Abstract

Community service is one part of the tri dharma of higher education that must be carried out by a lecturer, community service this time has the theme of Development of Independent Learning as a Media for Realizing Early Childhood Learning Based on Tri Kaya Parisudha which is carried out by the Study Program Community Service Team S1 PG-PAUD at Teratai PAUD, Prince Sangupati Foundation, Leneng Village, Praya District, Central Lombok Regency with an implementation time of 5 (five) days from 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22 September 2021, through sradha bhakti coaching activities with Dharmagita, coaching Traditional Balinese dances, coaching learning strategies, coaching yoga, coaching spiritual songs with Hindu nuances, coaching memorizing mantra verse, coaching creative/modern dances, coaching health protocols and a clean and healthy lifestyle. All of the activities carried out involve the community, especially early childhood students, parents, adn young Hindus who live in the Leneng village area so later it can be expected that a synergistic relationship will occur between the community and the Gde Pudja Mataram State Hindu Institute for the realization of the Vision and Mission of the institution in general.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and examine the obstacles and obstacles to the life process of religious moderation in Hindu learning in high school education in Mataram City. The city of Mataram consists of a reasonably plural community life, including the lives of people who adhere to diverse religions, with most Muslims. Tolerance among religious believers is capital in building hope for the development of a harmonious life in the community. Hindu learning in high schools becomes a habituation in building the foundation of moderate religious life. However, its integration in learning has obstacles that will undoubtedly hinder the acceleration of the development of religious moderation among students as a national resource. This study uses qualitative research with a case study approach with data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews and document studies. Based on the results of the study and analysis of the data, there are obstacles and obstacles in the form of not optimal learning in the learning process of religious moderation in Hindu religious education. This is because the material on religious moderation has not been directly written. However, in essence, it is contained in materials such as yajna values, catur asrama, upaveda, catur Warna, Vedic as a source of Hindu law and dasa Yama and nyama brata as a teaching of self-control in Hinduism. It is hoped that through this study, Hindu students at the high school level can understand and implement religious moderation learning in building a harmonious and tolerant life when entering society. This study can also be a reference library for relevant research in the future.

Abstract

Melalui artikel ini penulis menerangkan secara kualitatif tentang bagaimana Keris brojol yang merupakan salah satu karya seni budaya sakral warisan adhi luhung nenek moyang bangsa Indonesia yang memiliki makna filosofi tentang cara menjalani hidup dengan sukses. Berdasarkan hasil kajian pustaka makna filosofi, keris brojol juga memiliki kesakralan sebab setiap keris pusaka yang dijadikan sebagai piandel, dibuat melalui sebuah prosesi ritual khusus sehingga memiliki daya magis yang dapat memberikan suatu tuah atau manfaat secara sekala dan niskala kepada si pemilik keris tersebut,sehingga pada artikel ini akan membahas dan mengulas tentang bagaimana keris brojol memberikan sugesti kepada si pemilik keris tersebut agar mampu menjalani hidup dengan sukses dan memperoleh solusi untuk dapat keluar dari permasalahan hidup. Sebab Keris Brojol dengan tuah magisnya dapat menjadi media sugesti untuk memprogram alam bawah sadar si pemilik untuk dapat menjadi lebih baik dan positif. Sebelum membuat sebilah keris seorang Empu menjalani beberapa tahapan yakni tahap pertama melakukan penyucian diri, tahap kedua melakukan pemilihan hari yang tepat untuk memulai pengerjaan bilah keris, tahap ketiga sang empu memilih bahan ataupun pesikutan yang tepat untuk si pemesan sesuai dengan tujuan dibuatnya bilah keris, tahap keempat memulai proses pembuatan bilah keris, tahap kelima setelah bilah keris jadi maka sang empu membuat sandangan dan tahap keenam yaitu tahap terakhir sang empu memfinishing bilah keris dengan mewarangi agar muncul pamor keris lalu melakukan proses sakralisasi yang sering dikenal dengan istilah Sidhikoro/Pasupati dengan maksud agar keris tersebut memiliki jiwa sehingga menghasilkan kekuatan magis sehingga mampu mewujudkan harapan si pemilik keris tersebut dalam menjalani hidup.

Abstract

Science learning for early childhood is very important to develop children's curiosity and understanding of the world around them. Through science learning, children can develop logical thinking skills, observation, and experimentation. The focus of this service is to integrate science learning with STEAM through simple science practices. The purpose of this service is to integrate science grounding with the STEAM Approach and the importance of science learning obtained for early childhood with simple science learning practices. The method used in this service is the counselling method and the simple science practice method. The results of this service are 1). Implement Holistic Learning, 2). Exploring the development of 21st Century Skills, 3) Increasing children's interest in learning science, 4). Active and Fun Learning, 5) Developing Creativity and Innovation in learning.

Abstract

Arts-based education has been recognized as a valuable approach in enriching students' learning experiences and developing their creativity. Teachers have a key role in managing effective arts-based education management. However, there is still limited research that specifically focuses on the strategies used by teachers in this context. Therefore, this study aims to identify and analyze the strategies used by teachers in managing arts-based education management. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data was collected through classroom observations and interviews with art teachers who have experience in managing arts-based education management. Data analysis was carried out through coding and thematic processes. The results of the study show that there are several strategies used by teachers in managing art-based education management. First, the teacher uses a collaborative approach by actively involving students in the art learning process. Second, the teacher applies a differentiation approach to meet the different learning needs of each student. Third, teachers integrate the arts with the core curriculum to increase the relevance of learning. Fourth, teachers utilize technology in art learning to expand access and increase interaction between teachers and students. In conclusion, teachers have an important role in managing arts-based education management.

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of prosody in the communication of early childhood education teachers. Prosody involves the appropriate use of intonation, rhythm, and speech tempo to enhance language comprehension, speaking skills, and children's engagement in learning. The article explains the positive impacts of utilizing prosody in children's learning, including better language comprehension, smoother speaking skills, improved understanding of meaning, increased engagement and motivation, and the development of social-emotional skills. Challenges in the use of prosody are also addressed, such as limited awareness and practical skills in regulating intonation and speech rhythm. However, the article also provides strategies to overcome these challenges, such as training and professional development, collaboration, reflection, the use of technology, and feedback. The implications for the professional development of teachers in prosody are also discussed, including training, collaboration, the use of technology, observation, and the formation of learning communities. This article provides an in-depth understanding of the role and benefits of prosody in the communication of early childhood education teachers, as well as practical guidance for teachers' professional development in mastering prosody.

Abstract

This article explores the cultural art of Kendang Beleq as an ethnopedagogical navigation to comprehend cultural aspects in education. The findings of this research are expected to provide information and education to enrich the understanding of Indonesian culture, especially in Lombok Island, by integrating the cultural art of Kendang Beleq into the educational process. A qualitative research method with a case study approach is employed to delve into the impact of Kendang Beleq integration in education. Key informants and research participants include students, teachers, and local community members involved in Kendang Beleq learning. The use of data collection instruments such as in-depth interviews, surveys, and observations ensures data variation and represents different perspectives. Through the case study approach and qualitative method, the research demonstrates positive impacts on the development of students' skills and increased cultural awareness. Empowering the local community through Kendang Beleq involvement is also emphasized. The results of this research provide practical recommendations for further development, offering a significant contribution to understanding the role of Kendang Beleq in opening windows of cultural understanding through ethnopedagogy in education.

Abstract

Keris, a traditional Indonesian weapon, plays a significant role in the civilization of the Balinese society in Lombok. Keris is not merely a weapon but also a symbol of culture, art, philosophy, and identity for the Balinese community. In this article, we explore the role of keris as a representative of humanity in the civilization of the Balinese society in Lombok. This research adopts a qualitative method, conducting field studies and interviews with community figures who possess extensive knowledge and experience regarding the Balinese keris in Lombok. The research findings indicate that the keris holds profound meaning for the Balinese society in Lombok. Firstly, the keris symbolizes a strong cultural identity. The keris serves as a marker of social status and bravery within the Balinese society. Owners of the keris are considered to have high standing and are respected by the community. Through the keris, the Balinese society in Lombok preserves and passes down their cultural values from generation to generation. The keris also represents the beauty of art. The process of crafting a keris involves high-level skills from the keris makers. The Balinese keris in Lombok features exquisite adornments, including intricate carvings and unique Balinese ornaments. The artistic beauty of the keris serves as an expression of the Balinese community's creativity. In conclusion, the keris holds significant meaning as a cultural symbol and an artistic expression for the Balinese society in Lombok. It represents their cultural identity, social status, bravery, and artistic creativity. This research sheds light on the profound role of the keris as a representative of humanity within the civilization of the Balinese society in Lombok.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of the Tri Hita Karana concept in the management of Hindu Early Childhood Education curricula in Mataram City. The background is grounded in the need to holistically integrate local wisdom and spiritual values into early education. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, with data collected through field observations, in-depth interviews with teachers, school administrators, and parents, and documentary analysis of five selected Hindu institutions. The findings indicate that the three dimensions of Tri Hita Karana Parahyangan (spiritual), Pawongan (social), and Palemahan (environmental) have been systematically integrated into the curriculum structure, learning activities, and assessment practices. This integration strengthens the formation of children’s character in alignment with character education theory and ecological child development frameworks. Key enabling factors include active family involvement, support from local cultural communities, and visionary leadership among teachers. Identified challenges include limited material resources, insufficient specialized teacher training, and national regulations that remain inadequately adaptive. This research provides empirical evidence and proposes a practical model for integrating Tri Hita Karana, offering a pathway for harmonizing national education policies with local cultural values. It contributes to the expanding literature on value-based local education and opens opportunities for developing teacher training modules on Tri Hita Karana, as well as strengthening networks for cultural-educational collaboration.

Abstract

Research related to the role of parents in increasing the effectiveness of delivering teacher material through offline learning media was carried out with the objectives of 1. To understand the role of parents during Covid-19, 2. To know the media and learning resources during Covid-19, 3. To analyze the role of people know in delivering teacher material during Covid-19. The Covid-19 pandemic has forced the government to carry out several emergency policies, one of which is Learning From Home (BDR). In this BDR activity, parents become a bridge of knowledge from teacher to child, so parents play an important role in online learning. Parents and teachers are expected to have good communication so that teaching and learning activities for children are not disturbed and can run. The government is expected to pay attention to the obstacles experienced by students, teachers, and parents.
