Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi akibat adanya dampak negatif dari peningkatan penggunaan kendaraan bermotor yaitu masalah keamanan, polusi, kemacetan, emisi, penggunaan energi dan lainnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisa penggunaan busi standard, platinum, dan iridium terhadap emisi gas buang sepeda motor Scoopy PGM-FI 2020. Jenis penelitian eksperimen. Objek Penelitian yaitu Scoopy PGM-FI 2020. Instrumen penelitian yaitu tachometer dan gas analyzer. Teknik analisis data yaitu analisis persentase. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh bahwa penggunaan jenis busi platinum lebih baik untuk mengurangi kadar emisi gas buang, dengan analisis perbandingan dengan busi standard yaitu dengan kisaran rata-rata hasil CO yaitu 0.15% - 0,20%, dan rata-rata hasil CO₂ yaitu  3,9% - 6.4%, lalu untuk kadar HC dengan rata-rata yaitu 67 – 81 ppm. Kesimpulannya yaitu bahwasannya pemakaian jenis busi platinum yang mampu menurunkan kadar dari emisi gas buang baik dari CO, CO₂, maupun HC daripada penggunaan jenis busi standar ataupun iridium.  This research is motivated by the negative impacts of increasing use of motorized vehicles, namely safety issues, pollution, congestion, emissions, energy use and others. The aim of this research is to analyze the use of standard, platinum and iridium spark plugs on the exhaust gas emissions of the 2020 Scoopy PGM-FI motorbike. This type of research is experimental. The research object is the Scoopy PGM-FI 2020. The research instruments are the Tachometer and Gas Analyzer. The data analysis technique is percentage analysis. The research results showed that the use of platinum spark plugs is better for reducing exhaust gas emission levels, with a comparative analysis with standard spark plugs, namely with an average CO yield range of 0.15% - 0.20%, and an average CO₂ yield of 3. 9% - 6.4%, then for HC levels the average is 67 – 81 ppm. The conclusion is that the use of platinum spark plugs is able to reduce levels of exhaust emissions from both CO, CO₂, and HC compared to the use of standard or Iridium spark plugs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengevaluasi performa mesin sepeda motor injeksi 4 langkah menggunakan variasi rasio kompresi, derajat pengapian, busi, dan biogasoline. Pengujian dilakukan dengan variasi rasio kompresi, waktu pengapian, dan jenis busi untuk menentukan tingkat emisi HC dan CO yang optimal. Metode Taguchi digunakan dalam penelitian ini pada mesin Yamaha Vega ZR 2010 yang telah dimodifikasi dengan EFI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi optimal untuk emisi hidrokarbon adalah biogasoline E70, rasio kompresi 16,1:1, derajat pengapian +4°, dan busi nikel. Sedangkan untuk emisi karbon monoksida, kombinasi optimalnya adalah biogasoline E70, rasio kompresi 15,6:1, derajat pengapian +4°, dan busi platinum. Hasil pengujian verifikasi menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi optimal untuk emisi karbon monoksida lebih disarankan karena nilai total error yang lebih rendah. This study evaluates the performance of a four-stroke motorcycle engine using variations in compression ratio, ignition timing, spark plugs, and biogasoline. The tests were conducted with variations in compression ratio, ignition timing, and spark plug types to determine the optimal levels of HC and CO emissions. The Taguchi method was used in this study on a 2010 Yamaha Vega ZR engine modified with EFI. The results showed that the optimal combination for hydrocarbon emissions was biogasoline E70, a compression ratio of 16.1:1, ignition timing of +4°, and nickel spark plugs. For carbon monoxide emissions, the optimal combination was biogasoline E70, a compression ratio of 15.6:1, ignition timing of +4°, and platinum spark plugs. The result of verification indicated that the optimal combination for carbon monoxide emissions is more recommended due to a lower total error value.

Abstract

Transmisi jenis CVT pada sepeda motor matic mengandalkan roller dan spring untuk kinerja optimal. Beberapa variasi yang dilakukan akan memengaruhi torsi, daya, akselerasi, dan top speed. Penelitian bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh variasi roller dan spring pada sistem CVT sepeda motor matic, terhadap torsi, daya, akselerasi, dan top speed pada putaran mesin 5000 rpm hingga 9000 rpm. Metode eksperimen dengan menguji roller 15 gram, 8 gram, 9 gram, dan 10 gram dan spring menggunakan karakteristik variasi 1, 2, dan 3. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa roller 9 gram dan 10 gram mampu meningkatkan torsi dan daya pada 5000 rpm, namun mengurangi akselerasi pada putaran 5000 rpm. Roller 8 gram memberikan akselerasi lebih baik pada putaran 5000 rpm, meskipun daya pada 9000 rpm lebih rendah. Pegas variasi 3 unggul pada akselerasi dan top speed di 9000 rpm, sementara pegas variasi 1 dan 2 lebih baik pada akselerasi 5000 rpm. Pemilihan kombinasi roller dan spring yang tepat dapat mengoptimalkan performa CVT. CVT type transmission on automatic motorcycles relies on rollers and springs for optimal performance. Several variations that are carried out will affect torque, power, acceleration, and top speed. The study aims to analyze the effect of roller and spring variations on the CVT system of automatic motorcycles, on torque, power, acceleration, and top speed at engine speeds of 5000 rpm to 9000 rpm. The experimental method by testing 15 gram, 8 gram, 9 gram, and 10 gram rollers and springs using variation characteristics 1, 2, and 3. The results show that 9 gram and 10 gram rollers are able to increase torque and power at 5000 rpm, but reduce acceleration at 5000 rpm. The 8 gram roller provides better acceleration at 5000 rpm, although the power at 9000 rpm is lower. Spring variation 3 is superior in acceleration and top speed at 9000 rpm, while spring variations 1 and 2 are better at acceleration of 5000 rpm. Choosing the right combination of rollers and springs can optimize CVT performance.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi melalui platform interaktif seperti Quizizz diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Namun, pada kelas XI TKR SMKN 8 Tebo, pembelajaran PBKR masih menerapkan metode konvensional, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  menginvestigasi dampak pemanfaatan Quizizz terhadap ketertarikan dan pencapaian akademik siswa. Penelitian ini melibatkan 58 siswa yang terbagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok percobaan dan kelompok yang tidak diberi perlakuan. Data dikumpulkan melalui pelaksanaan pre-test dan post-test, serta kuesioner yang mengukur minat belajar. Hasil uji t menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan  signifikan pada pre-test (t = 1.122; p = 0.267), namun terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada post-test (t = 11.84; p < 0.05), di mana kelompok percobaan menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan. Penggunaan Quizizz terbukti efektif dalam membantu memperbaiki pencapaian belajar dan minat siswa. The use of information and communication technology through interactive platforms such as Quizizz is expected to improve the quality of learning. However, in the XI TKR class at SMKN 8 Tebo, the PBKR learning still applies conventional methods. This study aims to investigate the impact of using Quizizz on student engagement and academic achievement. The study involved 58 students, divided into two groups: the experimental group and the control group. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test assessments, as well as a questionnaire measuring learning interest. The t-test results showed no significant difference in the pre-test (t = 1.122; p = 0.267), but a significant difference in the post-test (t = 11.84; p < 0.05), with the experimental group showing a significant improvement. The use of Quizizz proved effective in enhancing student learning achievement and interest.

Abstract

Vocational High School education is expected to produce graduates who are in accordance with the needs of the industrial world. SMKS Yasipa Terpadu Pelabuhan Ratu majoring in Fashion Design seeks to achieve this goal with a Field Work Practice program in collaboration with PT. Lydia Sola Gracia. This study seeks to see the effectiveness of Field Work Practices in improving student competence from an industry perspective. The competencies of the students studied are hard skills, namely sewing productivity and soft skills, namely the level of student discipline between before and after field work practice. The study took a sample of grade XI students of Vocational High School. The research was carried out at SMK Yasipa Terpadu Pelabuhan Ratu academic year 2022/2023. The data in this study was taken from the population and sample of the study, namely class XI students of the Fashion Department. The example in this study was chosen using a census technique where the entire population was sampled, namely as many as 46 students. The results showed an increase in the average score of student sewing competence after participating in PKL, from 50.33 to 74.78. The results of the Wilcoxon difference test stated that there was a real influence of the PKL program on improving student competence. While this cooperation program does not affect the improvement of student discipline. Abstrak         Pendidikan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan diharapkan menghasilkan lulusan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dunia industri. SMKS Yasipa Terpadu Pelabuhan Ratu jurusan Tata Busana berupaya mencapai tujuan tersebut dengan program Praktik Kerja Lapang bekerja sama dengan PT. Lydia Sola Gracia. Penelitian ini berusaha melihat efektivitas Praktik Kerja Lapang dalam peningkatan kompetensi siswa dari perspektif industri. Kompetensi siswa yang diteliti adalah hard skill yaitu produktivitas menjahit dan soft skill yaitu tingkat kedisiplinan siswa antara sebelum dengan sesudah praktik kerja lapang. Penelitian mengambil sampel siswa kelas XI Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMK YASIPA Terpadu Pelabuhan Ratu pada Tahun Pelajaran 2022/ 2023. Data dalam penelitian ini diambil dari populasi dan contoh penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XI Jurusan Tata Busana. Contoh dalam penelitian ini dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik sensus di mana seluruh populasi menjadi contoh yaitu sebanyak 46 orang siswa Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan skor rata-rata kompetensi menjahit siswa setelah mengikuti PKL yaitu dari 50,33 menjadi 74,78. Hasil uji beda Wilcoxon menyatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang nyata program PKL terhadap peningkatan kompetensi siswa. Sedangkan program kerja sama ini tidak berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kedisiplinan siswa.

Abstract

This study presents a thermo-structural finite element analysis of a single-cylinder diesel piston using ANSYS, comparing three aluminum alloys: Al2618-T61, Al4032-T6, and Al6061-T6. A coupled simulation approach was applied, where steady-state thermal results were imported into static structural analysis. Realistic boundary conditions, including applied combustion pressure, symmetry constraints, and cylindrical pin supports, were implemented based on Yanmar TF55 engine geometry. Results indicate that Al6061-T6 experienced the highest deformation and stress, nearing its yield limit at elevated temperatures. In contrast, Al2618-T61 and Al4032-T6 maintained structural integrity, with lower stress and elastic deformation within safe limits. Al4032 demonstrated superior dimensional stability, while Al2618 exhibited better strength under thermal load. These findings validate the importance of coupled thermal-structural analysis and material selection in piston design. The proposed framework offers reliable guidance for developing more durable, thermally resilient pistons for modern diesel engines.

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) roller weight on fuel consumption and engine performance in motorcycles. The study involved experimental testing of motorcycles fitted with rollers of varying weights (9 grams and 12 grams) to evaluate their effects on fuel consumption, and overall engine performance. This study concludes that the choice of CVT roller weight significantly affects both fuel consumption and engine performance, with potential implications for optimizing motorcycle efficiency based on user preferences and riding conditions. This study found that the 9-gram roller produced greater torque and power (7.85 Nm at 3,500 RPM, 8.45 hp at 6,500 RPM) than the 12-gram roller, but its fuel consumption was higher at low RPM (SFC 0.07 kg/hp.h at 1,500 RPM).

Abstract

The high unemployment rate in Nagari Sialang Gaung, reaching 30–40% of the productive-age population, poses a serious problem hindering community welfare. This situation is paradoxical given the significant opportunities in the motor vehicle service sector, driven by an estimated 10% annual increase in the number of motorcycles. Unfortunately, this market potential remains largely untapped due to the lack of technical and entrepreneurial skills among the unemployed youth. The Prodi and Nagari Integration Program (PIPN) Life Skill was established to bridge this gap with a dual objective, enhancing motorcycle mechanic competence and fostering entrepreneurship through hands-on practice. The program was comprehensively designed, encompassing needs analysis, development of a curriculum based on local potential, technical training (covering both conventional and EFI injection systems), instruction in workshop management, and post-training business mentoring. Program results indicate a significant increase in participant competence, with 85% demonstrating the ability to perform repairs independently and 30% having successfully initiated small-scale repair businesses. This success underscores the critical importance of synergy between universities and village governance in empowering communities based on sustainable local potential, thereby contributing directly to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
