Abstract

Islamic Religious Education in the contemporary era faces challenges in developing the character of students capable of living harmoniously in a multicultural society. This study examines the insertion of a love-based curriculum as an innovative solution in multicultural Islamic religious education. A love-based curriculum is an educational approach that integrates the values of compassion, tolerance, and empathy as the foundation of Islamic religious learning in the context of diversity. Through literature analysis and conceptual studies, this study explores the theoretical foundations, practical implementation, and potential impacts of a love-based curriculum. The results of the study indicate that a love-based curriculum can be a bridge connecting a profound understanding of religion with a tolerant attitude towards diversity. Its implementation requires transformations in learning approaches, teacher competencies, and a holistic evaluation system. This curriculum has the potential to produce a generation of Muslims with balanced spiritual, emotional, and social intelligence, capable of becoming agents of peace in a multicultural society. Implementation challenges include community resistance, limited resources, and the complexity of material development. However, great opportunities are open with the support of religious moderation policies and Indonesia's diversity as a natural laboratory. In conclusion, the insertion of a love-based curriculum in multicultural Islamic education is an urgent need to build a more peaceful and harmonious civilisation.

Abstract

This article examines the implementation of the concept of ecotheology in the reforestation movement at the As'adiyah Mattirowalie Islamic Boarding School, Bone Regency as an effort to build environmental awareness based on Islamic spirituality. The environmental degradation that is happening today requires a holistic approach that focuses not only on the technical aspects, but also on the spiritual and moral aspects. Through a qualitative approach with the participatory action research method, this study involved 150 students and 25 ustadz in a reforestation program that integrates Islamic values with environmental conservation practices. The results of the study showed that the ecotheology approach was able to increase the environmental awareness of students by 78% and succeeded in greening an area of 5 hectares around the Islamic boarding school. This program has succeeded in changing the paradigm of students from an anthropocentric understanding to a more sustainable ecocentric view. The implementation of ecotheology in Islamic boarding schools has proven to be effective in creating a generation of Muslims who have a high awareness of environmental sustainability.

Abstract

This article investigates the process of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at UPTD SD Negeri 181 Bulete, Pitumpanua Subdistrict, Wajo Regency, with a focus on the students' practice of Salat and the efforts of teachers in guiding its implementation. Using a qualitative approach with pedagogical, religious, and psychological perspectives, the study analyzes primary and secondary data through interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires. The findings reveal that the implementation of PAI involves three key components: preparation, which includes curriculum and lesson planning; the learning process, which focuses on the teacher’s ability to explain, the use of methods, and learning media; and evaluation, including feedback, tasks, and grades. The study also shows that the practice of Salat among students is still in the learning stage, with some students accustomed to it due to guidance from teachers and parents. Teachers play a vital role in this process by providing advice, being role models, and offering motivation. This study underscores the importance of Islamic Religious Education in shaping students' religious practices, particularly in the context of Salat, and highlights the significant role of teachers in this guidance.

Abstract

This research was conducted based on complaints about online learning, which seemed monotonous. There was no element of attraction to motivate students' enthusiasm for learning by improvising a contextual learning model of learning through the animated film "Bhineka Tunggal Ika" in the social studies subject with the theme of the ethnic and cultural diversity of Indonesia, Class 4th MI Tsamrotul Wathon Gondosari Kudus. The researcher used the classroom action research method with pre and post-implementation tests based on knowing the actual conditions when learning was carried out. Then the data collection uses qualitative methods by prioritizing interviews and triangulation because researchers are not oriented to learning outcomes but how the learning process can be carried out optimally to foster student motivation. The results of this study are learning responses that seem interesting so that students feel happy and can explain in their language. And support from several informants will be applied in other maps tailored to the theme. The implementation of online learning is carried out by implementing anime-movie shows that contain high educational value to provide material to students with fun and reach the target. As an educator, you should have good creativity in order to create learning that will be given to students.

Abstract

In the past decade, ethnomathematics-based technology has been prevalent in mathematics teaching, yet Islamic viewpoints are missing. Thus, this systematic analysis explores Islamic and digital culture-based media integration into mathematics education. PRISMA standards were used to collect research that met inclusion criteria for this systematic review. Google Scholar retrieved 2015–2025 research articles. The screening found 40 relevant articles. Thematic analysis categorized 40 papers' research trends and data. From 2020 to 2025, the number of publications increased significantly, peaking in 2024, indicating a greater focus on enhancing mathematics instruction through digital culture media and Islam. The period from 2015 to 2019 indicates a need for further research. Geometry is the main subject, with a few numbers, suggesting growth. Most participants are high school and elementary school kids, highlighting the value of digital culture and Islamic integration at both levels. Questionnaires and performance assessments revealed digital resource usability and Islamic value integration. This review suggests incorporating digital cultural elements and Islamic integration into math education. Using innovative pedagogical methods, technologies, and Islamic principles, educators can create engaging, culturally relevant learning experiences that improve students' arithmetic understanding and appreciation. Additionally, mathematics lessons can solve all problems in Islam by connecting the Quran's Words of God with mathematical concepts. The research is expected to facilitate mathematics learning and show its connection with the Quran. Mathematics lessons will be viewed within religion, not just as a regular subject.
