Abstract

The aim of this research is to conduct a study of the ELECTRE method as a support in decision making to obtain the best decision alternative from a number of decision alternatives. This research also aims to determine which bank alternative is the best alternative for stock investment using the ELECTRE method. The data used is secondary data obtained from bank financial reports for 2023 which is an alternative. The alternative banks used consist of 4 large banks in Indonesia. Meanwhile, the criteria used consist of 5 financial ratios, namely Return on Assets, Return on Equity, Price to Book Value, Price to Earning Ratio, and Debt to Equity Ratio. The results of this research show that BBNI shares are the best alternative bank for stock investment. The conclusion that can be obtained is that the ELECTRE method is effective for use as a support in decision making because the decision alternative that will be obtained is the best decision alternative that has a level of suitability above the suitability threshold and also at the same time has a level of nonconformity below the nonconformity threshold.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the penalty methods used in linear optimization. The main objective is to identify the advantages and disadvantages of each penalty method, as well as determine the specific context in which each method is most effective. This research belongs to the literature research type. The study is conducted on prepared cases to obtain the optimal result of each penalty method. Penalty methods and barrier methods are interrelated in optimization, especially in handling problems with constraints. The penalty method is used to start the solution search, while the barrier method is applied at the final stage to refine the solution. This is because the penalty method is able to provide an initial solution quickly, which can then be refined using the barrier method to better approach the constraint boundary.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the final ranking results of the AHP method through sensitivity analysis. The sensitivity value is sought to predict the situation if there is a change in the weight of the decision criteria. A case example in this research is the determination of an exemplary teacher at SDN 028068 Binjai based on their performance using the AHP method. The decision criteria for this research are Academic Qualifications ( ), Educator Certificate ( ), Pedagogical Competency ( ), Personality Competency ( ), Social Competency ( ), and Professional Competency ( ). Before sensitivity analysis, preliminary final results were obtained by the AHP method. From the final results of the initial ranking using the AHP method, experiments were carried out through several stages of sensitivity analysis. Of all the experiments, generally experienced the most changes in priority order, especially in  with 12 changes in alternative priority order. Then through the sensitivity testing process, sensitivity 1 gets the highest value in the experiment with a value of 0.0282, sensitivity 2 in the experiment with a value of 0.1269, and sensitivity 3 in the  experiment with a value of 0.1256.

Abstract

Robust regression in residential environmental performance measurement can provide significant benefits. This method can help identify and overcome uncertainties in measurement results so that decision making related to environmental protection and management can be done more accurately. This type of research is quantitative with a descriptive approach. The results of this study indicate that the results of the M-estimate robust regression estimation on simple housing environmental performance obtained the M-estimate robust regression equation, namely ŷ = 15.562+0.476X1-0.453X2+0.222X3-0.427X4. Based on the p-value test results, it shows that population attributes, house attributes, energy consumption volume and utilities and services have a significant effect on environmental performance. The results of the hypothesis testing of the M-estimation robust regression method on the environmental performance of simple housing obtained that the variables of population attributes and energy consumption volume have a positive and significant effect on environmental performance while the variables of house attributes and utilities and services have a negative and significant effect on environmental performance.

Abstract

As a marketing strategy, segmentation involves categorizing customers into specific groups based on their loyalty to a brand. This process is crucial in shaping an effective business strategy, as identifying various customer types enables businesses to target their marketing efforts more precisely. This research focuses on solving the cluster optimization problem by applying a combinatorial optimization approach to develop a cluster optimization method. The combinatorial optimization utilized here operates on a binary system, using 0s and 1s to identify the optimal cluster for each object. Specifically, a value of 1 indicates that an object is assigned to an optimal cluster, while a value of 0 signifies that the object belongs to a non-optimal cluster. By designating clusters with a value of 1, the method ensures that the best optimization value is achieved. The 0-1 non-linear problem model ensures that objects with the shortest distances between them are grouped in the same cluster. Additionally, the model guarantees that each object belongs to only one cluster and that, across k tests, every cluster contains at least one object. This model can also be used to determine the ideal number of clusters for a given dataset, ensuring optimal segmentation results for business applications.

Abstract

The proses of decision-making in stock investment considers criteria based on the personal preferences of each investor. In addition, investors also need to analyze fundamental factors that include quantitative and qualitative criteria in which external or internal factors are affecting the company. This is because stocks have a high level of risk, so the selection of a portfolio must be done with the right decision. In making decisions based on many criteria can use fuzzy AHP (analytical hierarchy process) and fuzzy TOPSIS methods. The use of fuzzy logic because it can to cope the subjective assessment result of investor preferences. The fuzzy AHP method is applied to obtain the weights of each criterion which are the factors of stock fundamental analysis. The fuzzy TOPSIS method is applied to determine the ranking of alternatives. Based on the analysis and calculation, the most influential sub criteria is inflation rate and top alternative is the company with the BBNI stock code. Abstract
