Abstract

Abstract: This article aims to show the important role (contribution) of the film world in grounding the teachings of Islam through the sharah of hadith in the modern era (millennial), in this case it will focus on the film "CintaShubuh" on the YouTube channel Film Maker Mulim. The film "CintaShubuh" departs from the hadith of the Virtues of Shubuh prayer (HR. Bukhiri-Muslim), as shown at the beginning of the screening. The sharah of hadith in this film is carried out by displaying the Problem-Solving pattern, by making love issues a problem, a common issue among youth. As for the Shubuh prayer in congregation is the solution to the various problems of romance in the film. Film ?Cinta Shubuh? berangkat dari hadis keutamaan salat shubuh (HR. Bukhiri-Muslim), sebagaimana ditampilkan pada awal penayangannya. Syarah hadis dalam film ini dilakukan dengan menampilkan pola Problem-Solving, yang menjadikan isu percintaan sebagai isu yang marak terjadi di kalangan pemuda. Salat Shubuh berjamaah menjadi solusi atas berbagai problem percintaan dalam film tersebut. Artikel ini akan mendeskripsikan sekaligus menganalisis bagaimana hadis keutamaan salat shubuh mendapat syarah dalam film ?Cinta Shubuh?. Adapun kesimpulan dalam artikel ini adalah film cinta shubuh mengolah makna hadis keutamaan salat shubuh berjama?ah secara konkrit dalam bentuk keberhasilan dari berbagai segi kehidupan para pemainnnya. Upaya membumikan hadis dalam bentuk film, akan memunculkan diskusi dan pemaknaan yang khas sebagai bagian dari perkembangan kajian hadis di era media.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memahami kandungan surah al-Mā’idah/5: 49 berdasarkan metode verbalisasi Al-Qur’an dari Arab ke Indonesia. Upaya ini dihadirkan sebagai alternatif, dengan berangkat dari jati diri Al-Qur’an sebagai teks lisan, dalam menghubungkan spirit Al-Qur’an dengan Pancasila. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah bagaimana pemahaman verbalisasi surah al-Mā’idah/5: 49, dan bagaimana relevansi spirit ayat tersebut dengan Pancasila sehingga Pancasila dapat dilegitimasi oleh ayat ini? Adapun hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa surah al-Mā’idah/5: 49 pada penyampaiannya secara lisan sedang merespon upaya diskriminasi yang dilakukan oleh kelompok pemuka Yahudi terhadap kelompok lain yang lebih rendah darinya, serta mengabaikan sikap adil dalam menetapkan hukum. Allah, melalui ayat ini yang kemudian dilakukan oleh Nabi Muhammad, menolak sikap pemuka Yahudi tersebut. Berdasarkan pedoman hidup surah al-Mā’idah/5: 49 ini, Pancasila yang sejak kelahirannya berangkat dari nilai-nilai kemanusiaan, keadilan, keberagaman Indonesia, mendapat porsi untuk dilegitimasi oleh surah al-Mā’idah/5: 49, sebagaimana atas dasar kesamaan spirit yang disuarakan. Terlebih lagi, dalam lima sila Pancasila, semuanya menampilkan nilai-nilai holistik, adil, dan sesuai spirit Al-Qur’an.

Abstract

Ahmad Rafiq is well-known as a Living Qur'an expert in Indonesia, in fact he is referred to as one of the main initiators. However, in the course of the study of Living Qur'an, none of Ahmad Rafiq's works became references in Living Qur'an's literature, including the Living Qur'an ontology book and Hadith from UIN Sunan Kalijaga (2007) and Ubaydi's book (2019) ). Whereas Ahmad Rafiq's Living Qur'an idea was seen in his work in 2004. Therefore, this article aims to discuss what and how Ahmad Rafiq's Living Qur'an perspective, here will also position the Living Qur'an between text studies and sociology-anthropology. Through descriptive-analytical-interpretative analysis, this article concludes that the phenomenon of Living Qur'an has existed since the era of the Prophet, this phenomenon can be found throughout the development of Muslims from time to time, both in the initial environment of the emergence of the Qur’an (Arabic) let alone outside, Indonesia for example. Ahmad Rafiq himself emphasized the reading of transmission and transformation in the study of the Living Qur'an, which contains synchronous reception values in diachronic reception form from time to time. From here, Living Qur’an is in the position of studying text and sociology-anthropology at the same time.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas kajian sarjana Indonesia terkait moderasi beragama yang digaungkan oleh Muhammadiyah dengan mengarah pada pemetaan apakah kajian sarjana tersebut bernuansa studi Islam atau dakwah Islam. Data-data kajian sarjana diperoleh dari artikel jurnal yang dipublikasikan sejak edisi pertama 2016 hingga edisi kedua 2020. Melalui metode deskritpitf--analitis, artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa kajian-kajian sarjana Indonesia cenderung berkisar pada kajian bernuansa dakwah daripada studi. Artinya, para sarjana Indonesia cenderung menjadi perpanjangan tangan atas pemahaman dan gerakan moderasi beragama untuk konteks Indonesia. Semua latar belakang isu moderasi beragama dalam kajian sarjana Indonesia tersebut berdasarkan kegelisahannya menyaksikan fenomena radikalisme, terorisme, dan aksi ekslusif lainnya, yang secara riil membutuhkan solusi, termasuk dari perspektif Muhammadiyah. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa sisi teologi Islam yang melekat pada kesarjanaan senantiasa mempengaruhi kajiannya. Sehingga, sekalipun posisi sarjana Indonesia berada di ruang akademisi, yang menempatkan dan menuntut mereka sebagai peneliti, tetapi para sarjana tersebut tidak dapat dilepaskan dari identitasnya sebagai penganut agama Islam, yang yakin akan kebenaran agamanya dan bertujuan menyebarkannya, termasuk dalam hal moderasi beragama menurut ORMAS Islam Indonesia.

Abstract

This article aims to contextualize the hadith of Al-Bukhari's transmission number 5.559 about 'speaking the good or remain silent' through the Double Movement theory from Fazlu Rahman, which will then become the basis for a ban on the phenomenon of hate speech on social media. This departs from the reality of hate speech that is increasingly rampant, even though the act has been banned in the Circular Chief of Police number SE / 06 / X / 2005. After analyzing and analyzing the history of Al-Bukhari number 5559, this article concludes that the hadith is a response to the bad behavior experienced by Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Salam from his neighbor, one of which is mentioned in the hadith is not saying good, as an antonym of the word saying good. Behavior of not saying good here is also in line with the phenomenon of hate speech, especially entering the media era. The moral ideal of this tradition is as a command to say good, if it is unable or unwilling, it is better to be quiet, rather than doing hate speech. As for the threat of hate speech,, as the moral ideal of the hadith here, is not included as those who believe because they are not good or silent, but instead do hate speech.

Abstract

This article discusses mangaji tudang (Arabic: halaqah) initiated by AGH. As’ad at the pesantren of As’adiyah, which later developed and became a typical learning method for many pesantren in Eastern Indonesia. The phenomenon of mangaji tudang is used as a foothold in producing a pesantren-based model of Washatiyah. This article uses a type of literature processed based on the descriptive-analytical method concerning the socio-historical approach to related data to explore this goal. This article concludes that mangaji tudang not only brought students and the Bugis community to understand Islamic teachings but also created wasathiyah Islamic model. Thus, this article finds that mangaji tudang was initiated by AGH. As’ad is a learning method that integrates Islamic values into local culture, creating Wasathiyah Islamic model. Therefore, it is important to maintain, develop, and strengthen the existence of the mangaji tudang learning method to create a learning tradition that emphasizes Wasathiyah’s Islamic teachings

Abstract

This article examines the phenomenon of ‘ain being read ngain by ngapak children when reading the Qur'an. This article focuses on the Qur'an Education Park (Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur’an [TPQ]) Ayah village, Kebumen. The problem formulation of this article is how reading ngain as a representation of 'ain in reading the Qur'an among the ngapak children at TPQ At-Taqwa? This article is field research, so the primary data comes from interviews, observations, and documentation at TPQ At-Taqwa. This article uses a descriptive-analytical method with a qualitative approach and applies the theory of Qur'an reception by Ahmad Rafiq, especially functional reception. This article concludes that the pronunciation of ngain in reading the Qur'an among ngapak children in TPQ At-Taqwa Ayah village, Kebumen, is a phenomenon of the interaction of local ngapak Muslims towards the Qur'an which functions to get closer to the Quran. TPQ responds in a dynamic-contextual-based negotiation, which is not rigid and is according to social conditions. At first, the teachers tried to improve the pronunciation of ngain to become 'ain, but then ngain was accepted as a representation of 'ain with a function so that the children in the village could continue to be enthusiastic about reading the Qur'an. The findings of this study offer a humanist approach to the Qur’an by Muslim readings that are different from others so that they do not discriminate and can be tolerant, inclusive, and friendly towards the diversity that exists

Abstract

This article aims to discuss the exclusivity of tafsir on terms not translated by M. Quraish Shihab (MQS) in Tafsir Al-Misbah, especially to the terms caliph (al-Baqarah/2: 30), ummatan wasaṭān (al-Baqarah/2: 134), qawwāmūn (an-Nisa/4: 34), awliyā’ (al-Maidah/5: 51), and jilbāb (al-Ahzab/33: 59). The main argument of this article is that not translating a term of the Qur’an indicates the idiosyncrasies of that term, just as the expression ‘silence is golden’. This article uses the descriptionanalytical method, based on a qualitative approach. The results of this article show that the interpretation of MQS leads to two important things. First, the term has a variety of meanings among scholars-interpreters. Second, the emergence of meaning from the other party who wants to be criticized or raises a different meaning. The exclusivity of MQS exegesis arises as an attitude towards the socio-religious topics discussed in its tafsir. This article implies that not translating can be an alternative to an exegetical reception of Qur’anic terms, especially those with sensitivity and a variety of meanings.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan mengungkap nalar sosial-politik dalam penafsiran Sayyid Quthb terhadap QS. Al-Nas, yang sekalipun terbatas pada analisis konten tetapi penulis berargumentasi bahwa konten tafsir tidak lepas dari pengaruh kondisi penafsirnya. Tulisan ini menggunakan metode deskripsi-analitis berdasarkan pendekatan kualitatif dalam mendiskusikan tafsiran Sayyid Quthb atas QS. Al-Nas. Dari sini, tulisan ini menemukan bahwa nalar sosial-politik Sayyid Quthb memposisikan QS. Al-Nas sebagai surah pertempuran, di mana umat beriman melawan setan. Penafsirannya mengarahkan kepada: (1) Pelaku kejahatan (musuh umat beriman) adalah setan -baik langsung iblis/jin, maupun dalam bentuk manusia. (2) Setan membisikkan kejahatan sebagai serangan kepada manusia yang tak terhenti selama kehidupan, dan bisikan setan yang paling berbahaya dilakukan oleh manusia. (3) Umat beriman dianjurkan senantiasa berdzikir dan memohon perlindungan kepada Allah SWT sebagai upaya strategi perlindungan dan perlawanan terhadap serangan setan.
