Abstract

Social and cultural change is a phenomenon that occurs continuously in every society. These changes encompass shifts in social structures and cultural patterns influenced by various internal and external factors. Education, as an integral part of society, is also affected by these dynamics, influencing curriculum design, teaching methodologies, and educational management. Rapid and revolutionary changes demand an adaptive educational system that remains relevant to contemporary needs. Therefore, understanding the relationship between socio-cultural changes and education is crucial in designing educational policies that are more responsive and adaptive to social dynamics.

Abstract

Measured and well-planned exercise, along with a balanced nutritional intake, are essential factors in maintaining the body's immunity. Regular physical activity can enhance the function of the heart, lungs, and circulatory system, as well as play a role in preventing diseases such as heart disease, hypertension, and stroke. However, not all types of exercise can be performed by the public, especially during a pandemic. Several factors need to be considered, including accessibility, time efficiency, and the availability of equipment and space. To support immune enhancement, exercise should adhere to the FITT principles (Frequency, Intensity, Time, Type). The recommended frequency of exercise is 3–5 times per week, with a moderate intensity (65%–75% of maximum heart rate). The suggested duration is 20–30 minutes per session, which can be increased up to one hour depending on individual capability. Recommended types of exercise are aerobic activities such as stationary cycling, walking, jogging, or jumping in place. Additionally, exercising in a positive mood can boost endorphin production, contributing to improved immune resilience.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of understanding and the diverse perceptions of tenth-grade students toward Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) learning at SMAN 4 Palangka Raya. Differences in students’ understanding, motivation, and perception are presumed to be influenced by internal and external factors. The internal factors examined include learning process, motivation, and personality, while the external factors cover intensity, size, contrast, repetition, movement, and novelty within the learning process. This research employed a descriptive design with a survey approach. The study population consisted of 282 students, with a sample of 56 students determined through random sampling techniques. The research instrument was a closed-ended questionnaire using a Likert scale rating format. The results showed that students’ perceptions of PJOK learning were categorized as less favorable, with an overall percentage of 60%. These findings indicate the need to improve the quality of PJOK learning, particularly in terms of teaching methods, student motivation, and a supportive learning environment.
