Abstract

Permasalahan sosial merupakan sebuah gejala atau fenomena yang muncul dalam realitas kehidupan masyarakat. Sikap adalah kecenderungan untuk bertindak, berpresepsi, berfikir dan merasa dalam menghadapi obyek, ide situasi atau nilai. Berdasarkan permasalahan sosial dalam masyarakat dapat diatasi dengan berbagai sikap atau tindakan yang dilakukan masyarakat dalam prosesnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana sikap, faktor pendukung dan penghambat masyarakat mendawai komplek sosial dalam menanggulangi masalah sosial; kenakalan remaja, kriminalitas dan pengangguran. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terjadinya permasalahan sosial yang ada yakni; kenakalan remaja, kriminalitas dan pengangguran di Jalan mendawai komplek sosial. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Jenis penelitian dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif yaitu menggambarkan dan menganalisis permasalahan yang ditemukan. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer diperoleh melalui wawancara langsung dan dokumentasi, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari buku-buku yang berkaitan dengan penelitian ini. Berdasarkan wawancara peneliti bersama informan masyarakat yang tinggal diwilayah tersebut, sikap masyarakat dalam menanggulangi permasalahan sosial tersebut sangat beragam, misalnya menegur, saling perduli satu sama lain hingga mendamaikan saat terjadi permasalahan yang sedang berlangsung. Terdapat beberapa faktor pendukung dalam upaya menanggulangi permasalahan yang terjadi misalnya; pemberian akses pendidikan, menyediakan sarana, memberikan wejangan hingga memperbaiki keadaan lingkungan sekitar. Selain faktor pendukung, ada juga faktor yang menghambat dalam menanggulangi permasalahan sosial misalnya; kebudayaan masyarakat, kondisi lingkungan serta pola fikir masyarakat itu sendiri yang belum paham akan pentingnya menangani sebuah permasalahan. Hendaknya masyarakat saling tenggang rasa dan peduli terhadap keadaan masyarakat demi terciptanya lingkungan yang baik, rukun dan damai.

Abstract

This type of research is Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) method research, namely planning, observing, implementing and evaluating activities together in empowerment activities. Data collection techniques were collected using questionnaires and interviews from the community. This research shows that a sustainable livelihood development program in the context of community economic development on a rural scale needs to be carried out, as is the case with Mangkatip Village, a village located in the Ex-Peatland Project Area (PLG). The people's economy in Mengkatip Village is still based on agriculture and is highly dependent on natural resources. A community economic development approach with a sustainable livelihood approach can be implemented in household economic development in a Mengkatip village. Developing a household economy based on a sustainable livelihood approach is a responsible way to maintain ecological and social balance. The Million Hectare Land Project is a project that is considered to cause various environmental problems. Not only about the physical environment but also about society and the humanities. To address this, a sustainable approach has been taken. Therefore, planning for economic empowerment through sustainable resource development is very important in areas experiencing environmental degradation.Keywords: Development; Social Economy; Sustainable.

Abstract

Introduction: The high ownership of smartphones among teenagers in Central Kalimantan, supported by increasingly widespread internet penetration, indicates the intense use of digital technology in everyday life. A national survey reveals that the majority of adolescents have a screen time of more than 3 hours per day, reflecting the dominance of screen-based activities. This condition has the potential to encourage a shift from healthy lifestyles towards sedentary lifestyles. Methods : This study is a correlational study with a cross-sectional approach in July-August 2025 involving 151 students from SMAN 2 Palangka Raya using simple random sampling. The inclusion criteria used were students of SMAN 2 Palangka Raya aged 14-17 years who had provided informed consent. Instruments used included the Screen Time Questionnaire, International Physical Activity Questionnaire, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, Patient Health Questionnaire Adolescent, BMI measurement sheet, and blood pressure recording. Then, the type of data used was ordinal, which was analyzed using Somers' d, with SPSS version 25. Results: There was a significant relationship between sleep quality p (0.000 <0.05), d (-0.181), mental health p (0.003<0.05), d (0.199), and BMI p (0.032 < 0.05), d (0.161). Meanwhile, no significant relationship was found in other variables (p > 0.05). Conclusion: School-based interventions and school–parent collaboration are needed to promote balanced digital use, healthy sleep habits, and physical activity among students. This study is limited by its cross-sectional design, self-reported data, and small single-school sample, which restrict causal inference and generalizability.

Abstract

This study examines the socio-economic conditions of students’ parents and their implications for fulfilling educational needs in a vocational school context. The research was conducted at SMKN 2 Kasongan, Katingan Regency, Indonesia, where students come from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, involving purposively selected informants, including parents, students, teachers, and school administrators. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, and analyzed using an interactive model of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that most parents belong to lower-middle socio-economic groups, characterized by low educational attainment, informal employment, and unstable income. These conditions limit students’ ability to access learning resources and meet practical training requirements, which are essential in vocational education. However, the study also finds that parental support—particularly in the form of motivation and educational commitment—plays a significant mediating role in mitigating the negative effects of economic constraints. Furthermore, the vocational education context intensifies the impact of socio-economic disparities due to its resource-intensive learning demands. This study contributes to the literature by highlighting that socio-economic status does not operate deterministically; instead, it interacts with parental involvement and institutional support in shaping students’ educational experiences. The findings suggest that schools should strengthen inclusive support systems and targeted assistance programs to reduce educational inequality, particularly in vocational settings in rural or underdeveloped areas.
