Abstract

One of the goals of the Antenatal Care (ANC) program is to identify abnormalities or complications early that may occur during pregnancy. The quality of antenatal care contributes to better outcomes for pregnant women. Meanwhile, at the Dinoyo Health Center, the coverage of antenatal care visits showed a decreased trend. Furthermore, the quality of ten antenatal care services (10T) was still unknown. This study aimed to evaluate the implementation of ten antenatal care services (10T) at the Dinoyo Health Center. This descriptive qualitative study was conducted at the Dinoyo Health Center on April 2022. Data were obtained from ten informants that were purposively selected and also from secondary data. Data analysis was carried out using the Discrepancy Evaluation Model (DEM) approach. The data triangulation process was also done. This study found that one of ten antenatal care services (10T) did not meet the standard. It was a counseling session.

Abstract

According to the 2013 Riskesdas results, in Indonesia there were 0.6% of the population aged 15 years and over or around 1 million people who actually felt the symptoms of DM in the last month but it was not certain whether they had diabetes or not (Ministry of Health, 2014). In addition, according to Riskesdas 2013, there are more than 8 million people with diabetes mellitus who have not been diagnosed (MOH, 2014). Early detection efforts need to be enforced both by using identification of risk factors and their symptoms and signs as well as throughphysical examination in the form of measuring blood sugar levels. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the results of early detection of DM disease using the android application "DM Personal Screening" with an examination ofrandom blood sugar levels of visitors to the Janti Health Center in Malang. This study used a correlative research design with a cross-sectional design and was conducted at the Janti Health Center in Malang. The sampling method used was a purposive sampling method with a total sample of 30 visitors. The measured variable is the result of early detection using the android application "DM Personal Screening" with random blood sugar levels. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire and Glucometer Easy Touch brand. Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate statistical analyzes. The measurement results show the relationship of random blood sugar levels with the measurement of DM personal screening is p value = 0.277. Conclusion was that there was no significant relationship between measurement results using KGDA examination with DM personal screening (p value -0.277).

Abstract

People living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) can have better health outcomes with early identification of the AIDS phase. In the first three years, PLWHA may progress to the AIDS stage. This cross-sectional study aimed to determine the relationship between multimorbidity, nutritional status and duration of Antiretroviral (ARV) treatment on major signs of PLWHA. This study was conducted in the Intermediate and Infectious Disease Treatment Unit (UPIPI) at regional public hospital (RSUD) Dr. Soetomo Surabaya from January to February 2023. As many as 52 PLWHA who started HIV treatment at RSUD Dr. Soetomo in 2020 to 2021 were sampled in this study, which was obtained from medical records. The dependent variable in this study was the major sign of HIV. Independent variables in this study were multimorbidity, nutritional status, and the duration of ARV treatment. This study found that 76.9% of PLWHA experienced major signs. Multimorbidity and duration of ARV treatment did not have an association with major signs of HIV (p-value > 0.05). Nutritional status has a significant association with major clinical symptoms of HIV (p-value < 0.05). PLWHA with underweight had higher odds of having a major sign (p-value = 0.017; PR = 1.507; 95% CI 1.131-2.008) than PLWHA with normal nutritional status. Thereby, it is hoped that the hospital will be assisted in determining health promotion needs such as screening and evaluation of nutritional status to monitor the nutritional status of patients, which will improve their health outcomes.
