Abstract

The phenomenon of child exploitation reached 147 cases in Jambi City from 2021 to 2022. The Jambi City Community Empowerment, Women and Child Protection (DPMPPA) Office as one of the institutions that has a technical role in implementing child protection norms, standards, procedures and criteria, also has several times found that there are various forms of exploitation carried out against children. This study aims to find out more about the causal factors and the efforts made in overcoming acts of exploitation of children in Jambi City. The research method is empirical juridical with data collection through observation, interviews, and deficiencies. The results showed that the exploitation of children in Jambi City was mostly done by their own parents due to various factors such as the economy, environment, culture and education. Efforts made to child victims of this exploitation are by providing assistance and guidance by the Jambi City DPMPPA.

Abstract

This study examines law enforcement practices and their effectiveness in addressing illegal gold mining in Jambi Province, with additional analysis from the perspective of Fiqh Jinayah (Islamic criminal law). Employing an empirical juridical approach, the research was conducted in Sarolangun, Merangin, and Bungo Regencies. Informants included police officials from each region and individuals involved in illegal gold mining. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis, and analyzed via data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. Findings reveal that law enforcement efforts begin with public education on environmental protection and the legal consequences of illegal mining. However, these efforts remain largely ineffective due to legal, structural, and socio-economic challenges. Contributing factors include the misalignment between laws and local realities, vague legal formulations, limited outreach, inadequate sanctions, and resource constraints faced by authorities. From the perspective of Fiqh Jinayah, illegal gold mining is categorized under Jarimah Ta’zir, allowing judge’s discretion in sentencing. Punishments can include imprisonment, fines, corporal penalties, or warnings, guided by principles of justice for both society and offenders. The study suggests that integrating Fiqh Jinayah may offer a culturally relevant alternative to enhance the deterrent effect and improve the overall effectiveness of law enforcement in this context.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan adanya permasalahan yang ditemukan mengenai keterbatasan dalam media pembelajaran dan sulitnya dalam mengungkapkan suara dalam memainkan peran mendongeng serta belum meningkatnya perkembangan berbicara pada anak di TK HI Mutiara. Sehubung dengan adanya hal tersebut, peneliti mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis papan bergambar menggunakan metode mendongeng dalam meningkatkan perkembangan berbicara pada anak di TK HI Mutiara. Peneliti ini menggunakan metode (Research & Development) Model R&D 4D dengan 4 tahapan yaitu (1) Define (2) Design (3) Development (4) Dessiminaet. Teknik pengambilan data ini menggunakan observasi dan wawancara serta validasi ahli yang dilakukan oleh validator ahli media, ahli materi dan Reviewer. Hasil Validasi Ahli media sebesar 95,15%, Ahli Materi 94,54%, dan Reviewer 91,66%. Hasil ketiga validator tersebut dinyatakan sangat layak. Pada hasil uji coba skala kecil mendapatkan memperoleh nilai rata-rata 36% dan 62% serta uji coba skala besar memperoleh nilai rata-rata 44% dan 69%. di TK HI Mutiara Kec. Kapuas Murung Kab. Kapuas Prov. Kalteng ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis papan bergambar ini telah berhasil untuk meningkatkan perkembangan berbicara pada anak dan memenuhi kreteria efektif dan diakategorikan media ini layak dan berhasil dikembangkan dan dapat disebar luaskan.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas praktik pembayaran fidyah shalat dengan emas untuk orang yang sudah meninggal di Desa Tiangko, ditinjau dari perspektif mazhab Imam Syafi’i dan Imam Hanafi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami sejarah munculnya praktik tersebut, pandangan masyarakat, serta pendapat kedua mazhab. Metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif digunakan dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktik fidyah shalat mengikuti tradisi lama, dengan syarat utama penggunaan emas. Jika tidak ada emas, keluarga meminjam dari tetangga. Pandangan masyarakat terbagi antara yang menganggapnya tradisi penting dan yang melihatnya sebagai sesuatu yang kurang serius. Mazhab Imam Syafi’i umumnya tidak membolehkan fidyah shalat, kecuali dengan makanan pokok, sedangkan Imam Hanafi memperbolehkan fidyah dalam bentuk selain makanan pokok, seperti emas atau uang

Abstract

The use of technology is inseparable from the daily lives of students in Indonesia, but many still overlook the importance of possessing good digital well-being. This community service activity aims to raise students’ awareness of digital well-being through slogans in English. The community service was carried out at MAS Alwashliyah Gedung Johor for the tenth-grade students, involving 5 lecturers and 1 university student. The survey shows that most students are not yet aware of the importance of performing good digital well-being practice. In this workshop, students received information about digital-wellbeing and contributed to raising awareness among the community through slogans about digital well-being in English. The community service activity received positive feedback from students, as evidenced by the positive notes shared by students after participating in this workshop.

Abstract

The purpose of the law includes three elements: certainty, expediency, and justice. All three must be regarded asthe foundation for which the law is created not only of juridical value but also of philosophical and sociological value. This study aims to examine the decision of the Jambi District Court No. 387/Pid.B/2021/PN.Jmb which imposes imprisonment on polygamous perpetrators without the wife's and court's permission by considering the principles of legal certainty, benefit and justice. The research is normative legal research, with the object of study is legal principles accompanied by a case approach. The decision implies a conflict between legal certainty, the principle of justice, and the usefulness of the law, especially concerning the position of the convict. Therefore, justice in the court decision is considered partial, retributive justice, which is regarded as no longer relevant. Ideally, the punishment of the accused is accompanied by restitution to the victim by way of restorative justice, which is not only concerned with punishing and deterring the perpetrators but also about protecting the families as victims.

Abstract

Abstract: The essence of the purpose of law to realize certainty, expediency, and justice. The rule of law is created not only of juridical value, but also of philosophical and sociological value. This study examines the decision of the Jambi Disterict Court No. 387/Pid.B/2021/PN.Jmb which imposes imprisonment on polygamous perpetrators without the wife's and court's permission. The typology of research is in the form of normative legal research on the object of the study of legal principles with a case approach. This decision implies a conflict of legal certainty with the principle of justice and the usefulness of the law in relation to the position of the convict. Ideally, the punishment of the accused is accompanied by restitution by considering restorative justice, which is not only concerned with punishment and deterrence but also considers the protection of the victim’s family. Abstract

This research aims to determine the output, income and impact of empowering women to support the family economy through the Ashoka group in Pantai Selatan Hamlet. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method. Data is gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation, utilizing tools such as observation guides, interview guides, and documentation. The data analysis involves techniques such as data reduction, presentation, drawing conclusions, and verification. Data validity is ensured through extended observations and triangulation. The research results show that the output of women's empowerment is to support the family economy, such as helping to finance daily life, children's education, meeting household needs, recreation and so on. The result (income) of women's empowerment is providing knowledge to members such as attending training, increasing sales income received, improving the quality of members in making products. The impact of empowering women to support the family economy is that it has a positive effect on society, especially women's groups, providing opportunities to increase the abilities and development of women's groups in making products.
