Abstract

Abstrak: Pengajaran guru matematika SMP Kabupaten Jombang belum sepenuhnya meningkatkan kemampuan argumentasi siswa, dan belum ada perangkat teknologi khusus yang digunakan untuk membantu siswa dalam menyusun, menyajikan, atau mengevaluasi argumen sesuai dengan komponen Toulmin, yaitu data, warrant, qualifier, backing, dan klaim. Masalah ini menjadi fokus utama Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan management pembelajaran guru melalui penerapan perangkat teknologi argumen matematis dan model Infusion Learning. Kegiatan PkM ini melibatkan 32 guru MGMP Matematika SMP Kabupaten Jombang. Tahapan pelaksanaan PkM meliputi pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, Pendampingan dan evaluasi. System evaluasi yang digunakan meliputi tes untuk mengukur pengetahuan peserta terkait dengan materi, observasi untuk mengukur kemampuan managemen pembelajaran guru, dan angket untuk mengevaluasi pelaksanaan kegiatan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman peserta terhadap materi dengan persentase pemahaman peserta sebesar 86%, yang dikategorikan sebagai "baik", skor rata-rata keseluruhan dari semua komponen magemen pembelajaran guru adalah 85,3% pada kategori sangat baik, tanggapan peserta terhadap pelaksanaan kegiatan, kinerja narasumber, dan kepuasan umum juga menunjukkan hasil yang positif. PkM ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi empiris dalam dalam meningkatkan kemampuan managemen pembelajaran guru untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan argumentasi matematis siswa.Abstract: The teaching of middle school mathematics teachers in Jombang Regency has not yet fully enhanced students' argumentative abilities, and no specific technological tools have been used to assist students in constructing, presenting, or evaluating arguments according to Toulmin's components, namely data, warrant, qualifier, backing, and claim. This issue became the main focus of the Community Service Program (PkM), which aims to improve teachers' classroom management skills through the application of mathematical argument technology tools and the Infusion Learning model. The PkM activities involved 32 teachers from the Mathematics Subject Teachers Forum (MGMP) in Jombang Regency. The stages of PkM implementation include training, technology application, mentoring, and evaluation. The evaluation system used includes tests to measure participants' knowledge related to the material, observations to assess teachers' classroom management skills, and questionnaires to evaluate the implementation of the activities. The evaluation results show that the training successfully improved participants' understanding of the material, with a comprehension rate of 86%, which falls under the "good" category. The overall average score across all components of teachers' classroom management was 85.3%, categorized as "very good." Participants' feedback regarding the activity implementation, trainers' performance, and overall satisfaction also showed positive results. This PkM is expected to serve as an empirical reference in enhancing teachers' classroom management skills to better facilitate students' mathematical argumentative abilities.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini dilatar belakangi oleh permasalahan yang dialami oleh mitra. Mitra pengabdian adalah SMP Negeri 1 Jombang. Permasalahan yang dimaksud adalah: (1) Kurangnya pemahaman konsep murid pada operasi bilangan bulat. (2) Belum pernah diterapkan media KandaKo di sekolah mitra. Sehingga solusi yang akan diterapkan oleh tim pengabdi sebagai bentuk pengapdian masyarakat  dengan cara menerapkan media KandaKo sebagai upaya penguatan pemahaman operasi bilangan bulat pada siswa kelas VIIB di SMP Negeri 1 Jombang. Media pembelajaran merupakan media pembelajaran yang digunakan untuk menyampaikan informasi terkait materi operasi perkalian dan pembagian bilangan bulat. Media pembelajaran KandaKo diharapkan dapat membantu memudahkan siswa dalam mengabstraksi dan memahami materi operasi perkalian dan pembagian bilangan bulat. Melalui media pembelajaran KandaKo ini guru beserta siswa mempraktekkan materi operasi perkalian dan pembagian bilangan bulat. Materi yang mencakup pada media ini meliputi penjumlahan, pengurangan, perkalian, dan pembagian bilangan bulat. Metode pelaksanaan melalui tiga tahap, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Hasil pengabdian ini adalah media pembelajaran pembelajaran KandaKo dapat memberikan penguatan pemahaman konsep operasi perkalian dan pembagian bilangan bulat di SMP Negeri 1 Jombang Jombang. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini memberikan dampak positif bagi guru dan siswa melalui pemanfaatan media pembelajaran pembelajaran KandaKo di kelas. Keterampilan guru dalam mengimplementasikan media pembelajaran KandaKo serta motivasi belajar siswa meningkat serta kegiatan pengabdian ini membantu guru menyampaikan materi secara praktis dan mudah dipahami siswa.

Abstract

Students must be equipped with creativity as a 21st century skill. The research objective was to obtain a profile of student creativity in constructing learning media. The method used is observation and in-depth interviews. The researcher is the main instrument and observation guide and interview guide as a supporting instrument. The research subject was one of the students of the mathematics education study program taking the mathematics learning media course. The results of student creativity research, namely the subject of creating new ideas in constructing different mathematics teaching aids, using the basic concepts of multiplication and division of positive integer operations that are formed on boards and there is a touch of technology in the form of lights and barcodes. Subjects apply creative ideas as real contributions in the form of the KoKagi Ke Wort demonstration tool. The creative idea is evident in the use of lights and barcodes that can be copied using a smartphone, so that learning videos and material on prime numbers can be displayed through the LCD projector. Learning videos and practice questions for studying at home via can also be accessed via the link from the barcode.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran matematika dengan media video pada materi penjumlahan bilangan bulat dan kemampuan siswa dalam menjumlahkan bilangan bulat sebelum dan sesudah pemanfaatan media video materi penjumlahan bilangan bulat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan dokumentasi. Sebelum melaksanakan penelitian, video media pembelajaran penjumlahan bilangan bulat telah divalidasi dan dinyatakan layak digunakan oleh ahli materi dan media. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam menjumlahkan bilangan bulat sebelum dan sesudah pemanfaatan media video terdapat perbedaan yang cukup signifikan yaitu dari 0% menjadi 96%. Artinya sebelum penerapan media video pembelajaran tidak ada siswa yang memenuhi indikator penjumlahan bilangan bulat yang sudah ditetapkan. Sedangkan, setelah penerapan media video pembelajaran terdapat 25 dari 26 siswa yang memenuhi 5 indikator penjumlahan bilangan bulat. Walaupun begitu, pembelajaran matematika menggunakan media video pada materi penjumlahan bilangan bulat belum mencapai ketuntasan kelas yaitu 100%. The purpose of this study is to describe the process of learning mathematics with video media on the material of adding integers and students' ability to add integers before and after using video media for adding integers. This study uses a qualitative approach. Methods of data collection using tests and documentation. Before carrying out the research, the instructional media video for adding integers has been validated and declared suitable for use by material and media experts. The results showed that the students' ability to add integers before and after the use of video media had a significant difference, from 0% to 96%. This means that before the application of instructional video media there were no students who met the predetermined integer addition indicators. Meanwhile, after the application of instructional video media, there were 25 out of 26 students who met 5 indicators of adding integers. Even so, learning mathematics using video media on the addition of integers has not yet reached class completeness, which is 100%.

Abstract

Kecerdasan interpersonal dan intrapersonal diperlukan dalam memecahkan masalah matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis profil siswa dengan kecerdasan interpersonal dan intrapersonal dalam memecahkan masalah matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian berjumlah dua. Pemilihan subjek berdasarkan pada skala kecerdasan majemuk. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes, wawancara dan skala penilaian. Instrumen utama adalah peneliti sendiri, sedangkan instrumen pendukung yaitu lembar tes pemecahan masalah, pedoman wawancara dan lembar skala kecerdasan majemuk. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi waktu. Analisis dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data dan simpulan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa subjek berkecerdasan interpersonal dalam memecahkan masalah barisan aritmatika adalah subjek melakukan semua tahapan pemecahan masalah dengan benar tetapi kurang lengkap. Subjek mengkomunikasikan semua ide pemecahan masalah secara lisan dan tulis dengan lancar. Subjek berkecerdasan intrapersonal dalam memecahkan masalah barisan aritmatika adalah subjek melakukan semua tahapan pemecahan masalah dengan keyakinan dan berdasarkan waktu. Subjek menunjukkan kepercayaan diri dan manajemen waktu yang efektif. Interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligence are required to solve mathematical problems. This study aims to analyze the profiles of students with interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligence in solving mathematical problems. This qualitative descriptive study involved two participants selected by multiple intelligences tests. The data collection techniques utilized tests, interviews and rating scales. The main instrument was the researcher himself, while the supporting instruments were the problem solving test sheets, interview guidelines and multiple intelligences scale sheets. The time triangulation was used to validate the data. The data reduction, data presentation and conclusions were conducted in the analysing process. Based on the results of the data analysis and discussion, the study concluded that in solving arithmetic sequence problems the participant with interpersonal intelligence performed all stages of problem solving correctly, but incomplete. The participant communicated all the problem solving ideas in written and spoken forms fluently. The participant with intrapersonal intelligence in solving arithmetic sequence problems confidently and efficiently conducted all problem solving stages. The participant demonstrated good self-confidence and an effective time management.

Abstract

Keterampilan proses berpikir tingkat tinggi dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika diperlukan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian mendeskripsikan proses berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa laki-laki dan perempuan level menganalisis (C4), mengevaluasi (C5), dan mencipta (C6) dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Subjek penelitian 1 siswa laki-laki dan 1 siswa perempuan. Instrumen utama peneliti sendiri, instrumen pendukung tes berpikir tingkat tinggi dan pedoman wawancara. Teknik pengumpulan data mengunakan tes dan wawancara. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi waktu. Teknik analisis data melalui reduksi, penyajian data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian subjek laki-laki (C4), mengenali, menyebutkan hal penting, dan membuat rencana solusi. (C5), memeriksa kebenaran pekerjaan, membuktikan kesamaan luas lahan dan memberikan penilaian. (C6), membuat dua gambar berbeda dari solusi jawaban yang pertama serta membuktikan kesamaan luas. Subjek perempuan (C4), mengenali hal penting dan tidak penting, membuat rencana solusi dengan menggambar lahan, membuktikan kesamaan luas dengan menghubungkan materi sumbu simetri dan rumus luas bangun trapesium. (C5), memeriksa kebenaran hasil pekerjaan dengan menghitung luas lahan serta memberikan penilaian, dan menghubungkan konsep materi sumbu simetri. (C6), membuat satu gambar yang berbeda, tidak membuktikan kebenaran kesamaan luas, dan menghitung panjang pagar. Higher-order thinking process skills in solving mathematical problems are necessary in the learning process. The purpose of the study was to describe the high order thinking process of male and female students at analyzing (C4), evaluating (C5), and creating (C6) in problem solving. The participants were 1 male student and 1 female student. The main instrument was the researcher himself, and the supporting instruments were higher order thinking tests and interview guidelines to collect the data. To validate the data, this study utilized time triangulation. The data analysis was processed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The findings of the study revealed that the male subject could (C4), identify the problem, mention important things, and plan the solutions, (C5) evaluate the work, prove the similarity of the land area and provide an assessment, (C6) make two different pictures of the first answer's solution and prove the broad similarity. The female subject could (C4), recognize important and unimportant things, make a solution plan by drawing the land, prove the similarity of areas by connecting the material axes of symmetry and the formula of ​​a trapezoid area, (C5) evaluate the answer by calculating the land area and providing an assessment, and connecting the material concept of the axial symmetry, (C6) make a different picture, not prove the truth of the area similarity, and calculate the length of the fence.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to determine and create levels of intrapersonal and interpersonal skills in mathematics learning. This research includes qualitative research, the research subjects are MTsN 9 Jombang students. The main instrument is the researcher, supporting instruments: observation guide and interview guide. The research results found 3 levels of intrapersonal and interpersonal skills, namely high, medium and low. There are 3 levels, namely a high level of intrapersonal skills and a high level of interpersonal skills, 14 students, a medium level of intrapersonal skills and a moderate level of interpersonal skills, 5 students, a medium level of intrapersonal skills and low interpersonal skills, 13 students. Students who have a high level of intrapersonal skills and a high level of interpersonal skills are leaders or active social actors among their classmates. Students who are at a moderate level of intrapersonal skills and moderate levels of interpersonal skills are students who show a combination of characteristics and reflect a balanced ability to understand themselves and interact with others. Students with moderate levels of intrapersonal skills and low levels of interpersonal skills are students who have difficulty communicating effectively with others, lack self-confidence, are unsure in social interactions, have difficulty working together in groups, have difficulty understanding and adapting to social dynamics, tend to prefer to work alone or have their own time, and are less active in discussions.         Keywords: intrapersonal, interpersonal, mathematics learning DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v25i1.pp166-177

Abstract

Abstract:Certified teachers already have professional abilities and can construct learning media. This study describes the critical thinking process of certified teachers in constructing learning media based on critical thinking theory from Ennis, and student learning outcomes after using learning media from teachers. This research is combined research in sequential form, namely researchers using qualitative research and then continuing with quantitative research. Data collection is done through observation, interviews, test questions, and documentation. Data validity using time triangulation. The results showed that teachers have succeeded in constructing learning media through the critical thinking process in Trigonometry learning using PPT Hyperlink media. Student learning outcomes tend to be homogeneous compared to previous meetings with an average learning outcome of 79.00. This research can still be developed by increasing the number of research subjects with different sexes to facilitate the influence of gender differences in classroom learning activities. Abstrak:Guru bersertifikasi telah memiliki kemampuan profesional dan mampu mengkonstruksi media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan proses berpikir kritis guru bersertifikasi dalam mengkonstruksi media pembelajaran berdasarkan teori berpikir kritis dari Ennis, hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan media pembelajaran dari guru. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian gabungan dalam bentuk sekuensial yaitu peneliti menggunakan penelitian kualitatif kemudian dilanjutkan dengan penelitian kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, soal tes dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi waktu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan guru telah berhasil mengkonstruksi media pembelajaran melalui proses berpikir kritis dalam pembelajaran Trigonometri menggunakan media PPT Hyperlink. Hasil belajar siswa cenderung homogen dibanding pertemuan sebelumnya dengan rata-rata hasil belajar 79,00. Penelitian ini masih dapat dikembangkan dengan menambah jumlah subjek penelitian dengan jenis kelamin yang berbeda untuk memfasilitasi pengaruh perbedaan gender dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to describe the soft skill development of students in learning mathematics. This research was conducted at MTsN 9 Jombang in the even semester of the 2022/2023 school year. Prospective subjects are students of class IXC, totaling 29 students. Next, one subject is selected who has the highest soft skills score to be analyzed in depth and comprehensively. The main instrument is the researcher himself and the supporting instruments include problem solving test sheets, observation guides and interview guides. Data collection techniques using problem-solving tests about Prism, observation and in-depth interviews. The credibility of the data in this study uses source triangulation. The technical stages of data analysis include data reduction, data presentation, and the last step is conclusion. The results showed that the development of verbal mathematical communication soft skills was in the high category, and the development of non-verbal mathematical communication soft skills was in the high category. Development of creative soft skills in the medium category. Development of critical thinking soft skills in the high category. Development of soft skills to solve problems in the high category. Development of stress management soft skills in the high category. Soft skills collaboration in the high category. Time management soft skills in the high category.
