Abstract

In general, drainage is defined as a series of water structures that reduce and remove excess water from an area or land so that the land can function optimally. If drainage is problematic, it will result in puddles on the highway's surface. One of the highways that experience inundation due to problematic drainage is Wolter Monginsidi Street in Passo, Baguala District, Ambon City. The old drainage is damaged and the channel dimensions are small. So that the drainage channel is remade on the road. The old drainage channel is 894 m long, 78 cm wide and 76 cm high. In comparison, the new existing drainage channel has a length of 894 m, a width of 120 cm, and a height of 120 cm using 16-20 mm reinforcement. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the drainage channel on Jalan Wolter Monginsidi Passo, Baguala District, Ambon City to determine the dimensions of the existing channel, population growth, and disposal of household sewage entering the drainage channel and runoff discharge on the highway. Based on the calculation, the number of residents in the 10th year (the year 2032) is as many as 1,165 people, with the amount of discharge water (Qb) = 0, 00023283 m3 / s / ha, runoff discharge (Qr) = 0.00467 m3 / s, channel discharge (Qs) = 2.796480 m3 / s with a difference of 2.791783 m3 / s. So that the capacity of the drainage channel meets and is feasible to use

Abstract

Handling damage to the Laala-Olas village road section is by conducting a topographic survey and planning drainage channels. Where topography is a branch of science that focuses on examining the land surface and natural appearance of the earth's culture. The results of topographic studies are in the form of three-dimensional images or photographs, the output of which describes the relief of the high and low surface of the earth, the shape of the area, the slope of the earth, the object of the slope of the mountains, and others. Drainage itself is one of the elements of public infrastructure that people need in order to have a safe, comfortable, clean and healthy life. Its presence is very important for an area, especially residential areas and highways. This research method is carried out directly at the research location to obtain existig data directly from the field and literature research. the author uses the terrestrial method for topographic measurements and the rational method for planning drainage channels at the research location. From the topographic measurement data, the elevation of the new road body is planned at STA 0+000 - STA 0+850 by 60 cm from the original road body, at STA 2+650 - STA 4+750 and STA 4+900 - 6+000 by 40cm from the original road body. Then in the calculation of excavation and embankment, the excavation volume is 8403,62m3 and the embankment volume is 26960,94m3. in the planning of drainage channel dimensions for a 10-year return period, the peak width of the channel is 90cm, the width of the channel base is 55cm, and the channel depth is 75cm

Abstract

In general, drainage is an attempt to drain excess water in a certain context of use. If there is a problem with drainage, it will cause puddles on the surface of the highway. One of the roads that experienced puddles is A.Y. Patty Sirimau District, Ambon City. The drainage channel is not able to accommodate rainwater runoff which results in an increase in water discharge resulting in puddles on the highway. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the drainage channel of A.Y. Patty Sirimau District, Ambon City, to determine the dimensions of the existing canal, population growth, household dirty water disposal that enters the drainage channel and runoff discharge on the highway. From the results of calculations and analysis, it is obtained that the projected population in the 10th year is 2,9 1 18 people with discharge discharge (Qab) = 0.006955 m3/sec/ha and runoff discharge on the A.Y highway. Patty Sirimau District, Ambon City is Qs = 19.87599 m3/s, Or = 0.06341 m3/s with a difference in discharge of 19.81258 m3/s. So that the capacity of the drainage channel meets and is still suitable for use.
