapan kodrat alam dan kodrat zaman murid dalam pembelajaran dan lingkungan belajarnya.

Abstract

Abstrak Pemberdayaan komunitas belajar menjadi salah satu strategi penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan kompetensi guru di era Kurikulum Merdeka saat ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kepala sekolah dalam pemberdayaan komunitas belajar di SMP Negeri 2 Warungasem. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif berbasis studi kasus, data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah belum secara optimal dalam membangun dan memberdayakan komunitas belajar, yang tercermin dari rendahnya tingkat kolaborasi guru dan kurangnya penerapan pembelajaran berpusat pada siswa. Meskipun demikian, upaya strategis seperti pelaksanaan In House Training (IHT) mulai membuka wawasan kepala sekolah mengenai pentingnya komunitas belajar. Aktivitas yang dilakukan, seperti refleksi bersama dan berbagi praktik baik, masih terbatas. Penelitian ini menyoroti perlunya peningkatan kompetensi kepala sekolah dalam mengelola komunitas belajar, agar dapat menciptakan lingkungan kolaboratif yang mendukung peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran dan kompetensi guru. Hasilnya diharapkan mampu memberikan panduan praktis bagi pengembangan komunitas belajar yang efektif. Kata Kunci: Peran Kepala Sekolah, Komunitas Belajar, Kurikulum merdeka.
